Wife Beats Her Husband with a Bat Because He Didn’t Get Her a Val’s Present

An Ohio woman was arrested on assault charges by police who said she attacked her husband and knocked him unconscious because he failed to buy her a Valentine Day’s present.
Kimberly Hammond, 46, had been drinking, her husband told Washington County Sheriff’s deputies. She scratched and hit his face during an argument, and then allegedly grabbed a mini baseball bat and hit him in the back of the head, the husband said, according to authorities.
He was knocked unconscious, and his wife continued to beat him as he came in and out of unconsciousness, deputies said.
Hammond said she was angry because her husband forgot to get her a Valentine gift, according to deputies, WTAP-TV reported. A breath test showed she had a blood-alcohol level of .221, deputies said.
She was arrested Sunday on assault and domestic violence charges. It was not clear whether she had posted bail or had been arraigned.

Lawyer Who Killed Her Husband In Ibadan Appears In Court

Yewande Oyediran, the Ibadan-based lawyer who allegedly killed her husband, Lowo Oyediran, at their Akobo residence in Ibadan on February 2nd, appeared before the Chief Magistrate’s Court in Iyaganku, Oyo state yesterday February 16th.
At the brief hearing of the case, Amos Adewale, the police officer investigating the case, informed the Chief Magistrate in charge of the case, Kehinde Durosaro-Tijani that based on legal advice from Department of Public Prosecution (DPP), the Magistrate’s court lacked the jurisdiction to hear the case and so the case should be transferred to the state High court.
The Chief Magistrate adjourned the case till March 1st and Yewande was taken back to Agodi prison where she has been locked up since the attack happened.
Prisoner impregnates herself with fellow inmates sperm to escape death row
The 42 year woman paid a 27 year old convict 50million Vietnamese Dong (£1,600) for his sperm which she used to impregnate herself with.
Nguyen Thi Hue, was arrested in the coastal province of Quang Ninh in 2012 on charges of drug trafficking, local newspaper Thanh Nien News reports. She was sentenced to death two years later.
When she appealed, the court upheld her sentence, according to the Associated Press. But it looks like Hue will avoid the death penalty after all.
The Vietnamese penal code forbids the execution of pregnant women or mothers with children under the age of 36 months and orders that in those cases the death penalty should be converted to life imprisonment.
Investigators discovered that Hue paid a 27-year-old male inmate more than $2,000 in August 2015 for his semen and syringes, which they say she used to inseminate herself. The baby is due in April, and Hue’s sentence will officially be reduced to life imprisonment after the birth.
Four officers at the prison have been suspended for alleged negligence, the Associated Press report.

I was misquoted, I never slept with 100 women – Sir Shina Peters Reacts

News went round earlier this year that, veteran Juju music star, Sir Shina Peters revealed that he has slept with at least 100 women. He reportedly made the assertion during a chat with YNaija.
The father of ace cinematographer, Clarence Peters has now refuted the claim in an interview with Saturday Punch, maintaining he never said such.
According to him,
“My friends and I were sitting down discussing about some young artistes and they were criticising them. I told them not to criticise the young singers because they would outgrow whatever they are doing now. I told them that it was youthful exuberance and that someone like me could relate with it because I had passed through more than what they are facing. I did not even mention anything about women. It is only a mad man that will say that I slept with 100 women. “Even if I did, is it something to be proud of? I never made any statement like that” said Sir Shina Peters.
He also revealed that being misquoted and spread of fake rumours are parts of the prizes one pays as a celebrity.

Donald Trump Will Not Be President – President Obama
United states 44th President, Barack Obama has on Tuesday, February 16, showed concern that he does not believe GOP front-runner Donald Trump will make it to the White House, but the real estate mogul took the remark as a compliment, saying Obama has done a “lousy job,” BBC reports.
“I continue to believe that Mr Trump will not be president. And the reason is because I have a lot of faith in the American people,” Mr Obama said while speaking at a press conference in Rancho Mirage, California.
Obama told reporters that he believed Americans still see the presidency as “a serious job.”
“It’s not hosting a talk show, or a reality show. It’s not promotion, it’s not marketing,” Obama said. “It’s hard and a lot of people count on us getting it right.”
Mr Trump, a billionaire businessman, is the front-runner in the race to be his party’s choice for the White House.
He has won one state primary already, and leads the polls in South Carolina, where Republicans voted on Saturday.
Reacting, Mr Trump said it was a compliment to be criticised by a president who had done so much damage to the country.
He also vowed that he would deport 11 million undocumented immigrants, build a wall on the southern border paid for by Mexico and that Muslims should be stopped from entering the US.

