Davita Lamai, the baby mama to popular Nigerian singer Zlatan has taken to social media to correct the notion that she’s a man’s property.

According to Davita she’s no man’s property but belongs to God.

The 23-year-old lady, shared a video of herself on Instagram expressing her mood to which Zlatan responded with a laugh emoji.

However a follower, @rolly.vibelion took to the comment section to remind Davita that she belongs to the father of her child, Zlatan.

She wrote, “Zlatan’s property.”

The baby mama who wasn’t having any of it, quickly corrected rolly, stating that she belongs to God.
“I belong to no man. Only God, thank you. Goodbye.”

Recall that Davita and the singer welcomed their son whose name is Toluwalase Shiloh Ainoghena Omoniyi on the 29th of March, 2020 and made the announcement on 17th May, 2020.

Reality TV star, Natacha Akide otherwise known as Tacha, has revealed that she doesn’t know her current relationship status with her beau of 4 years.

The former BBNaija ‘pepper dem’ housemate was a guest on socialite, Toke Makinwa’s weekly vlog and they talked extensively about the lockdown, how they stay motivated, trolls and more.

Toke Makinwa asked about her relationship status and Tacha revealed that she doesn’t know her current status as she and her boyfriend haven’t communicated in a day.

She also talked about taking a break from the relationship because her boyfriend can’t keep up with her pace as he is always asking her to slow down.

In her words:

“Right now I don’t even know my relationship status really. I probably might get to my phone and see missed calls and we are back in a relationship. But for now, we haven’t really talked in a day.

I feel like it’s my zeal, it’s just too much.”

Foremost Nigerian Author and activist, Reno Omokri has condemned Tacha for referring to her critic as a lazy Nigerian youth.

Tacha had gone on Twitter to call for an end to SARS while stating that Nigerians need to protest on the streets, not just on social media.

When she didn’t go out to protest, a Twitter user @sayo_law called her out for it, writing: “So Tacha didn’t lead a protest today? Disappointing”

Reno reacted by telling Tacha to be humble because those same lazy youths are the ones who voted for her when she went for the Big Brother Naija reality show last year.

He wrote:

Joseph Yobo Resumes Duty As New Super Eagles Assistant Coach

Professional Nigerian footballer, Joseph Yobo has officially resumed his duty as the new Super Eagles Assistant Coach.

The former captain of the national team was appointed as Gernot Rohr’s assistant by the Nigeria Football Federation in February, 2020.

He was supposed to resume his managerial position against Sierra Leone a month later, but couldn’t because of the coronavirus pandemic.

The 40-year-old recently joined the squad in Austria for the friendly games against Algeria and Tunisia.

#ENDSARS: Runtown and Falz begin peaceful protest in Lagos

As scheduled, Nigerian top music acts, Runtown and Falz have begun their protest against the infamous division of the Nigerian Police Force, SARS.

The two singers, alongside other Nigerians and popular influencers convened at the Lekki toll gate, with banners having inscriptions that speaks against SARS officials.

As at the time of filing this report, the two singers alongside other Nigerians have begun marching the streets of Lagos chanting their demand to #EndSARS.

They will be matching to the office of the Assistant Inspector General of Police to tender a petition on the disbandment of the unit division.

This comes after the Inspector General of Police announced the ban of SARS’ operations on Sunday. More details as it unfolds.

A Nigerian lady, popularly known as Alchemist on Twitter, as taken to the platform to share her ordeal as an undergraduate in Nigeria.

Alchemist who concluded that Nigeria is not easy for the youth, disclosed that she gained admission to the university in 2014 for a for five year program, and she’s yet to graduate even after six years.

The undergraduate faults the Nigerian education system for her inability to graduate, as she claims she has no spill over.

The young lady stated that she gained admission at the age of 19, and would’ve expected that by the time she was 24 she would have been a graduate.

The aggrieved Nigerian youth in a tweet emphasized that the country is hard.

She tweeted,

“Got Admitted into University 2014 at the age of 19 ,offered a 5 year degree program but we are in 2020 and 2 months to 2021 and I’m still not a graduate without spill over or something like that , life in Nigeria is not easy for the youths.”

A video that’s begun serving rounds online shows the moment some unidentified thugs took off the cap of former Governor of Ekiti state, Ayodele Fayose.

The incident occurred during the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) final rally for its Ondo governorship candidate, Eyitayo Jegede.

The thugs in the viral video also threatened to deal with Ayodele if he continues speaking at the Ondo rally.

He was later escorted to his seat by security operatives who protected him against the hoodlums.

Clergyman Mike Bamiloye showers praises on his wife as they celebrate their 32nd wedding anniversary

The leader of the Mount Zion Faith Drama Ministries, Mike Bamiloye and his wife, Gloria, are celebrating their 32nd wedding anniversary.

