Pastor Enoch Adeboye, General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), has stated that he has not yet heard from God on the general election that will take place across the nation next year.

Pastor Adeboye stated during his sermon at the RCCG 2022 Holy Ghost Service that God has not revealed to him whether or not there will be an election in 2023.

The preacher urged Nigerians to learn to laugh despite their difficult living conditions so they don’t acquire hypertension as he observed that the nation’s situation is worsening.

“We need to ask God for mercy because what’s going on in our country, it doesn’t even make sense anymore.
Our Naira now is not even worth the paper it is printed on. While people are hungry, trying to find enough money to buy bread to eat our Moses are thinking of making the Naira more beautiful that is, even if it can’t buy bread, at least it will look beautiful.
God must be merciful unto us. We will have to hold on to Him and say, ‘Please help.’ Do you know that up till now and this is November, Daddy hasn’t told me yet that there’s going to be an election next year.
We continue of course as if there’s going to be; I am saying that, Adeboye, I am not talking of other people, God has not told me yet. He may tell me tomorrow, I don’t know; but as of this moment that I am sitting before you, He hasn’t told me whether or not there will be an election next year.
Of course, as usual, anybody who comes to me and he says, ‘pray for me,’ I will pray for them. That’s my duty but it is up to God to answer. I am not trying to frighten you; I am not telling you that I know something secret that you don’t know; I am not a prophet I am just a pastor; but I am your Pastor. We need to pray. So I expect to see all of you on Friday the 2nd of December; come ready to pray.”

An American grandmother, identified as Nancy Hauck acted as a surrogate for her son and daughter-in-law, and she gave birth to Hannah, her granddaughter.

Cambria Hauck, Hannah’s mother, told TODAY Parents in September that she was unable to carry another baby after having already delivered two sets of twins.

She underwent an emergency hysterectomy after experiencing placenta increta following her previous delivery.
Cambria and Jeff had intended to use their saved embryos from past in vitro fertilization procedures for a second child, but Cambria didn’t want to endanger her life, so Nancy Hauck, Jeff’s 56-year-old mother, stepped in.

In an interview with TODAY Parents, Nancy, a mother of five, said she could feel this calling to offer to carry for them.
“I knew I was too old. I knew it wasn’t going to be possible, even though that’s exactly what happened. I just felt I needed to tell them I would be willing to do it.” she said.

“When Nancy came to us, I know most people would probably be like, ‘Oh my gosh, that’s crazy,’ but it didn’t feel like that, there was just so much peace around the whole conversation and around the whole experience,” Cambria told TODAY Parents.

After medical evaluations, doctors determined Nancy was a “good candidate” despite her age. She became pregnant after an embryo transfer and delivered Hannah on Nov. 2, 2022.

Cambria shared a video on Instagram that showcased their family and the love they showed Nancy during Hannah’s birth.
She wrote;

The Nigerian Immigration Service commander(NIS) has expressed concern over the alarming rate at which Nigerians leave the country in pursuit of greener pastures overseas.

On Thursday, November 3, the NIS commander in Enugu state, Joachim Olumba, spoke at a sensitization campaign for stakeholders on the problem of Smuggling of Migrants (SOM).

According to the immigration boss, social, economic, and security concerns usually motivated the desire to leave the country. He stated that Nigerians, particularly the youth, were fleeing the nation in large numbers.

In his words;

“Indeed, this program couldn’t have been held at a more appropriate time, considering the alarming rate at which, not only the youth, but older generation of Nigerians exhibit interest to leave the country. This is creating a worrisome phenomenon which has come to be popularly known in local parlance as “Japa”
To many, what is paramount is to achieve the goal of migrating from the country and not the means of reaching their destinations. Whether they are smuggled or trafficked, or they even get to leave the country by means of a stowaway, does not really matter to them. The ultimate interest is to relocate to foreign lands. As far as the vast majority are concerned, the end will eventually justify the means”

Olumba claimed that this desperation had caused terrible and unprintable hardships for a large number of migrants.

Nigerian singer, Mr. Eazi has disclosed that he engaged the billionaire’s daughter, Temi Otedola two weeks before officially announcing it on social media.

