Popular US trained journalist, Kemi Olunloyo, has called for Muslims to tear and burn their Qurans as according to her, it is a tool of destruction.

Angry Nigerians came out to blast handlers of MMM Nigeria page after the administrators posted Christmas message to its teaming audience.
Many bombarded the page to complain about their frozen money and the hardship it has brought on them. It was a real drama as people kept begging for their money to be released.
The scheme suspended the accounts of all participants early December with the promise to unfreeze it in January. However, people are still skeptical about the matter as speculation continue to trail the matter.
Many Nigerians have their millions in the scheme frozen and would believe the money will be released soon.
An official of the Eko Electricity Distribution Company (DISCO), Mr Francis Idoko, was on Friday beaten by residents of a building on Fish Pond St. Muwo Ojo, Lagos, for disconnecting their line.
The residents, who insisted that the official should reconnect them, after raining blows on him, also allegedly untied a dog, which attacked Mr. Idoko.
The DISCO official alleged that the building’s prepaid metre was illegally connected.
He said, “The house has a prepaid metre but the residents did not go through the right channel. We are on routine assignment and in the process, we came across the building; worked there and continue with other buildings on the street.
“It was while in the adjourning street, that one of the residents approached me and requested to know why the house was disconnected.
“I followed him to the house and he locked the gate against me.”
In her response, Mrs Afoke Oghenetaga, whose dog attacked him, said the residents contributed in buying the metres.
“Many of us, few days ago recharged with as much as N6,000 to enable us enjoy the Christmas and the New Year holidays; only for us to be cut off by this man,’’ she said.
According to her, the dog was not on chain and only acted in favour of the residents it was familiar with. She said the dog attacked the only stranger among them, adding that that person happened to be Francis Idoko.
On arrival at the scene, the DISCO Supervisor, in charge of the area, Mr Kingsely Amadi, who was contacted on phone, said that all those involved in the mayhem would be brought to book.
He said, “DISCO has been advising customers to formalise their metres to avoid embarrassment that can result to such chaotic situation. We are bent in serving our customers to the best of our ability but they too should . their roles to make things work.’’

The Oluwo of Iwo, Oba Abdulraheed Akanbi, has said he will not appear before a Magistrate’s Court in Osogbo, Osun State, which on Tuesday last week, issued a bench warrant for his arrest ( Read that here).
The monarch also declared that he was not involved in Internet fraud, known as Yahoo Yahoo, contrary to the allegation against him in a case before the court.
The Magistrate’s court, presided over by Mr. Olusola Aluko, had, on December 20, issued a bench warrant for the arrest of the traditional ruler for refusing to appear in court in a case instituted against him by the Oluwo of Iwo Oke, Oba Kadiri Adeoye.
Speaking with our correspondent on Sunday, Oba Akanbi said he was not a fraudster and would not appear before Aluko, alleging that the case had been compromised.
The monarch equally alleged that some monarchs, who were afraid of his rising fame, were using the traditional ruler in his domain to fabricate lies against him with the aim of destroying his reputation.
He said, “It is a shame on the judiciary to have such magistrate. There is no indictment; no case at all; somebody just brought a worthless paper before you. It is a civil case and you are relying on that to issue a warrant of arrest.
“I am not a criminal. Some people want to tarnish my name and they cooked up a lie that I am into Yahoo Yahoo. I am not. Can one be a monarch and still be doing Yahoo Yahoo? What do I need that for?
“The police commissioner is being represented in court, this is a civil matter; I was also represented in court by some traditional rulers and about five lawyers. Why didn’t he issue a bench warrant against the CP, who is the respondent in the case or was the CP present in court?
“All he just wants is to tarnish my name. That means it has a political undertone.”
The monarch said his achievements within a year of ascending the throne had intimidated some people including some monarchs, who he did not mention.
The magistrate had threatened to issue a bench warrant against the Iwo monarch on December 2 if Oba Akanbi failed to appear before the court on December 20.
The monarch did not appear in court but was represented by his counsel.
The Kano State born girl without a limb has died at the age of 19 years after a brief illness.
Rahma Haruna reportedly died at her Lahadin Makole’s home, Warawa Local Government Area of Kano State on Christmas day and had since been buried according to religious rites.
Rahma, who had no limbs, was moved about in a washbasin by a young cousin, begging for alms in the city of Kano.
