A young Nigerian lady has been thrown into mourning following the death of her 20-year-old boyfriend.
The young man, identified as Chikwado Augustine Ugorji, from Imo state, recently passed away and will be laid to rest at his father’s compound on Friday, July 15, 2022.
His girlfriend, @jesseshuga3, took to social media on Thursday, June 30 to mourn his demise.
She shared a video compilation of some of their loved-up moments together with heartbreak emojis.
The bereaved lady also used Lewis Capaldi’s “Someone You Loved” as the background music.

In other news, the Lagos state police command has arrested a 20-year-old security guard, identified as Samuel Maikasuw, for allegedly defiling and impregnating his employer’s teenage daughter.
It was gathered that Maikasuw served as a gatekeeper at the house of one Fadiji, who was a “surrogate parent” to the 15-year-old victim.
He’s said to have been caught in a compromising position with the minor last year but was warned against repeating it.
The Advocates for Children and Vulnerable Peoples Network (ACVP), while giving details of the case, said,

“Never marry a woman that has made it” – Actor, Samuel Jemitalo advises men following Funke Akindele and JJC Skillz’s failed marriage
Nollywood actor, Samuel Jemitalo, has advised men against marrying successful women.
The actor gave this advice while seemingly sharing his take on actress Funke Akindele’s split from her husband, JJC Skillz.
In the early hours of Thursday, June 30, rapper JJC Skillz announced the end of his marriage to award-winning thespian Funke. According to him, the last two years have been extremely difficult for them.
JJC disclosed that he had to move out of their home three months ago on the insistence of Funke Akindele, and had not been able to have a sit down with her since the Africa Magic Viewer’s Choice Awards in May.
Following the news, Samuel Jemitalo shared a photo of the now estranged couple on his Instagram page, and advised men against marrying successful men.

It’s a season of joy and celebration for a Nigerian man, Abayomi Michael, and his wife, Juliet Martins-Fanwo, as they welcome a set of twins after almost 13 years of waiting.
The couple, who have been married for 12 years and 6 months and have been waiting for the fruit of the womb, have been blessed with twin babies.
A close relative, Adebayo Emmanuel, took to Facebook to share the good news and congratulate the couple.

Senior police officer denies junior who claimed he benefitted from the N200k extorted from a Nigerian
The spokesperson of the Nigerian Police Force, CSP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, shared a hilarious incident which occurred between a senior and junior police officer on Wednesday, June 29.
In a tweet he shared, Adejobi shared how the senior and junior police officers were summoned for collecting N200,000 from a Nigerian. N525m fraud: Court jails ‘yahoo boy’ for 235 years in Uyo
Justice Agatha Okeke of the Federal High Court, Uyo has jailed a notorious ‘yahoo boy’ identified as Scales Olatunji to 235years imprisonment for internet fraud and money laundering.
EFCC spokesperson, Wilson Uwajeren, released a statement revealing that Olatunji was arraigned on July 2, 2019 on 45-count charges bordering on identity theft, money laundering and conspiracy.
One of the counts reads:
“That you, Scales Olatunji Ishola “M”, Meraiyebu Charles “M”(at large), Gabriel Adeyemi Olugbenga “M”(at large), Ojomo Oluwatobi Ayodele “M”(at large) and Adekola Oluwatoyin “M”(at large), between January 2017 to October 2018, in Nigeria, within the jurisdiction of this Honourable Court conspired amongst yourselves to convert the total sum of N525,172,580.00 (Five Hundred and Twenty Five Million, One Hundred and Seventy-two Thousand, Five Hundred and Eighty Naira) only, which sum you reasonably ought to have known forms part of proceeds of unlawful activities to wit: fraud (Business E-mail Compromise and Identity Theft), and thereby committed an offence contrary to Section 18 (a) of the Money Laundering (Prohibition) Act 2011 (as amended) and punishable under Section 15 (3) of the same Act”
Another count reads:
“That you, Scales Olatunji Ishola “M” on or about the 15th day of May 2018, in Nigeria, within the jurisdiction of this Honourable Court with intent to defraud did send electronic messages (email) using [email protected] to one Monica Goulmoen of the Charity Association for providing girls and boys in Kobane with a football pitch, while impersonating a certain Per Ravn Omdal, a former Norwegian Football Association President, demanding the sum of €64,000.00 (Sixty-Four Thousand Euros) to be transferred to you via IBAN GB74HBUK40062132722119 which was paid and you thereby committed an offence contrary to Section 22 (3)(b) of the Cybercrimes (Prohibition, Prevention, etc) Act 2015 and punishable under Section 22 (4) of the same Act”.
Delivering judgment on Monday, June 27, Justice Okeke convicted Olatunji on all the 45- counts preferred against him by the EFCC. Justice Okeke said that, “the evidence of the prosecution witnesses are consistent and the prosecution established the guilt of the defendant in the case of money laundering as it relates to count one to five of the charges. The prosecution also established the guilt of the defendant in the offence of cybercrime as it relates to count six to forty five of the charges. The prosecution, on the totality of evidence before this court, proved the charges against the defendant.”
The judge sentenced Olatunji to seven (7) years imprisonment on counts one to five, and five (5) years imprisonment on counts six to forty-five. The sentence, shall, however, run concurrently with effect from the date of arrest.
The convict met his waterloo when operatives of the EFCC arrested him on March 20, 2019 at his Ikota , Lekki’s residence based on a petition from the Oslo Police District in Norway, requesting the assistance of the EFCC in investigating a network of Nigerians that had defrauded Norwegian citizens for years.

