Man Dies On Board Aer Lingus Flight After Biting Another Passenger.
A man passed away on board an Aer Lingus flight last night after he reportedly started biting another passenger and became unwell after being restrained.
Irish Mirror reports that, flight EI 485 was travelling from Lisbon in Portugal to Dublin in Ireland when it was forced to divert and make an emergency landing in Cork.
Reports claim the man, believed to be 24 years old, began “biting another passenger” and was later restrained by crew after becoming “extremely violent”.
It is understood the man later became unwell after being restrained and fell into a state of unconsciousness, before being pronounced dead on the flight.

The pilot informed controllers of the situation on board and requested clearance to divert and land at the airport after the man started to become “extremely violent”.
He told controllers that there was a passenger “running amok” and that he had “injured one or two passengers”.
It is also understood there was a doctor on board who tried to assist the restrained passenger. While nearing Cork airport, the crew informed controllers there was a doctor on board treating “a gentleman”, but said the man in question no longer had a pulse.
All 168 passengers and six crew members were moved off the plane and into the airport. It is also understood a second man was injured during a biting incident, as he tried to help the deceased.
The injured man was taken to hospital following the emergency landing.

Army Gang Rape Woman In Front Of Her Boyfriend | Forces Her To Watch Them Drown Him In SA
A woman was reportedly raped in South Africa in front of her horrified boyfriend by an armed gang who then tied him up and threw him into a lake where he drowned.
Another couple with them were also attacked and the man bound and drowned in the lake alongside his friend.
The friends were taking a walk in Rhodes Park, Kensington, near Johannesburg, South Africa , around 9pm local time on Saturday when they were attacked by the all-male gang.
One of the women managed to escape, but the other was captured and raped by a gang member in front of her tied-up boyfriend, according to South African media reports .
After the sickening ordeal, the men, aged 25 and 32, were thrown into the dam at the park and drowned. One of the attackers is said to have been carrying a knife, while another had a firearm.
South Africa Police Service spokesperson Lungelo Dlamini said the bodies of the two drowned men were recovered by police divers in the early hours of Sunday morning.
Intelligence Bureau, a network of private detectives who attended the scene, said the women were both forced to watch their partners drown, but police have not confirmed the report.
Cleveland Police spokesperson Constable Mpho Mashakane said:
“Two men, accompanied by their girlfriends, were walking at the park at about 6.30pm yesterday when they were approached by the group of men.
“One of the suspects raped one female victim. The bodies of the two male victims, aged 25 and 32, were later found by police divers,”

“Go And Die If You’re Not Happy With My Appointments” – El-Rufai Tells Critics.
On Friday, 16th of October, 2015, Governor,Malam Nasir El-Rufai went into an outburst over those criticising his appointments in the state as lopsided.
He was criticised for appointing close friends, family members and non-indigenes in key positions in the state.
According to Vanguard, while answering questions from stakeholders at the 4th town hall meeting with Kaduna Central, he said he could not give appointment to persons that did not vote for him during the last governorship election, adding that anyone that was unhappy about it could go commit suicide.
He said:
If you are not happy with appointments made, you can go and climb Kufena mountain, fall and die.
“It was what you voted that you got, because we are aware that there are people who did not vote for us, in fact they worked against us.“But now they claim to be APC members and loyal to the party. We know such people. And so there is no way they would expect anything from us.
Earlier, Governor El-Rufai also unveiled new logo for the state saying henceforth the state will now use its own court of arms.