The clergyman took out time to reflect on how they made plans to get married despite having nothing and how they have continued to stay married 32 years after.

In a post shared on his Instagram page, Bamiloye mentioned that his wife entered into marriage with a man who had no tangible job but was only going about ”acting up and down”.

He mentioned that his wife was adamant about getting married to him despite his poor financial status. He recounted how family members and friends rallied round to make their wedding a success because he couldn’t foot the bills.

He said despite all his challenges in his early days, his wife has remained submissive and faithful to him.

Posting the photo on the right, he wrote

So, the following Week on Saturday, when we were going to meet the rest Mount Zion brethren in Ilesa for drama ministration, GLORIA and I stood beside the road waiting for miracle of a car lift to Ilesa, because there was no money on us again:

32years later…
This Girl has still remained faithful and still following the Young Man Up and Down.

EFCC Presents First Witness Against Instagram Influencer, Adeherself

Instagram influencer, Rukayat Adedamola Adewale, aka Adeherself was rearraigned in court on Wednesday, October 7 and the EFCC presented its first witness to testify against her.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, presented one Samuel Orie, a compliance officer with Guaranty Trust Bank Plc as its first prosecution witness.

Adeherself was re-arraigned before Justice Sherifat Solebo at the Lagos State High Court sitting in Ikeja.

In a statement by the law enforcement agency,

“Adewale, 20, is being prosecuted on a three-count charge bordering on conspiracy to obtain by false pretence, attempt to obtain by false pretence and retention of proceeds of a criminal conduct.”

The popular Instagram socialite pleaded not guilty to all the charges.

The prosecution counsel, Samuel Daji presented his first witness, Orie who told the court that her statement of account and the account opening package has been released by the Bank.

Samuel Daji presented the documents before the court as evidence against Adeherself.

The case has however been adjourned till October 26, 2020.

Recall that Adeherself was arrested alongside four others by the EFCC, on the 16th of June, for internet fraud.

On Wednesday, July 15th, she was granted N500,000 bail by an Ikeja Special Offences Court in which she was ordered to provide two sureties with reliable means of income which would be verified by the court.

The influencer, who had been in the custody of the EFCC following her arraignment in court on July 7, is facing a charge of possession of a fraudulent document.

According to EFCC counsel, Samuel Daji, the defendant was arrested following intelligence received by the EFCC on the activities of some young men allegedly involved in internet fraud in the Lekki axis of Lagos.

Senator Elisha Abbo appeals N50m judgement; says sex toy incident was a ‘simple assault’

Nigerian senator, Elisha Abbo has appealed the judgment of a Federal High Court in Abuja ordering him to pay N50m as compensation to the lady he assaulted in 2019 inside a sex toy store.

The senator representing Adamawa North Senatorial District in Adamawa State was caught on CCTV assaulting Osimibibra Warmate at a sex toy shop in Wuse 2, Abuja.

Abbo won the criminal case instituted against him by the police before a Chief Magistrate Court in Zuba but Warmate filed a civil suit and Justice Samira Bature of the FCT High Court ruled against Abbo on September 28, 2020, and ordered him to pay N50m and publish an apology to his victim.

However, Abbo has appealed the judgement. He says the facts of the case disclosed an “alleged tort of simple assault” and not torture or inhuman treatment.

Abbo tendered his appeal on three premises: that the judge erred in law when he dismissed his preliminary objection to the effect that the suit was not recognisable under Section 34 of the 1999 Constitution and the fundamental rights enforcement procedure; that the facts of the case were contentious and could not be determined via affidavit evidence; that the trial judge erred when he held that the applicant had proved her case as required by law whereas the evidence was not in her favour.

Abbo went on to state that the court granting N50m compensation to Osimibibra Warmate was “excessive.”

Actress, Victoria Inyama has aired her doubt of Chacha Eke Faani’s claim that she has been diagnosed with Bipolar Disorder, few days after she publicly revealed the crash of her seven-year marriage to her hubby, Austin Faani.

Chacha had taken to social media recently to share a video on her Instagram page where she read a written speech claiming she has seen several psychiatrists and has been diagnosed with Bipolar disorder.

Inyama however doesn’t buy Chacha’s story — she who campaigns against women staying in an abusive marriage, pointed out that years of abuse make women believe they are crazy.

Woman deliberately transmitted HIV to her friend’s baby by breastfeeding him

A 23-year-old woman have been charged for deliberately transmitting HIV to her friend’s baby, by breastfeeding him in Zimbabwe.

It was reported that the woman deliberately infected her friends 10-month-old baby, when the mother dropped the baby with her to babysit in August.

It was alleged that the suspect knew that she was HIV positive at the time, but ignored the risk and went ahead to breastfeed the child because he was crying while playing with other kids.

However, the mother reported the matter to the police after one of the children who witnessed the incident informed her.