Pope Francis Loses His Cool After Being Knocked Down In Mexico
Pope Francis was ruffled by a restless Mexican crowd recently after an unidentified person almost knocked him down. For the first time, the normally calm Pope showed anger and shouted at the jostling onlooker.
In the Daily Mail’s video, the Pope can be seen walking towards a stadium. He stopped to greet the waiting children and suddenly, someone stretched out and pulled him, knocking him off balance.
The holy father fell on one of the children who was on a wheel chair. Quickly, his aides helped him up, but not after he lost his cool and yelled in Spanish, “Don’t be selfish!”

Passers-By React Angrily as Middle-aged Man Marries 12yr Old Girl in Seaside Wedding

A little girl of 12-years-old, wearing make-up, poses for photographs as she appears to marry a middle-aged man in this shocking wedding video.
This horrifying footage also seems to show her suit-clad husband, who is at least four decades older than her, clinging on to her.
Shot in Lebanon, the video has sparked an international outcry.

But, thankfully, the child bride and her groom were actors hired by the campaign group KAFA – which means “enough” in Arabic.
Amassing more than 1.7 million views since it was released, the clip offers up a window into another world where thousands of young girls in Lebanon, Syria and around the world who are forced into marriage.
Nearly 15 million girls who are as young as eight are forced to marry older men sometimes in their sixties and senventies.
According to the United Nations Population Fund more than 1.2 billion girls will be forced into child marriage by 2050.

Now the Government in Lebanon has introduced legislation it hopes will pass that will require all marriages to have a civil registration in an attempt to outlaw it.
Currently parents can give permission for their children to marry at the age of nine while a girl can give consent herself at the age of 14.

Campaigner Maya Ammar said: “The scene was supposed to seem shocking because the practice itself is shocking.”

Kylie Jenner ignores Kanye West’s rants, signs deal with Puma

It is being reported that Kylie Jenner has officially signed a deal with Puma, despite Kanye West’s assertions that she would not.
Last week, during one of his Twitter outbursts, Kanye West revealed that sportswear maker Puma was trying to close a deal with Kylie Jenner and that they offered her a million dollars.
“1000% there will never be a Kylie Puma anything,” Ye tweeted with certainty, “That’s on my family! 1000% Kylie is on Yeezy team. Puma, we gone give you your measly million dollars back. Never divide the family.”
But the 18-year-old reality TV star has sealed the deal with Puma to become the face of the brand. According to shoe blog Nice Kicks, photo shoots have already been done following the confirmation of the deal. Kylie will become a brand advocate and will support Puma releases on social media by starring in campaigns.

Peter Okoye Comes For His Older Brother, Jude on Twitter

For the past few months, The PSquare clan hasn’t released any new music. Apparently, the other half of Psquare brothers, Peter Okoye has not revealed the reason for the silence from Psquare.
The singer laid all blames to the management team of PSquare which is of course headed by their older brother, Jude Okoye.
Peter took to twitter to state reasons why Jude okoye must be sacked as the group’s manager: “I don’t have a problem with Paul,” he clarified his relationship with his twin, “My loyalty to PSquare and the fans still remains 100%.”
“Please whosoever makes any transaction with Northside Entertainment or Jude Okoye on Psquare’s behalf does so at their own risk. #warning,” the father of two continued, adding that “Family business can be [a] pain in the a$$.”

In 2013, Jude Okoye launched Northside Music Inc. and signed ‘German Juice’ singer, Cynthia Morgan as his first artiste. Peter Okoye set up his own record label ‘P-Classic’ in 2014, and a few weeks ago, Paul floated his own Rudeboy Records.
Through all this, Get Squared Records which P-Square is attached to has remained mostly neglected, fuelling the stories of a split. Now He has lent credence to the rumours via a series of tell-all tweets.

Kim K Reportedly ‘Can’t Stand’ Hubby, Kanye West’s Twitter Drama!
With this, we can say there is a little problem with the Kimye.. As we know, Kanye West has been tweeting up a storm in recent days, but his beautiful wife, Kim Kardashian is not ready to support him..
via People:
A source tells PEOPLE that, while “Kim is a very supportive wife” and “rarely complains,” she’s not a fan of the social media sagas.
Though Kim keeps a level head about most of her husband’s eccentric behavior, says the source: “What causes friction in the marriage, however, is Kanye’s compulsive tweeting. Kim can’t stand it. She is all for self-promotion, but doesn’t approve of Twitter drama.”
“She was very mad about Kanye’s Amber Rose drama,” the source said – and indeed, Kim went on to initiate a reconciliation with Rose herself, and a source told PEOPLE at the time it was because “Kim is a mom and wants to be a role model. She doesn’t want to be involved in ridiculous drama.” (Shortly afterwards, the two rappers went on to settle their differences, too.)
As for how she feels about the long-simmering Swift tension – which erupted after West rapped that he “made that bitch famous” on a song on his new album, then taking to Twitter to defend his lyrics about the pop star – the source said Kim “doesn’t care about his song lyrics.”
Added the source: “The album is getting tons of attention now, and this was the plan.”
And ultimately, “their marriage seems fine,” explains the source.
“Kanye has been very busy, and Kim is very understanding. Kanye is great when he is around.”