70 Year Old Certified Dead Man Wakes Up In Benue Mortuary 30 Hours Later.
A 70 year old Amos Otene came back to life after he was certified dead by medical practitioners and made to spend over 30 hours in a mortuary in Makurdi, Benue State.
According to a report, doctors, at a private hospital in the town had, on Wednesday, August 26, 2015, certified Otene dead at 4.30 a.m. and wheeled him into the mortuary, awaiting instructions from members of the family for embalming.
The report stated that, but for the visit by the son of the ‘deceased’ to confirm the news, the Otene family would have been preparing to inter the agriculturalist who retired from Benue State civil service three years ago.
The old man had toothache and was rushed to the private clinic, on Tuesday, August 25.
A day later, he was certified dead and the doctors whose names were not mentioned in the report could have immediately ordered his embalming, but there was no family member to give the go-ahead. So they wheeled him to the morgue.
30 hours thereafter, Eche Otene, the son of the ‘deceased’, who lives in Lafia, Nasarawa State, came visiting and the hospital was thrown into confusion when the father raised his hand to acknowledge the presence of his son and followed that gesture by sitting up on the mortuary trolley.
The question now is: Was the man sentenced to death by an inexperienced medical team or he actually died but was brought back to life by God?
To the science-inclined minds, Pa Otene could not have died in the first place and the question of resurrection was out of the question. The only explanation, according to a Makurdi-based medical practitioner, Dr. Ameh Edace, is that the retiree could only have been “in a long coma”.
The Medical Director of Rekiya Memorial Hospital, Kaduna, Dr. Bello Mohammed, said that
“in the history of medicine, there has not been any case of anybody coming back to life after being certified dead.” He added: “If a person is pronounced clinically dead, he remains dead and there is no way he can come back to life, certainly not after 24 hours. On this case in question, the only medical explanation is that the patient was in a long coma.”
To this school of thought therefore, if doctors had certified Pa Otene dead, then the competence of such doctors should be called to question. In other words, something must be amiss with the death certification.

Pope Francis To Pay Visit To Kenya, Congo And Uganda | Shuns Nigeria.
It’s being reported to us newly that Father of the Catholic masses, Pope Francis will not be visiting the country, but will meet slum dwellers and refugees and call for dialogue between Christians and Muslims when he visits Kenya, Uganda and Central African Republic next month, this is according to the Vatican.
In his first trip to Africa, the pope will reportedly spend about two days in each country and visit only the capitals. In Nairobi, he will visit Kangemi, a slum that is home to 650,000 people.
He will also hold an inter-religious meeting and say a Mass at a university in the capital.

The Kenya stop had been in doubt in the initial planning of the November 25-30 trip. In Uganda, Francis is scheduled to visit a home for the disabled in Nalukolongo, a suburb of the capital Kampala.