While talking with Susan Pwajok on the podcast ‘ Surviving Lagos’, he disclosed this fact and spoke about navigating celebrity life, and how they choose which information to divulge.

Autopsy confirms Davido’s son, Ifeanyi, drowned

The Lagos State Police Command has revealed that the autopsy conducted on the corpse of singer Davido’s son, Ifeanyi Adeleke, confirmed that the 3-year-old died as a result of drowning.

The state police public relations officer, Benjamin Hundeyin, made this disclosure in a chat with newsmen.

Hundeyin also revealed that the two suspects arrested in connection with the incident are still in custody.

“The two suspects are still with us. Autopsy has been concluded. The autopsy confirmed that he (Ifeanyi) died by drowning,” he said.

Ifeanyi Adeleke died on Monday, October 31 after he drowned in a swimming pool in his father’s mansion in Banana Island, Lagos state.

It was earlier reported that the two suspects arrested in connection with the death of Davido and his fiancée, Chioma Rowland’s son, Ifeanyi Adeleke, may face charges for negligence.

They might also be charged for negligence because they were directly in charge of Ifeanyi’s welfare while his parents were away.

A credible source said,

“The cook and the nanny were the ones directly with the child, so, they are guilty of negligence until the autopsy is conducted. During investigation, we have suspects, and depending on the case, the suspects may or may not be released.

So far, the family has not objected to the autopsy, but how fast it will be done depends on the hospital. But the next move is to review the CCTV at the house.”

An unidentified Nigerian man has ended his relationship with his girlfriend because she joins him in smoking marijuana.

According to him, he broke up with her after four years of dating because he was ready to get married and he could not deal with her smoking addiction.

In a WhatsApp voice note which surfaced online, the man and his woman were arguing over the decision to call it quits.

She reminded him that they met at a club, she was smoking and he said that he loved her like that and did not mind then.

The woman also revealed that he is the one who purchases the marijuana for her to smoke, so she is confused that he did not want to marry her because she smokes.

The man, on the other hand, reaffirmed his stance that he does not want to prolong the relationship since it will have an impact on their children.

He mentioned that a club is not a place to find a responsible woman, and he opted to buy her marijuana because he didn’t consider her as wife material.

A while back, Bisi Alimi asked closeted members of the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, and Intersex communities in Nigeria to come out of the closet.

Bisi, who is the first Nigerian to openly declare his sexuality as gay on national television, urged others still in the closet to come out.

The Governor of Kwara State, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, has appointed popular Instagram skit maker, Abdulgafar Ahmed, better known as “Cute Abiola”, as his Special Assistant on Creative Industries.

Abiola, a former Navy Officer, who recently resigned to focus squarely on his entertainment business, will assume the position with immediate effect.

New photos of the two-month-old baby, Miracle, whose hand was amputated after he was allegedly brutalized by his father has been shared online.

YabaleftOnline earlier reported that the child’s father, Mr. Confidence Amatobi, was accused of assaulting the 2-month-old baby with a plastic hanger for disturbing his sleep in Imo state.

The embattled baby was rushed to the Pediatrics ward of the Federal Medical Centre, FMC Owerri, where the doctors had no choice but to amputate his hand because it was already decaying.

In a new development, the first lady of Imo state, Chioma Uzodinma, paid a courtesy visit to Miracle and his mom at the hospital on Thursday, November 3.

Speaking at the hospital, Mrs Uzodinma said the police has issued an arrest warrant for Amatobi so he can face the full wrath of the law.

A while back, the mother of the embattled child, Favour Chikwe, 20, narrated her ordeal in the hands of her child’s father.

Speaking in an interview with BBC News Pidgin, Favour, a 20-year-old native of Idemili Community in Anambra State, said she has known the father of her child for four years.

She said they were both living together before she went to stay with her aunt in Anambra state where she gave birth to their child.

Following the delivery of the baby, Amatobi came to visit her in Anambra state and took her and their baby back to Imo state.

On the ill-fated day of the incident, Favour said she left Miracle with his father and went to use the convenience when she suddenly started hearing him cry uncontrollably.