“I Was Bored To Tears” – Charly Boy comes for Julius Agwu’s ‘Life As I See It Concert’ In New Article

Charly Boy writes on the ‘Life As I See It Concert’ organized by ace comedian, Julius Agwu which held at the Transcorp Hilton Abuja on February 14, 2016. He titled it “Haba Julius, Where’s The Genius??!!
He has some very strong views about the show which he gave a thumbs down due to it’s lack of laughs and late start.
Read below:
Haba Julius, Where’s The Genius??!!
Julius Agwu is my friend and a brother, one of the many comedians I have encouraged in their careers through the years. When I lost my buddy, my father, he was there to give me all the moral support I needed.
I love Julius as much as some great Nigerian comedians, artistes and actors that have passed through the University of CharlyBoyism, who are now doing pretty well in their respective fields.
I was at my guy’s LIFE AS I SEE IT show with my family at the Transcorp Hilton Abuja on February 14, 2016.
Mehnnnn, was I bored to tears!!!
First of all, the show that was billed to start at 4pm didn’t start till around 8.30pm, and wouldn’t you expect that such a show already starting so late would compensate the audience by blowing off the roof with powerful rib-crackers back to back? For where!
I wasn’t sure whether we were at a musical/comedy show or in a pentecostal revival ground.
We had trickles of respite when other artistes did their thing but each time Julius came up, it was like he was on a mission to convert us sinners in the hall. He kept preaching, oblivious of many people’s disapproval, boredom and disgust for turning a comedy show into a sermonized gospel rant and chant. Kai!
I understand what my brother must have gone through when he had to be flown abroad for his brain surgery. As he told me before the show started, “Charly, I almost died, I was actually being wheeled to the mortuary before God’s intervention”.
I am sure all that incident must have been very traumatic for my dear friend who felt he had to give thanks to the Lord for keeping him alive. Yes o, I agree, we all need to constantly do that because without God’s grace and mercy, who for dey alive? So praise The Lord…Halleluyah!!!!
However, the fact remains that people came there for the sole purpose of laughter, not to be preached at, after-all, the Christians in the building would have gone to Church earlier that day, being a Sunday. Abi?
We had people of different religions, denominations: Muslims, Crossbearers, Bhuddists, even Atheists in the hall that night, who didn’t come to worship but to be entertained.
As I peered into some people’s faces, I could read their strong objection and disdain about how the night was turning out.
Julius should have been sensitive, biko.
There were a few high points of the show though, when the likes of Bovi and Akpororo took control of the microphone. They were good! Very good.
My dear brother, it is good to have a grateful heart when the Lord delivers one from the jaws of death, but a comedy show is not a revival and the people in the hall can’t all be Christians.
There are many people also that the Lord has saved, giving thanks therefore, should be a personal thing with your Maker; don’t get it twisted with comedy.
I felt ripped off.
God has also saved people like us and we are grateful for what He has done in our lives, but we don’t go round terrorising people with Bible verses and the word of God.
And just in case you want to start your own church, all well and good for you but biko, don’t do it on the heels of people who have paid their hard earned money to watch a comedy show, either alone or with family and friends.
My brother, I no yab you o, I just advice you as my person. Next time let the comical genius in you come out not the preacher.