Married Man Poisons Pregnant Girlfriend | Buries Her In Shallow Grave. (Photo)
A 39 year old Chamberlin Ojoko, has been apprehended after he allegedly gave his pregnant girlfriend, Chinonye Ella, 25, a local abortion concoction.
The concoction caused fatal adverse reaction which resulted to her death, on the 20th of July, 2015. Ojoko was alleged to have calmly gone home to borrow a shovel from his brother, Pastor Sopuruchi and buried the corpse of the deceased girlfriend in a shallow grave, which he dug at the back of an uncompleted building owned by one Dr Maduakolam Ukaegbu, a kinsman.
The Imo State Commissioner of Police, Mr. Taiwo Lakanu, revealed that the chain of events that ultimately led to the untimely death of Chinonye began the day she boarded the same bus with Ojoko in December 2014, at Achingali, in Obowo Local Government Area, Imo State.
They chatted along the way as the trip progressed and then exchanged phone numbers. While Chinonye lived in Umuahia, Ojoko on his part resided in Port Harcourt. Over the intervening period, Ojoko regularly invited her to Owerri, where they would lodge in a hotel and have fun.
After each visit, he would give her N3,000 to N4,000 to cover her transportation costs. This continued until Chinonye informed him that she had become pregnant.
Apparently, the news that she had conceived was not well received by Ojoko, who set about sourcing for a local concoction, probably after convincing her on the need to abort the innocent unborn child.
Lakanu explained further that on July 20, 2015, the suspect took Chinonye to an uncompleted building at Ezeakam Eziudo, his community, where he gave her the local abortion concoction. Within hours, her condition became critical as intense pain wracked her body, particularly around the stomach.
According to Sunday Sun, at the headquarters of the Imo State Police Command, where he is being held in custody while investigations continue, Ojoko recounted what happened that fateful night he gave his girlfriend the abortion concoction.
He said:
“On July 20, 2015, I took my girlfriend to an uncompleted building around 6:30pm. My girlfriend took the herbal medicine, but later she started writhing in pain. Then she died. I ran to my house and took a shovel; I carried her body to the side of the building. I dug the ground and buried her in a shallow grave.”
Believing in his heart that he had covered his deed like Cain, who killed his brother Abel, Ojoko returned to Port Harcourt, to the warm embrace of his unsuspecting and pregnant wife. But unknown to him, a certain little girl had seen him carry out the dead body of Chinonye, and dump it in the grave he dug.
The little girl later told the owner of the building about the horrific crime she saw. After the shock of the revelation wore off, Dr. Ukaegbu ran to the Ezinihitte police station to report what he was told by the girl.
The police station contacted the Head of the Homicide Unit at the Imo State headquarters in Owerri, Supol Innocent Obi, who led his men, Pastor Sopuruchi Ojoko (brother of the suspect) and Dr. Ukaegbu, to Port Harcourt, where Chamberlain Ojoko was arrested.
Giving further insight to the incident, brother of the suspect, Pastor Sopuruchi Ojoko, told Sunday Sun:
“I saw my brother Chamberlin Ojoko and his girlfriend on that day around 3.00pm. They didn’t enter our house in the compound; instead they walked toward Eziudo road. About 9:00pm, I saw that my elder brother, Chamberlin, returned to the house without the girl.
“He requested for shovel and took it to the bush. He didn’t return till 11:00pm. I asked him where he was coming from at that late hour; he said he went to the toilet. I asked him, why he came to the village without informing us.
He replied that he was working at the building site. I saw bruises and wounds on his hand. When information got to us that my elder brother murdered his girlfriend, I had to take the policemen to Port-Harcourt to arrest him.”
On August 15, 2015, the body of the deceased girlfriend was exhumed and autopsy conducted. The policemen discovered how he used the deceased girlfriend’s cloth to choke her.
There were stains of the victim’s blood at the uncompleted building. The police also learnt that the suspect threw away the handset of the deceased girlfriend.
As it stands now, Lakanu said the Command is concerned to locate the relations of the deceased given that her handset which could have offered assistance in this regard was thrown away by the suspect.
“We want members of the public to assist us and provide information that would help us find the relations of the deceased. We learnt from the suspect that the deceased resided in Umuahia, Abia State, before her demise,” Lakanu pleaded.
Undergraduate Caught With 108 ATM Cards At MMIA. (Photo)
A 34 year old undergraduate had been reportedly apprehended after he tried to smuggle 108 ATM debit cards out of the country at the Muritala Muhammed Airport.
Udeh Onuora Pascal was arrested at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA), Ikeja, in the process of boarding a Qatar Airline flight to China.

58 of the ATM cards were issued by First City Monument Bank (FCMB), 23 belong to Stanbic IBC Bank while Zenith Bank has 19, Fidelity Bank 6 and Diamond Bank 2.
The suspect claimed to be a trader at the Onitsha main market and also a 300 level History and International Relations student at the Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka.
In his statement, he admitted that he is not the owner of the ATM cards and he was only asked to take them to China.
He said:
“I am not the owner of the cards. I was told to take them to China and that somebody will collect them from me when I get there.I never knew it would lead to my arrest.”
Chairman/Chief Executive of the NDLEA, Ahmadu Giade said:
“This is a suspected money laundering case involving cash transfer with debit cards. The EFCC will carry out further investigation on the case. We must continue to work together as a united force against criminal syndicates.”

Female Bomber Gunned Down After Trying Forcefully To Enter Barracks.
Soldiers of the 7 Division of the Nigerian Army in Maiduguri, Borno State, today gunned down a female suicide bomber trying to enter their barracks. The soldiers watched in horror as the bomb strapped on her body exploded.
Daily Trust reports that the suicide bomber described as a tall girl in red hijab approached the gate around 6:00 am, defying warnings by soldiers to stop and identify herself.
The report quoted a witness account of what transpired between the would-be-bomber and soldiers at the gate of the barracks:
“I was on duty at the gate when I heard my colleague, a soldier, saying to her, ‘do not be stupid, stop there and tell me who you are.’
The would-be-bomber responded:
‘You are stupid also. I will not stop.’ At that stage, I took cover in readiness for anything. I knew she must be on a rough mission but I was thinking they were many.
“That soldier warned her again that he would shoot if she refused to stop. The conversation was in Hausa. Meanwhile, she was still approaching us. Then she replied him; “shoot me, I know I will die just once.’ He fired at her once but he could not get her. Another soldier shot her on the leg and she fell. Even while on ground, she was still crawling toward us.
“That was the singular action that proved to us that this was a hardened bomber. We ran back for safety. From the far distance, another soldier opened fire on her and the bomb strapped to her body went off. We combed everywhere in case they were many but no other person was seen. No soldier sustained injury,”
AFP, who also told the story said:
The woman approached the barracks around 7:00 am and headed towards the gates.Military guards at the gates shouted at her to stop for security checks but she ignored them and continued walking towards the gates. She continued walking with her handbag slung on her shoulder, despite repeated shouts from the soldiers asking her stop.
“One of the soldiers opened fire on the woman and the handbag exploded, blowing the woman to pieces.”