She ran back to the room to see why he was crying and discovered that his right hand was swollen and bone broken from the beating he received from his father.

Nigerian singer-songwriter, Ikuforiji Olaitan Abdulrahman, Oxlade, has narrated how he worked as a conductor before venturing into music.

According to him, he dropped out of the university in his final year but his parents wanted him to go back and start from his 100 level, which meant he had to write JAMB again but he was uncomfortable with the idea, so he left the house and started squatting with two different friends.

He said he became a bus conductor to make ends meets, he would sell tickets in the morning and go to the cafe at night to sell more tickets to get money to buy food.

The artiste said that music was not a priority on his mind at the time, but one of the friends he was squatting with was a producer while the second guy was a video director.

Oxlade went on to say that he was a member of the Pella Squad, an acapella group from his church. When they tried to make a demo, they went to a producer, who let them use his recording space.

After recording sessions, he allegedly used to beg the producer to give him a chance. Coincidentally, rapper Blaqbonez was working on the same song at the time.

The singer claimed that Blaqbonez was the one who discovered him and was impressed by his sound; as a result, they collaborated on the recording of the song Mami Water.

Popular media personality, Daddy Freeze, has given a savage response to a social media user who asked him for a car.

A young man had reached out to Daddy Freeze on his verified Instagram page, asking him to buy him a car so he could use it for business.

The young man promised to pay back in installments whatever Daddy Freeze spends to buy him the car once he starts the business.

“Hello sir, “Please, I need a car for Bolt and Uber work; I’ll pay back in installments,” the man wrote.

Replying, Daddy Freeze, who appeared to have been enraged by the tone of the message, gave a sarcastic response to the follower.

He told the man that he also needs a plane for his private jet charter business and that he would also pay back the loan in installments.

Enitan, Kemi Olunloyo’s son, has explained why he disowned his mother and hoped she had spent an additional fourteen years in prison.

Popular American rapper, Nicki Minaj, has sent a condolence message to Nigerian singer, Davido, and his fiancée, Chioma, over the death of their son, Ifeanyi.

The three-year-old son of the Nigerian music star drowned in a swimming pool at his father’s residence in the Banana Island area of Lagos State on Monday, October 31.

Reacting to the sad incident on Thursday, via her verified Instagram page, international pop star Nicki Minaj extended her condolences to the bereaved couple.

“My deepest condolences to Chioma & @davido during this time.” She wrote.

Meanwhile, UK-based Nigerian Pastor, Tobi Adeboyega, has taken to social media to give an update on singer Davido and his fiancée, Chioma,’s wellbeing following the death of their son, Ifeanyi.

Since the unfortunate incident, the bereaved parents have been off social media and have yet to speak about the sad incident.

However, on Friday afternoon, Pastor Tobi Adeboyega, who is a friend of the couple, revealed on social media that they are both getting stronger.

He noted that he’s been able to speak to Davido twice after the incident, and Davido assured him that he and his fiancée are stronger.

“Spoke to the No.1 OBO, 2nd time, he is rising, they are both getting stronger praise God”, Pastor Tobi wrote.

Reality TV star and actor, Prince Nelson has narrated how a bus driver almost made him hit a Rolls Royce in Lagos.

Taking to Twitter to give a funny account of the incident, Prince said he almost collided with the Rolls Royce while trying to avoid the bus.

According to him, after the bus driver almost cost him a huge loss, he realized his mistake and waved at him to apologize before driving off.

The Big Brother Naija star tweeted;

“Bus drivers in Lagos are a complete menace . One werey driver almost made me hit a Rolls Royce while I was trying to dodge him . Wetin I for tell my mother that I was doing and hit a whole Rolls Royce!! Werey get mind to wave me sorry, na thunder for fire you and your sorry

My dear, imagine I called my insurance company that I hit an RR , they’ll cut the call on me.”

“This is disheartening, diabolism?” – Woman cries out after N20K mysteriously vanished from her piggy bank

A Nigerian woman has cried out online after over N20,000 she has been saving in her piggy bank mysteriously disappeared.

The woman, identified on Facebook as Adaobi Amandi, said she bought the wooden saving box, popularly known as Kolo, for her son a while back to teach him the act of saving.

