The Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) has finally reacted to the leaked private video scandal involving actress Empress Njamah, one of its members.
Recall that Empress’ estranged fiancé, Wade, whom she had claimed was blackmailing her with her nudes, reportedly created a WhatsApp group where he allegedly leaked her private videos. Read here.
Reacting to the saga, the association called for the arrest of Empress’ ex-lover, Josh Wade.
In a statement signed and released by its Director of Communications, Kate Henshaw, the guild said that it was standing with Empress Njamah.
“This act of blackmail calculated to smear the image and publicly ridicule her by a man who claimed to be her lover is not only criminal but also evil and unacceptable. It is worthy to note that exposing nude videos and photographs of a person that injure her right to privacy is a serious offence.
“We have been in forefront of campaign of violence against women and we view the action of this so-called evil lover man as an act targeted at eroding her dignity and self-respect.
“We call on the law enforcement agents to apprehend the culprit and ensure he faces the full wrath of the law for violating the right and dignity of Empress Njamah. We urge her fans to give her their full support at this time. She will come through this stronger and better”. The statement read in part.

A young Caucasian man has gotten people talking on the internet after he revealed a bizarre fact about himself on the microblogging platform, Twitter.
The man with handle @samaoxcx, disclosed that he always microwaves his underwear before wearing it in reaction to a viral tweet asking people to share an unsettling fact about themselves.
According to him, the major reason why he microwaves his underpants is because he loves the warm and ‘toasty’ feeling he gets after wearing it.
He went on to share a photo and a video demonstrating how he microwaves his underwear to prove that he was not bluffing.
“Before wearing my underwear I microwave them so they’re warm n toasty,” the lady wrote.

Speaking on the Ebitz Show Efia admitted that she has dated some ugly men in the past, but added that they had money.

A Twitter user, identified as Kawu Garba, who relayed the story online, said the lady sold her belongings to sponsor her husband through law school.
However, after he graduated and got a good job, he decided to marry another wife but she refused to be in a polygamous marriage and divorced him.
She sadly left the marriage empty-handed because her husband was given full custody of their three children, and she remained single for four years.

Nigerian on-air personality, Oluwapelumi Orungbe, popularly known as N6, has shared his observation about Pastor Jerry Eze, the convener of trending praying platform, NSPPD – New Season Prophetic Prayers and Declaration.
Taking to Twitter, N6 asserted that majority of the prayer points raised by the clergyman can be easily solved by a working Government.

Recall that he released a song in October 2022 where he threw a shade at Apostle Johnson Suleman after the assassination attempt on his life, that left seven people dead.
In the freestyle song, the controversial singer spoke about how members of a certain church in Nigeria contributed to buying a bulletproof car for their pastor.
However, when the clergyman was attacked by unknown gunmen, he and his family were saved because of the bulletproof car, while his security details were exposed and killed.
Though he didn’t mention the clergyman’s name in the song, netizens knew for a fact that he was referring to Apostle Suleman.
In a new development, the ‘Azaman’ singer went a step further with the shade as he posted a still video of his photo and that of Apostle Suleman, with the song playing in the background.

Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed, has described those criticizing President Muhammadu Buhari over area of economic development as ignorant.