A Nigerian guy proposed to his girlfriend in a rather unique and pretentious way and the video capturing the moment of his proposal has had tongues wagging on social media.
The guy’s partner is seen seated by his side with a couple of guys surrounding in a gathering that looks to be for the lady’s birthday. A cake is placed on the table where they are gathered, alongside other things to show a celebration was going on.
In a rather surprising moment, the young man is heard shouting at someone who he supposedly was on a call with, threatening to deal with the person because of the things they were saying to him.
He later ends the call and accuses his partner of being the cause of the aggressive phone he’d just had. Perplexed, the lady begins to ask who it was that called him, while the rest of his friends try to calm him down and ask what transpired.
He then goes on to say the person who had spoken with him, called to threaten him for taking his girlfriend out on her birthday… this led the lady to continue to ask who it was and even ask for the phone number of the person.
Moments later, as the situation seemed heated, the guy with a ring, then went down on one knee when the lady had turned around from him. After she was beckoned upon, she then turns around to see her man asking her to be his wife.

He said,
“We have been in so much debt to the extent that the school says they can no longer take it. They have sent us out of the dormitory. For seven days now, we have been living out of our dormitories. Some of us have been living in the mosque while some of us are nowhere to be found.”
Church members ‘manifest’ after drinking water from their Pastor’s ‘anointed’ taps
Some members of a church in Zimbabwe were pictured ‘manifesting’ after drinking from ‘anointed’ taps installed by their pastor.
The rather bizarre event took place at the Prophetic Healing and Deliverance (PHD) Ministries in Waterfalls, Harare, Zimbabwe.
According to the founder of the church, Prophet Walter Magaya, who took to Facebook to share the pictures, the taps are anointed and carry different types of anointing.
He also disclosed that the taps are part of the installations of his new walk through altar.
He wrote on Facebook;
“There are four taps and all are anointed. You should drink from all four for they carry a different anointing and they are commissioned differently. You are welcome to drink and have your own encounter.”
At the opening service, members of his church were seen queuing to drink water from the anointed taps and afterwards, some of them were carried away in the spirit and started ‘manifesting’ in abnormal ways.