The suspect appeared at Harare Magistrates’ Court at the end of last month, and was initially charged with ill-treatment of a minor under the Children’s Act. She has since been charged with deliberate transmission of HIV and was granted Z$500 (£1) bail ahead of her trial on October 19.

Customs arrests man with 5,342 ATM cards in Kano

The Nigeria Customs Service, have arrested a Dubai-Bound passenger in possession of 5,342 ATM cards at the Malam Aminu Kano International Airport, Kano.

The Customs Area Comptroller, Nasir Ahmed, who handed the suspect over to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) revealed that he was arrested while about to board a Dubai-bound Ethiopian Airlines, with the ATM cards hidden in two sacks of beans.

Ahmed further stated that investigations will reveal whether the ATM cards were in use or expired.

He said,

“The law will take it course, We will hand him over to the EFCC. We are 100 per cent sure that the EFCC will do a thorough job because this a disservice to the nation”.

This is coming after one Onuwa Stephen, 37, was arrested in Benin, Edo State over ATM fraud.

The suspect was arrested at Obasanjo Shopping Complex Minna while he was about to purchase a large number of phones with another person’s ATM card.

During interrogation, the suspect confessed to have loitered around the premises of a Commercial Bank in Minna where he tricked a customer, spied her pin and swapped her ATM card.

A Twitter user, Ummie has given her reason why she refused to collect the sum of 5 million naira which a good Samaritan offered her.

According to Ummie, in a tweet on the micro-blogging platform, the person who offered her the money didn’t smile while presenting the money to her and so, she couldn’t accept it.

Speaking further, she stated that her rejection of the money will serve as a lesson to her giver.

She wrote,

I rejected 5 million yesterday because the person given me the money didn’t smile.

This will serve as a lesson to him

However, quite a handful of Twitter users descended on her after she shared her tweet, with most of them dubbing her a ‘liar’ and a ‘foolish’ person.

4 dead, many injured as gas explosion rocks Baruwa, Lagos

A gas explosion has rocked Best Roof Cooking Gas in Baruwa area of Alimosho Local Government of Lagos state in the early hours of today Thursday, 8th October, 2020.

According to reports, the incident occured around 6am this morning and left residents of the community scampering to safety.

The explosion affected several houses, a primary school and other properties. It was gathered that four persons lost their lives while many others were severely injured.

The LASEMA Director-General, Dr Olufemi Oke-Osanyintolu, confirming the incident in statement said,

“On arrival at the scene of the incident, it was observed that there was a gas explosion at the aforementioned location.

“Further investigation at the scene revealed that the gas station belonging to Best Roof Cooking Gas exploded by burning buildings around. The cause of the explosion could not be ascertained at the moment.

“Unfortunately, four mortalities were recorded and several others injured.

“A combined effort of the Agency’s Tiger team, Dolphin team, LRU Fire, LASG Fire Service, NPF, NUPENG, and LNSC are on ground to curtail the spread of the fire to other buildings.”

Just as promised, Nigerian singer, Runtown is getting set to embark on a peaceful protest to demand the dissolution of the Special Anti-Robber Squad (SARS) unit of the Nigeria Police Force.

Recall that he had offered to lead a protest today in response to the incessant attacks on youths by operatives of SARS.

“This has gone long enough and now we MUST take action! I’ll be leading a protest to #ENDSARS on Thursday, October 8th 2020.” he tweeted.

In a tweet posted via his handle today, the ‘Mad Over You ‘crooner announced the time for the commencement of the protest and urged Nigerians to go along with their face masks.

Brother of popular Nollywood actress, Chacha Eke, Aik Eke has spoken up over a video made by his sister claiming to be bipolar.

Speaking via his Instagram page, Aik stated his sister doesn’t have bipolar disorder and he’s aware that there’s a cover up somewhere — he blamed Chacha’s husband for trying to clear his name at his wife’s expense, someone he claims to love.

He wrote;

She married a man without no tangible job- Clergyman Mike Bamiloye praises his wife as they celebrate their 32nd wedding anniversary

Clergyman and filmmaker, Mike Bamiloye and his wife, Gloria, are celebrating their 32nd wedding anniversary.

Celebrating the milestone, Bamiloye took to his social media page to reflect on how they made plans to get married despite having nothing and how they have continued to stay married 32 years after.

According to Bamiloye, his wife entered into marriage with a man who had no tangible job but was only going about ”acting up and down”. He mentioned that his wife was adamant about getting married to him despite his poor financial status.

THROWBACK: OCTOBER 7TH, 1988, ENGAGEMENT DAY.

Very Innocent and humble girl.
Age: 24 Years Old.
The man she said she would marry had no tangible job but acting of drama up and down.
The families were so skeptical and would have rejected this plan, but these young boy and girl said hey wanted to marry.
This girl was entering into a future which only God knew.