Man Found Guilty Of Wife’s Murder Kills Self In Courtroom. (Photo)
A man who was before time sentenced to prison over the death of his wife, reportedly killed himself in the court where he was being sentenced.
Mark had been married to local fifth-grade teacher Anne, 52, for 32 years. They both lived in Virginia, and had three grown-up children.
As the years rolled by, Mark had become increasingly controlling over his wife. Anne felt trapped in the marriage and was looking for a way out. UK Mirror tells the story.
Before her death, Anne, 52, had reconnected with a high-school sweetheart online and rekindled their romance. Chris Crowley lived in California, but they messaged constantly and Anne was planning to end things with her husband to be with him.
Unfortunately, Mark knew about her plans. He’d grown suspicious and started to follow her everywhere. He didn’t want his wife to leave him.
On March 7, 2000, her online flame, Chris, called the police in a panic to say he hadn’t heard from Anne and he was worried. She’d told Chris she was going to tell Mark their marriage was over. So where was she?
Not long afterwards, at around 1pm, Mark ran to a neighbour’s house shouting for help. He said he’d come home and found Anne’s lifeless body – he thought she’d choked on some food so he’d performed the Heimlich manoeuvre.
Frantic neighbours Robert and Melissa Frederick raced over and found Anne’s body on the floor. She was cold to the touch, but Mark was sitting on her chest and slapping her face in an attempt to revive her. When Robert tried to help, Mark refused to step away.
Even when paramedics arrived, Mark was huddled around Anne, restricting their access. But they determined there was nothing they could do and Anne was pronounced dead.
After her death, police discovered Anne’s diary at her home,
“I am in love for the first time in 33 years,” it read. “I feel compelled to check my mail… I am having the time of my life.”
But an autopsy said Anne had choked on food – probably a piece of chicken because some was found in her stomach. Her death was deemed accidental.
Straight away, relations between Mark and his children grew strained.
The years went by and Mark remarried. His children filed a wrongful death lawsuit against their dad, alleging that he drugged, beat and choked Anne, then stood by as she died. It was dismissed, but Mark agreed on a settlement without admitting any guilt.
It took 12 years before the case was reopened and a new autopsy was ordered – done through a re-examination of the paperwork, pictures and evidence.
This time, a medical examiner said Anne had been suffocated in a homicidal manner. There was significant bruising to her arms, pelvic area, head, face and chest, as well as lacerations on her face.
In 2013, Mark was charged with murder. At the trial this year at Montgomery County Courthouse, Mark, now 70, confirmed that he knew Anne was planning to leave him and that she was sleeping in the spare room. His daughters testified against him.
Mark was found guilty of voluntary manslaughter and Anne’s family sobbed with relief. But there was a final twist. As Mark was led away, court officials were heard yelling, “Drop it, drop it.” Suddenly, the courtroom was evacuated.
After a few hours, it was revealed that Mark Faville had died from a self-inflicted wound. It was never disclosed just how Mark killed himself – to protect court security and so others couldn’t follow his example.