She claimed to have been depositing money into the box and is certain that she has managed to save roughly N20,000.

However, she met the shock of her life when she decided to open the box after the CBN announced its plan to redesign the naira.

She said when she opened the box, all the money she had put in it had disappeared, leaving her with a 10-naira note that had been cut in half.

The distraught woman, while sharing the quite bizarre incident, said she had heard of such weird incidents happening to people but had never taken them seriously until it happened to her.

“So I’ve been hearing about this.. But I’ve never witnessed it nor believed it… I bought a saving box from a vendor here on Facebook…
It was a gift for David to teach him to start saving. Because of the recent talk about spending old notes before they expire, I decided to help David break it open and pay into the bank.

“There should have been at least 18 to 20k inside that box… But what I found was half of a N10 note!!! If this didn’t happen to me… I wouldn’t have believed it. I know where I kept that box and it’s just David and I who are here… the way the box was made, you’d know if someone opened it.

“The only reason why I haven’t tagged the vendor yet is I don’t want to seem like I’m accusing someone of diabolism. NEVER AGAIN would | buy anything of this sort from anyone. David is very upset and was so excited to see just how much he saved. This is very disheartening.”

Nollywood actor, Daniel Etim-Effiong, and his wife, Toyosi Phillips, are celebrating their fifth wedding anniversary today, November 4.

The thespian and his media personality wife shared screenshots of their very first WhatsApp chat on their respective social media pages to mark the occasion.

Screenshots of the chat shared by the couple show Toyosi was the first to reach out.

“Hey Etim!!! Its Toyosi Philips”, she wrote.

Etim praised his wife in his caption for making him a better man and noted that he is grateful for the years they’ve been married.

A while ago, Toyosi Effiong, the wife of popular Nollywood actor, Daniel Effiong, got netizens cackling on social media over her response to her husband’s request.

The celebrity couple were having an Instagram Live session on Friday, May 20, when the actor’s admirers started making comments about his good looks and saying they want to ‘share’ him with his wife.

Reacting to their advances, the actor asked his wife if she would agree to ‘share’ him with other women once in a while.

Toyosi’s response caught netizens by surprise, as she said she doesn’t mind sharing him with other woman as long as he’s open to sharing her with other men.

Landlady removes tenant’s roof over unpaid rent in Delta (video)

A landlady, identified as Augustas Okoro, has been called out on social media for removing the roof of her tenant’s apartment over unpaid rent in Warri, Delta State.

It was gathered that the tenant’s rent expired at the end of October last month, and because the landlady wanted the lady to move out of her property, she allegedly removed her roof.

Human rights activist, Comrade Israel Joe, who confirmed the incident in a Facebook post on Friday, November 4, 2022, said the tenant’s properties were destroyed by yesterday’s heavy downpours.

He further revealed that the incident was reported to the police, and the landlady is currently on the run.

“The Landlady, whom out of wickedness removed the roof of her tenant in Ogoro Crescent, Off Caroline Street, Okuokoko near Warri, Delta State is on the run. Yesterday we reported the case to the DPO Orerokpe CSP Oluwole who swung into action and got the workers who commiting the act arrested since the landlady ran away.

“The rain yesterday, destroyed the properties of the lady and such wickedness should not be entertained in modern society. The woman’s rent expired the end of last month October and the landlady Augustas Okoroo had chose in her callous method to removed the roof in order for the helpless lady to pack out.

“This should be warnings to Landlords and Landladies that there are legal methods of ejecting tenants out of a building instead of oppressive, harassing and cruel method.” He wrote.

Popular Nigerian Author, Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie has revealed that she did not originally set out to be an advocate for feminism.

While speaking at the Women in Management, Business & Public service(WIMBIZ) Conference on Friday, November 4, the writer said that feminism was never in her plans. She explained that seeing how women were oppressed in society influenced her advocacy.

Chimamanda described the pressure society imposes on women who marry late, don’t have children, or leave an abusive marriage.

According to her, judgment from society chokes the greatness that women carry. She urged women to support each other genuinely.

