An 8-year-old boy who was abducted by his stepfather has been rescued by detectives in Kenya and returned him to his devastated mother.

The suspect, Nemwel Ondar, abducted the boy early on Saturday, November 12, following a domestic dispute with his wife, Everline Nandera.

The perpetrator was apprehended when the boy’s frightened mother reported the incident to the Embakasi police station at around 9:30 am.

The suspect ordered and threatened to stab the boy to death with a kitchen knife if the wife didn’t take immediate action, according to a statement released by the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI.

“Nandera told detectives that she had left their home in Embakasi’s Tel Aviv area at the crack of dawn, headed for Muthurwa market.
But upon coming back at around 9:20am, she found her husband and son missing. A note had been left behind by the husband Nemwel Ondari, 32, demanding for a ransom of Sh50,000, for the release of the boy.
In the note, the man also warned his wife that he would kill the boy using a kitchen knife which he had carried, should she try any monkey business.
Immediately the woman filled her report at Embakasi police station, detectives from the elite Crime Research and Intelligence Bureau (CRIB) based at DCI Nairobi area were assembled and a manhunt for the suspect was launched.
The detectives assisted by their Embakasi counterparts traced the suspect and arrested him at the NMS Green Park matatu terminus off Haile Sellasie avenue, a few hours later.
The detectives established that the couple had a heated argument last night and after Everline left early in the morning for Muthurwa to fend for her family, the man packed his clothes and a kitchen knife in two bags, before taking off with the boy.
The detectives pounced on the man at around 4pm, as he eagerly waited for the ransom to be deposited into his Mpesa account.
Mother and child were reunited and the man was escorted to Embakasi police station, where he is cooling his heels awaiting arraignment.”

A young Nigerian man identified as Ibukun has shared what he described as a real culture shock from studying abroad.

The young man expressed shock at spending the afternoon with his lecturer and posted a picture they took together.

According to him, having lunch with his lecturer was a strange and unbelievable occurrence, and he claimed that Nigeria had damaged him.

In his words,

A Nigerian lady identified as Anita has stirred controversy online by revealing how much she makes as an employee of a car wash business.

The young woman claimed she made N150,000 every day washing cars for clients.

She announced this on her social media page in response to Nigerians’ complaints that there is no work in the country.

Anita posted pictures of herself washing a parked car’s tire even though she wasn’t wearing a uniform or dressing in a way that suggested she worked at a car wash.

Popular Nigerian clergyman and actor, Mike Bamiloye, has taken to his official Facebook page to issue a serious warning to people with broken marriages.

This follows the barrage of negative marital advise and bad press surrounding the institution of marriage on the internet.

Addressing people with broken marriages, Mike Bamiloye instructed them to desist from advising single folks, especially ladies, not to respect the institution of marriage.

The drama evangelist who has been married to his wife for 34 years wrote, “If you have got a broken marriage, don’t ever advise the single ladies not to respect the marriage institution”.

A while back, Mike Bamiloye also shared a post on his social media page encouraging people who are going through or having a failed marriage.

According to the post he shared, people in that category can still be joyful again because The Lord can heal the wounds sustained from a failed marriage. What they should not do however, is go about scaring young ladies who want to get married.

A Nigerian man has taken to social media to give a breakdown of what it means to be a ‘Mommy’s boy’ and why men should be happy to be referred to as such.

According to him, having your mother in your business came from a place of trust and security and it was a recipe for success.

The fact that this problem arises only in a Guy – Mother relationship has no bearing on lack of maturity or growth but on the fact that women are uncomfortable with a man that is too close to the mother.

There are footballers whose mom play that role – especially South Americans like Jesus and Chicarito to mention a few. She even lives with them. You can put up any argument but I’ve not seen a mother divert her son’s wealth to herself either by crook or legal means.

But I can list 10 players off the top of my head who went bankrupt because the wife they trusted with everything divorced snd took all their money or diverted his money through crooked means after trusting her to manage his affairs.

The point here is not to sat that you should not trust your woman. The point is that trust is earned and people do not lose their trusted position just because someone is married to you. It is not easy to find someone to trust that much and when it is family, it is a blessing.
If your mother’s guidance and advice protects you and keeps you safe, it doesn’t matter if you are 40, maintain that your close relationship. Not everyone has that. Don’t throw yours away. It is not a flex. You’ll always be a child to your mother anyway.

Back to the definition of what is mummy’s boy and what isn’t, you people.need to drop the dishonesty and wake up. Replace mom with senior sister and it is still a problem. It is never a problem with senior brother.

The problem is that women do not want you trusting another woman that isn’t her – even if it is family. It has nothing to do with maturity. You’re not immature for trusting the women in your family with your affair.

If you are called Mummy’s Boy, please wear it with pride. It is a privilege denied many. You are a lucky one.