“I Never Assaulted Yvonne Nelson…I Only Called Her Stupid” – Nigerian Man
Recall we posted a story about how a Nigerian man – Elvis Eze reportedly assaulted Ghanaian Actress – Yvonne Nelson all because she refused him a hug. (Read Here)
Apparently, the said man who was reported to be allegedly on the run has denied claims he physically assaulted the actress.
Eze has revealed that contrary to the accusations peddled all over digital and social media, he never at any time physically assaulted Nelson; instead, he merely questioned the sultry actress over her negative attitude towards him after she snubbed him at the party.
It was widely reported on online entertainment news platforms, blogs, and the social media that Eze had purportedly assaulted Nelson physically over her refusal to shake his hands and hug him after he had been introduced to Nelson by Alabi during Alabi’s birthday celebrations on September 26 in Accra, Ghana.
Narrating his own side of the happenings that occurred on that fateful day to our correspondent, the Ghanaian-based Nigerian socialite said he was very disappointed that the actress could act so disrespectfully to him considering that he approached her courteously.
In his words, “Ingrid Alabi invited me to her birthday party on Saturday, September 26, 2015. Upon getting to the party venue, I saw Yvonne Nelson at the event. After the party, I went inside Ingrid’s sitting room, where she hosted her exclusive guests to inform her that I was leaving. During that period, Yvonne Nelson taking pictures with the celebrant and one other actress. Ingrid then asked me to join them to take pictures together which we did.
“After taking the pictures, Ingrid introduced me to Yvonne Nelson as her brother and Yvonne to me as a friend.
When the introduction was over, I wanted to have a handshake with Yvonne. She blatantly refused and she was rude to me, saying she doesn’t shake or hug people that she’s not familiar with and I walked out.”
Eze who disclosed that he was a huge fan of the actress prior to the incident said he approached Nelson when he spotted her sitting in her car on his way out of Alabi’s house.
Although, he admitted that there were verbal exchange of words between him and Nelson, he never for once threatened to raise a finger not to talk of physically fighting her.
“On my way out, I saw her sitting in her car and I walked up to her and told her that ‘Yvonne what you did in there is not called for because I’m a big fan of yours and I watch your movies, I follow your movies and I was opportune to see you for the first time after someone introduced me to you, I was just trying to say Hi and you were rude to me”.
She just exploded and said “I should shift and get out from her front that she doesn’t want to talk to me’ after which we began to exchange words, I told her that ‘you stupid or sick in the head.’ That was it and she started insulting me and of Nigerians saying that ‘Nigerians are useless, mad, crazy and stupid.”
So I walked away from there and I went home,” he said.
Eze disclosed that he was surprised when he heard that the case had degenerated badly to the extent that the issue propped up on networking site, Facebook, where he was accused of molesting Nelson.
He further said he was alarmed when he was told that his image was shown on TV stations and newspapers across Ghana and he had been reported to the Accra airport police.
According to Eze:
“Two days after the event, I saw a post on Facebook saying that Yvonne Nelson had been assaulted by a Nigerian man named Elvis Eze also known as Elvis Casino. I was so baffled seeing this so I immediately called Ingrid.
She (Ingrid) told me that Yvonne brought policemen to her house at about 3am, saying that Ingrid must take her to Elvis house to get him arrested for assaulting her.
This is what I was told by Ingrid. Later on, I started receiving numerous calls from my friends and associates, telling me that my face is on T.V. and on newspapers alleging that I assaulted Yvonne and that a case had been lodged at the at airport police station in Accra by Yvonne regarding the incident.”
Insisting that he was innocent of the accusations, Eze remarked; “I never assaulted her, I didn’t touch her or beat her, I did not molest her and I left there without anybody harassing me or chased me out because I did not touch her. Even Ingrid Alabi was there and she can bear me witness and other people there can also bear witness to this. A lot of people were there, actors and actresses that were there can bear me witness.”
Terribly pained about the incident, Eze said he was disappointed about how Nelson had handled the entire issue, saying he never expected the actress to have taken the issue to the public glare and defame his personality.
“I just saw her for the first time and I am one of her greatest fans, and I love her movies. I was surprised when I saw her at Ingrid’s party. So when I was introduced to Yvonne, I was so happy that I had met her finally. I was so surprised and disappointed how she was rude to me because I didn’t know the way she act is different from the way she behaves in real life. That is my own side of the story. It was just a normal misunderstanding, I was even surprised to see that things will get this far,” he concluded.