Me: 28 Years Old.
Full time drama minister and no other job. Owing my Landlord about nine months house-rent at the time I entered into full time ministry.
It was Families who rose up to support this wedding o.
Because, me, I had nothing. No money, no nothing.
It was my Big Sister who rented our first house for us, so that we would not come and be living in her house.
And it was my wife’s Uncle who gave a little money to do some little things.
It was my Best Man who bought my Suit, Shirt and tie.
It was my Wife’s Aunty who sent us the Shoes I wore from America.
It was one of our ministry members who gave us the money we deposited for the Wedding gown, because we had gone to three places where we wanted to rent a Wedding Gown for N500.
It was the money we saved we used to deposit for our furniture for the living room.
Forget about bed.
A mattress was good for us for the first five or six months.
It was all the money gift we were dashed on Wedding Day we used to balance some debts and outstanding of the WEdding.
So, the following Week on Saturday, when we were going to meet the rest Mount Zion brethren in Ilesa for drama ministration, GLORIA and I stood beside the road waiting for miracle of a car lift to Ilesa, because there was no money on us again:
A WEEK AFTER WEDDING!

If you see what this Innocent Girl has passed through in the hand of a man who had no tangible job in hand, but to be acting drama up and down…
Well…
Fast forward to many years later.
32years later…
This Girl has still remained faithful and still following the Young Man Up and Down.
Still remains Submissive and Understanding.
And Now, today, this Young Innocent Girl is still following the Young Man Up and Down around the World.
And even till yesterday…
Even up till Today and Tomorrow

Nollywood actress, Chacha Eke has debunked speculations that her marriage crashed over domestic abuse from her husband, Austin Faani.

The thespian who cried out some days ago, that her 7-year-old marriage to Nollywood movie producer Austin Faani has ended, said she was diagnosed of bipolar disorder.

The beautiful mother of three said:

“Five days ago, I made a video saying that my marriage to Austin Faani is over. That video came with a lot of backlash, with people saying I suffered domestic violence.

That’s not true, Austin has never raised his hands on me. I am here at First Delta American hospital here in Asaba, I have been diagnosed with bipolar disorder.”

Busty Instagram model, Roman Goddess has tendered an apology to popular Nigerian politician and former Senator representing Kogi West, Dino Melaye over the controversial hotel video which went viral last weekend.

Recall that Roman Goddess had taken to social media to share videos of her visiting Dino Melaye who she described as her “uncle and daddy” in a hotel.

Following the controversy that trailed the video, Dino Melaye later took to his social media page to warn her that he is not her ‘uncle’. Roman Goddess has now apologized and she also stated that she wasn’t trying to jeopardize his image as a public figure.

Prison officer reportedly commits suicide after allegedly being denied a merited promotion three times

A prison officer identified as Alfred Bassa has allegedly committed suicide because he was denied a promotion three times despite meriting it.

28-year-old Bassa, a staff of the Nigerian Correctional Service, formerly known as Nigerian Prison Service, drank a poisonous substance on October 2, 2020, shortly after arriving at work at the Medium Security Custodial Centre, Keffi, Nasarawa State, Peoples Gazette reports.

The deceased reportedly wrote promotional examinations three times, passed three times and suffered denial from correctional authorities three times.

The microbiology graduate took the drastic decision to take his life as new set of officers were reportedly promoted last week and he was left out again.

According to the publication, his colleague had this to say ;

“He has watched as his contemporaries were being selectively promoted, including some who did not even pass promotional examinations,” People’s Gazette quoted a senior official as saying.

“He should have been at least promoted to assistant superintendent of prison II bar the injustice,”

Bassa was laid to rest on October 3.

Popular Nigerian Instagram twerk queen, Janemena has advised women in abusive relationship or marriages to call it quit before they loose their lives.

Janemana who gave this advise on her verified Instagram page noted that although quitting a relationship is hard but it would be better to treat a wound by oneself than the morgue attendant dressing the wounds for a funeral.

In her words,

“So I feel like I’m not one to share this because to be honest, I have never been in a violent relationship with anyone so I really don’t know the right things to say, BUT I really want to say this?.

“If you are in A violent relationship/marriage, Be it Emotional or Sexual abuse(yes there is, even if you are married to that person) and any type of violence you think can take your life in a second, Please Pack your things and leave o because when it happens. They will only write ‘eeyhaaa or Rip(yes they will also abbreviate it)?.

“Though they say it’s not easy to “PACK AND LEAVE” because sometimes we just want to try and repair what’s already broken, but is it not better to treat those wounds on your body than for the morgue attendants to beautify those wounds, just to get you ready for your funeral.

“If you are an abusive person, please change today. No be when you don kill person, you go try dey change and beg for forgiveness from God?.”