Operatives of the Katsina State Police Command have arrested a 19-year-old boy, Abdulrazak Ibraham, for conniving with two others to kidnap his 6-year-old cousin.
The suspect and his accomplices, Aliyu Salisu, and Muhammed Ibrahim, all 19, abducted the victim, Fatima Abubakar in Kano State and whisked her away to Katsina, where they demanded two million naira ransom to secure her release.
The Spokesperson of the Command, SP Gambo Isah, disclosed the incident in a statement released on Wednesday, January 11, 2012, where he confirmed that the victim’s cousin is the mastermind behind the kidnapping.
“On January 10, 2023, at about 1700 hours, based on credible intelligence, the command succeeded in bursting and arresting one (1) Abdulrazak Ibrahim alias “Popular”, “m,” aged 19 of Bachirawa quarters in Kano state, a cousin of the victim and also the mastermind behind the kidnapping.
“Aliyu Salisu alias “Chilo,” aged 19 years of Sabuwa Unguwa quarters in Katsina state, and three (3) Mohammed Ibrahim alias “Zalamo,” aged 19 years of Gidan Dawa quarters in Katsina state.
“Nemesis caught up with the syndicate when they kidnapped their victim, Fatima Abubakar, age 6, of Bachirawa quarters, Kano state, on January 6, 2023, at about 1100 hrs and whisked her to Katsina state, where they demanded a two million naira (N2,000,000.00) ransom.
“Upon receipt of the information, detectives immediately swung into action. The suspect (Aliyu Salisu, alias “Chilo”) was caught red-handed in the process of receiving the ransom. During the course of the investigation, the other members of the syndicate were also arrested, and the victim was rescued unharmed. The investigation is ongoing.”
A young Nigerian lady residing in the United States has taken to TikTok to bewail the struggles and cost of living abroad.
Speaking in a viral clip, the lady said she wouldn’t have relocated abroad if she was warned ahead about the tedious work it takes to make ends meet.

The pair recently set tongues wagging on social media after a video of them hugging tightly at an event made its way to the internet.
Toyin was at a cinema for a meet and greet with her fans when she ran into Sydney, who made a scene by hugging her tightly upon seeing her.
In the clip, Sydney is seen hugging and holding the married actress clumsily, an action many considered inappropriate.
“Yeye woman. Married woman o. No wonder she dey get issue with her husband,”a social media user wrote while reacting to the video.
Speaking amid the backlash, an unbothered Toyin took to the comments to disclose she also got a kiss from him.

In other news, a lecturer at the Nnamdi Azikiwe University (UNIZIK), Awka, Anambra State, Mrs. Uzodike Ngozi, was on Sunday, January 9, delivered of sextuplets.
Uzodike, who works in the Department of Business Administration, welcomed the babies – two boys and five girls – at the Obijackson Women and Children hospital, Okija, in Ihiala Local Government Area.
Her husband, Celestine Uzodike, who spoke to newsmen in tears, said they were slammed with N19 million bill because the babies were born prematurely at 29 weeks. He said one of the babies have passed away leaving them with six others.
Celestine, a junior aide to Governor Chukwuma Soludo, said their joy has almost turned to agony because the hospital has threatened to stop treatment on the remaining six babies if they fail to pay the N19 million bill.
According to the husband who appealed to the government, philanthropists, and other well-meaning Nigerians, to come to their aid, they have only paid N1.6 million of the N19 million billed by the hospital.
The Manager of the Hospital, Chika Ndu-Okonkwo, said though they are excited about the delivery, they charged N19 million because the babies will spend upto six to eight weeks in the hospital, and consume around N3 million each as they weighed only 1kg at birth.
A former Playboy model, Kelsey Turner, was on Tuesday, January 10, sentenced to 10 to 25 years in prison for her role in the 2019 murder of her 71-year-old lover, Dr. Thomas Burchard.
Turner and her then-boyfriend, Logan Kennison, 29, were arrested in 2019 after the police found Burchard’s body stuffed in the trunk of an abandoned car on March 7 of that year.
Turner and the septuagenarian was said to have dated for two years during which she received an estimated $300,000 from him, while he was also paying the monthly rent of $3,200 for her luxury Las Vegas apartment.

However, the payments suddenly stopped in November 2019, and Burchard travelled from California to Las Vegas to tell Turner that he could no longer foot her bills, which led to a physical altercation.
It was later discovered that Turner and Kennison beat Burchard to death in their home and hid his corpse in the trunk of Turner’s Mercedes. They allegedly bludgeoned him to death with a bat.

Their roommate, Diana Nicole Pena, 34, had in July 2019 confessed to being an accessory to murder after testifying that she helped clean the crime scene before fleeing Las Vegas with Turner and Kennison.