In her words;

“I did not set out to be a feminist icon, but I cannot stand the way women are being abused in the society and I feel like I have a platform that can make a difference, no matter how little.
A woman gathers the courage to leave an abusive marriage, and instead of being comforted and cared for, she’s being oppressed and insulted, even by fellow women. We need to change the narrative.
People don’t need to like you for the stand you take, all that matters is that you can sleep well at night, knowing that you have done and have said the right thing.”

former Nollywood actress, Tonto Dikeh, who is now a politician, admitted that she originally planned to become a pastor and that acting was an unexpected opportunity.

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) deputy governorship candidate for Rivers state made this claim in an interview with media personality Chude Jideonwo

Tonto Dikeh while speaking on her reason for joining politics revealed that she had ventured into different career paths despite once being a church girl who hoped to become a pastor.

“Most people don’t know this but I’ve been in politics for over 3 years and I work with presidency. The change I want, no one is doing that.
I’m an opportunist with this thing called acting or entertainment. But for God, he has ordained that step already. For me, I was just swimming in a swimming pool.
I mean, I was a church girl going to be a pastor. I was supposed to be a pastor, I still might be. Depending on where God is taking me to,” she said.

The young man, identified as @ayo__kunle on Twitter, took to the microblogging platform to share a throwback photo his mother snapped with him when she was serving the country years ago.

In the photo taken shortly after his birth, his mother who was all smiles wore her NYSC khaki and placed the cap on his little head.

Austine de Bull, the singer behind trending internet sound ‘shey you dey whine me’, has revealed the inspiration behind the song currently making waves online.

The Ogoni singer from Rivers state, in an interview with The Nation, said he was formerly a drummer before he received the calling to become a gospel singer in 2020.

However, when he told his family and close friends about the calling, they tried to dissuade him because he has no experience with music.

He said he believed in himself and his calling and knew he was supposed to become a Christian singer, so the chorus of the viral song ‘shey you dey whine me’ sprang up from that moment.

His words,

“As a drummer that had no idea or connection with singing, when the call came in 2020 to be a singer it was difficult to me myself because I never know how I will start because I have not done it before I had to discuss with some of my friends about the call to be a singer and they were laughing at me that this one I am a drummer and not a singer I won’t be able to do it so it was somehow to me, so I had to discuss with other neighbors who were still laughing at me so it was somehow because nobody believed in me, they were discouraging me so I was like ‘so they don’t want me to worship God shey Una dey whine me ni’ so that’s where the inspiration came so that’s the inspiration”.

When asked about the genre of his hit single, Austine said it is a Christian song fused with street slang and his local dialect ‘Ogoni‘.

“Yes, it is a Christian song but it is a mixture of a street slang and local dialect which is the Ogoni dialect, it means in English ‘who say make I no praise God shey you dey whine me ni’ and in Ogoni “Mena kon ma le da badi Shey you dey whine mi?” he said.

Speaking on how the song suddenly blew up on social media and became a trending sound, Austine explained that he simply posted a video snippet of the song on TikTok and it went viral.

He said,

“The calling came in 2020 but I never paid attention to it so when it keep coming around until 2022 this year I decided to pay attention to it that’s how it started that I came up with the song. During the video shoot, I did some behind the scenes with my phone camera so I posted it on my TikTok page just to create awareness that something big was coming though I never had any audience it was some people I had on my Tiktok that started posting and that’s how it blew up”

“She is a best friend” – Bella opens up on friendship with Phyna (Video)

Big Brother Naija season 7 second runner-up, Bella Okagbue, has spoken on her surprising closeness with colleague, Phyna after the show.

The ladies, who were usually at loggerheads and were involved in more than two epic fights during the level-up season, took their fans and lovers of the reality show by surprise with their sudden friendship after they left the house.

Speaking on her friendship with Phyna in a chat with E-splash, Bella explained how they moved from barely being able to stand each other in the house to being best of friends.

According to her, she got to know Phyna better during their last week in the house, and when they left the house, they were in the same hotel, which strengthened their bond.

She said Phyna was there when she needed someone the most, consoled her when she cried at night, and was there for her when she was sad and down.

Speaking further, she described level-up winner, Phyna as a best friend.