The 10 Most Idiotic Decisions The Grammys Ever Made
The 10 Most Idiotic Decisions The Grammys Ever Made
The 58th Annual Grammy Awards will be held at the Staples Center on Monday, February 15, but if you’re anything like us, you won’t be watching. Although the Grammy’s are perhaps the preeminent award in American music and recording arts, throughout their six decades of existence, they have made unquestionably the consistently worst decisions of any major award show. From their very inception, the Grammys felt dated and out of touch, giving awards to Frank Sinatra in favor of the Beatles, who weren’t even recognized as Best “New” Artists until the year they released their sixth album.
Not every Grammy decision has been terrible. Artists still desperately strive for validation within the industry, and millions will watch the ceremony with wishful eyes, hoping the best for their favorite artists. We wouldn’t hold out breath, though, considering the past atrocious decisions made by the Grammys. Regardless of category, genre or era, the Grammys always managed to get obvious musical genius wrong, rewarding complacency over creativity with great consistency. If a young artist out there wins a Grammy on Monday and it just makes all their dreams come true, then we say, “Congrats, Taylor.” But to prevent any artist from having their dream shattered when they lose, check out these examples that prove just how clueless the Grammys have always been.
10. The First Rapper To Win A Grammy Was Will Smith
No one hates on Big Willie Style, but it seems downright inappropriate the first rapper to win a Grammy was The Fresh Prince. It’s not surprising it took the Grammys a few years to recognize rap, first doing so in 1989 with the award for Best Rap Performance. Celebrating a year that featured landmark hip-hop releases by artists such as N.W.A, Public Enemy, Big Daddy Kane, LL Cool J and KRS-One, of the bunch, only future Grammy host LL was even nominated. Unfortunately for Cool James, not even the fire of “Goin’ Back to Cali” could win the Grammys over, as they were distracted listening to the Fresh Prince rap about how “Parents Just Don’t Understand.”
No disrespect to the Prince or his DJ Jazzy Jeff. The song itself is lightweight fun, but to call it the best the rap world had to offer was an insult. When the Grammys would finally add an award for the Best Rap Album of the Year, they would show similar lack of insight into the hip-hop community, awarding Naughty By Nature in favor of 2pac. Frankly, though, not even that is bad as what happened to Best Rap Performance in 1990: “Bust A Move” won, defeating “Fight the Power.”

Olajumoke Is A Lifetime Project – Sujimoto Company

After initially refusing to comment, CEO of Luxury Real Estate Company, Sujimoto Construction Company, Sijibomi Ogundele, has finally decided to clear the air on his magnanimity to Olajumoke.
What stirred your interest in Olajumoke the Bread Seller?
The Olajumoke story could be any Lagosian’s story. Lagos has a population of about 21 million people. Only 15-20% of these people are the actual indigenes of Lagos.
The remaining majority left their comfort zones to come look for opportunities in Lagos. My mother came to Lagos when she was just like Olajumoke, selling Bread and Bournvita.

She realised that there was more profit in Bournvita than in Bread. So, she quickly focused on Bournvita and that little business expanded, transforming her into a Distributor for Cadbury and one of the top five Distributors for Nestle.
About 16 million people living in Lagos today can relate to Olajumoke’s story, because they are people who left their cities to look for that great opportunity Lagos has for us.
Can you tell us about the luxury accommodation you gave her?
It is very important for people not to misinterpret our true intentions. We did not buy Olajumoke an apartment. We have paid for rent for a few years.
We are in the process of furnishing it tastefully. Someone might say after furnishing it, what next? What if she cannot renew her rent? Should in three or four years the rent expire and God forbid she has no capacity to renew her rent, are we going to leave her? Of course not, we have an obligation to extend it until she finds her feet.
The Olajumoke story is a lifetime project for us at Sujimoto. It is our intention to help her discover her true potential and translate them into success.
It is our intention to give educational scholarships to her children. We will also help empower her husband to find employment. But first, we will send him for proper training to enhance his existing skills, because an aluminum fabricator in Osun state may not have the same level of expertise as the one in Lagos.
We are not going to let Olajumoke be a celebrity just in the news. She will be an empowered Celebrity. All this promises we shall achieve before the end of 2016.

What can Nigerians do for Olajumoke?
As a nation, it is our dreams that unite us and it is its opportunities that empower us. The patriotic spirit telling us we are our brothers’ keepers, is what makes this nation the greatest in Africa.
If a man is in Borno state cannot afford food, that matters to me, even if he is not my biological brother. If a lady in Enugu finds it difficult to pay for her daughter’s school fees.
It pains me because her daughter might as well be my sister. If there is a bread hawker from Osun who has no education or accommodation but has hope that the great city of Lagos can give her the opportunity to achieve her dreams, why should I not want to be the first to provide these basic needs for her?
I can’t solve all of her problems, but I will do my bit and hope society takes it up from there.
The Thomases and the Pessimists: What’s your opinion?
We need to get rid of the Thomases among us who only see the bad in every situation. In today’s world with all the need for prayer in this nation, there is no room for pessimism.
The only way this nation can move forward is to start being optimistic and have faith in the unknown; to have courage in the existing and show appreciation to the few, instead of condemnation.
People are more attracted to unrewarding conversations. What did you give her? What did you do for her? Where did you send her? It is important for us as a nation to start appreciating the good done by a few people who care enough to do them.
An average Nigerian is a giver, that is why people give so much to churches and other religious organisations.
I want to believe that the greatness of this nation derives from its peoples’ ability to be appreciative of the very little things or the kind gestures of the good Samaritans.