A video making rounds on social media shows the moment a bold bus conductor shot his shot at a female passenger while the bus was in transit.
It appeared that the bus conductor was mesmerized by the lady’s beauty and didn’t want to miss the opportunity to talk to her so he decided to woo her inside the bus.
In the video, the conductor brought out his phone and pleaded with the young lady to give him his number and interestingly, she obliged his request and inputted her phone number on his phone.
When she was pressing his old model phone, the conductor couldn’t keep his eyes off her and kept smiling sheepishly while staring at her.
He then proceeded to ask for her name which she gave as “Favour” and then told her to bring her ear closer to him so he could whisper something to her. However, the rest of the conversation was inaudible.

Lady who sustained painful injury after making her beautiful nails, explains what happened (Video)
A Nigerian lady took to social media to explain how she sustained a quite painful injury hours after visiting a nail technician and getting her lovely nails done.
The lady had first shared a video showing off the nails she did before showing the injuries she sustained on two fingers and this had people asking what had happened to her.
She then decided to make a video explaining what went down — according to her, she had gone to make her hair and nails the previous day and the following day, was going to make a nice video of herself to show off her newly made hair and nails.
However, she didn’t have ring light stand to put her phone in place and so, she decided to place her phone on her window, which she’ll later realize was a bad idea.
She shared that while making the video, her was falling off and she instinctively tried to save her phone but it unfortunately cost her suffering an injury on two of her nails.

Lady who raised false kidnap alarm on Twitter arraigned in court (Video)
Amirah Safiyanu, the young lady who raised a false kidnap alarm on Twitter, has been arraigned at the Zone 2 Magistrate Court today, June 29.
Amira had, in a series of tweets on Tuesday, June 14, alleged that she and 17 other victims were abducted at gunpoint from different parts of Abuja by men in uniform and driven off in a van and later separated into two groups. She also tweeted the locations of the alleged kidnappers, claiming they were unaware that she was on the phone.
The police swung into action to rescue the alleged victims, but later disclosed in a statement that they had found Amirah and debunked the alleged kidnapping.
Amirah Safiyanu later apologized for misleading the public and the Nigerian police force. She claimed she had intentionally taken herself out of her house to those locations and starved herself for four days.
In her words,
“I intentionally took myself out of our house, went to these locations, entered bushes and dehydrated and starved myself for four days just like that, there was no kidnapping, nothing at all, I truly apologize and please pray for me. I Need it.”
Safiyanu was arrested and arraigned at the magistrate’s court in Zone 2 Abuja today, Wednesday, June 29.
The presiding judge, however, granted Safiyanu bail over mental health issues.

Man who became viral NYSC meme debunks claim of becoming a POS operator after service
Umar Ibrahim, the Nigerian man who became a viral sensation during his National Youth Service in 2018, has debunked claims that he’s now a POS operator.
Ibrahim became a viral NYSC meme after a photo of him shouting passionately during a parade at the NYSC orientation camp surfaced online.
Ibrahim recently revealed that he’s currently unemployed after tweeps asked for his whereabouts.
A Twitter user, however, alleged that Ibrahim now runs a point-of-sale service in his area.
Taking to his Twitter handle to dispel claims he’s a POS operator, Ibrahim wrote, “I am not in POS business. Happy, thankful, and hopeful with 9ja in my heart.”
“Ridiculed or admonished, rewarded or neglected, we stand for what’s right. The zeal in us of making a difference and believe in our dear country can never be killed!” He added.
In other news, Nigerian rapper, Erhiga Agarivbie, better known as Erigga, has reacted to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission’s (EFCC) 15-year jail term penalty for landlords who rent houses to internet fraudsters, popularly called “Yahoo Boys.”
The anti-graft agency recently warned that landlords who rent their houses to yahoo boys risk 15 years of imprisonment.
“Okay now! what a juicy topic E go sweet wella. Landlords way yahoo-boy dey stay him house, my people na 15 years imprisonment for the landlord o! E don set!”, a post on EFCC’s official Instagram page reads.
Reacting, Erigga then asked what the punishment for corrupt rulers of the country would be.
“Dem say 15 years imprisonment for landlord when rent house to yahoo boy but what about country when yahoo men dey rule?” Erigga asked on Twitter.”