Kennison pleaded guilty to second-degree murder and conspiracy in July and was sentenced to 18 to 45 years in prison.
Evidence placing the three suspects at the crime scene includes a broken door, blood and cleaning supplies, footprints and more cleaning supplies in the garage, white and blue towels that matched those found with Burchard’s body.
A baseball bat which had Pena’s and Kennison’s fingerprints were also found in Turner’s vehicle.
A Chinese man, Geng Quangrong, who is standing trial for the alleged murder of his Nigerian girlfriend, told a Kano state high court on Wednesday that he spent over N60 million on her before killing her.
Recall that Geng was arrested in September 2022 after he attacked and killed his 23-year-old lover, Ummakulsum Sani Buhari, in her parents’ house at Janbulo quarters, Kumbotso Local Government Area of Kano State.
On Wednesday, January 11, at the resumption of his hearing before Justice Sanusi Ado Ma’aji of the Kano High Court, Geng told the court how the late Ummukulsum allegedly broke his heart twice and reneged on her promise to marry him.
He told the court that before and after he was jilted twice by his deceased lover, he transferred N60 million to her GTbank account number for personal use, besides N18 million he gave her to run a business and another N10 million he offered to buy a Car upon her demand.
“We started our relationship in July 2020 and she started asking for money. I gave her all she wanted because I loved her. I transferred over N60 million to her Bank account, N18 million for her to start a business, N4 million house and N6 million for University education among others. Whenever I go to pick her up for dinner at home her mum always welcomes me with open arms,” he said.
He mentioned to the court that in February 2022, he was shocked to find out that she got married to another person.
”I was heartbroken and disappointed so I relocated to Abuja. She kept calling me and chatting with me on Whatsapp and continued demanding money. Ummukulsum later told me she was divorced and asked me to come back to her and promised to marry me for the second time.” He narrated.
He added that on September 13, 2022, late Ummukulsum asked for money to continue her house project in Abuja. He said he told her that he does not have the money and she got very angry with him and stopped taking his calls.
“She thought I was broke that was why I don’t want to spend much money on her like before. She told me that she has found a new love and later sent her picture with the new lover on my WhatsApp which provoked me,” he told the court
Jamaican singer, Iniko, has revealed her father’s rather unexpected response after she informed him that she is now “genderless”.
The ‘King of Affirmation’ singer took to Twitter to share her father’s sentiment on Tuesday, January 10, and the tweet has gone viral on the micro-blogging platform with over three million views.
According to Iniko, her 60-year-old father was oddly receptive to her new gender identity and even said he is blessed to have a child whose existence stretches beyond this realm.
Iniko, who now identifies as ‘they/them’, wrote,
“I called my dad to tell him about being genderless and how I came to this conclusion about myself and he said “I am blessed to have children who’s existence stretches beyond this realm” and I just want to say that if a 60 year old Jamaican Rastafarian can get it, so can you.”
A Twitter user however opined that her father was probably under the influence of an intoxicant when he made the statement, but Iniko maintained that her dad doesn’t smoke.
A lecturer at the Nnamdi Azikiwe University (UNIZIK), Awka, Anambra State, Mrs. Uzodike Ngozi, was on Sunday, January 9, delivered of sextuplets.
Uzodike, who works in the Department of Business Administration, welcomed the babies – two boys and five girls – at the Obijackson Women and Children hospital, Okija, in Ihiala Local Government Area.
Her husband, Celestine Uzodike, who spoke to newsmen in tears, said they were slammed with N19 million bill because the babies were born prematurely at 29 weeks. He said one of the babies have passed away leaving them with six others.
Celestine, a junior aide to Governor Chukwuma Soludo, said their joy has almost turned to agony because the hospital has threatened to stop treatment on the remaining six babies if they fail to pay the N19 million bill.
According to the husband who appealed to the government, philanthropists, and other well-meaning Nigerians, to come to their aid, they have only paid N1.6 million of the N19 million billed by the hospital.
He complained that his wife has not been paid a kobo as salary since she got engaged as a lecturer in 2020, despite being promoted to Lecturer II.
The new mother, who also spoke to journalists, said, “All I want is for philanthropists to come to our aid so we can offset the N19 million hospital bill.”
The Manager of the Hospital, Chika Ndu-Okonkwo, said though they are excited about the delivery, they charged N19 million because the babies will spend upto six to eight weeks in the hospital, and consume around N3 million each as they weighed only 1kg at birth.
Popular Nigerian singer and music executive, Don Jazzy, has said that he can’t be committed to only one woman.
The Mavin boss stated this in a recent interview with media personality Nedu and his crew on the “Honest Brunch” podcast, acknowledging that he isn’t the kind of man to stick to one woman.

In a very sad report, an intending couple, Mba Ifeoma Gloria and Eremezie Tochukwu Martin, have been killed by yet-to-be identified gunmen at Arondizuogu in the Ideato North Local Government Area of Imo state.
The couple were set to tie the nuptial knot on Wednesday, January 18, 2023, before their lives were cut short by the unknown assailants.
Eyewitnesses say the couple were taking a ride in the groom’s brother’s tricycle when they were attacked by the gunmen who shot all three of them dead on Wednesday, January 11.
Disturbed by the incessant killings and kidnappings in their community, residents of the community came out in their numbers to lay hefty curses on the gunmen perpetrating the heinous crime.

A Ugandan student, identified as Martha, has complained bitterly after termites destroyed her belongings in her room in school.
Martha, who is broken-hearted by the incident, took to Twitter to share photos of the horror sight she met when she returned to school after a three-month break.
According to her, she had been at home for three months because schools were temporarily shut down in Uganda to curb the spread of Ebola.
Unfortunately, termites infested her room and damaged most of her documents and properties, leaving a dirty pile.

Awendo Sub-County Police Commander Mathias Pombo, who confirmed the development on Wednesday, told The Standard that the student’s mother filed a missing person’s report on Friday, January 6.
The Police commander said the student, who has since returned home, confessed to smearing cow blood on his vest and made a sharp distress scream before running away from his mother’s compound.
The man told police that it was his friend who advised him to do that to get money from his (suspect’s) mother.
“Shortly after wishing his mother good night at 9pm and departing for his house, he made a sharp distress call. When his mother rushed to his house, she only found her son’s blood-soaked vest,” Pombo said.
The following morning, the student’s mother went to the Awendo police post and filed a missing person’s report.
On Sunday, January 8, he slept at his friend’s house before embarking on a return-home journey, when it became clear to him that his mother won’t raise the Sh20,000 he’d demanded as ransom.
The suspect is being held in custody at Awendo Police Station as investigations continues.
Big Brother Naija season 7 winner, Phyna, has debunked her initial claim of terminating two pregnancies in the past.
Just recently, the reality TV star set the internet buzzing after she revealed she’d had two abortions at the ages of 19 and 24, respectively.
Explaining the reason behind her decision to terminate the pregnancies in an interview with Punch, she stated that she terminated her first pregnancy at age 19 because she was too young and couldn’t tell her parents about it.
She added that she aborted the second pregnancy at age 24 because she didn’t want to have a child with her then-boyfriend because he was physically abusive and toxic.
“As for my reasons for taking abortion pills, if there are 100 women in Nigeria today, 98 have done abortions. So, no one should judge me. I was in a 12-year relationship then and I was so young. The first abortion was when I was 19; I couldn’t go home to tell my parents that I was pregnant at that age. And the two pregnancies were so early like two to three weeks that I could just use tablets.” She said in part.

A Nigerian man has been left devastated after a DNA test showed that he’s not the biological father of his three children barely a year after he underwent vasectomy.
A Twitter doctor, identified as @drpenking, took to the microblogging platform to relay the heartbreaking story of one of his patients on Wednesday, January 11.
He said the embattled man decided to undergo vasectomy in February 2022 because his wife birthed their three child via Cesarean Section (CS) and they didn’t want to risk the chances of her falling pregnant again.
Sadly, he conducted a DNA test for his three children in January 2023 and discovered that they are not his biological children.

“I’ve battled so much to avoid saying this but I still got to say it because the guilt is enveloping me. February 11, 2022 at 9:40am, a young man approached me here on Twitter and asked to consult me. I gave him instructions and after making payment I set up a virtual consultation.
