Veteran Nollywood Actress turned Pastor, Mrs. Obot Etuk has advised individuals to be careful not to minimize their parents’ contributions anytime they get the chance to make a victory speech.

In a post shared on her Instagram page, Ms. Etuk said that individuals should never take advantage of the chance to praise the sacrifices made by their parents by minimizing their efforts and claiming they started from nothing.

She wrote;

“In your victory speech ladies and gentlemen, never embarrass the effort of your parents by saying you came from nothing. Whatever you had then was what they could afford. And they gave it to you with love.
Make them feel better by praising them.
Remember, we reap what we sow.”

A while back, Mrs. Obot Etuk advised all young ladies out there to desist from pre-marital sex.

In a post she made on her Facebook wall, she declared that sex cannot be used to prove love. Adding that even animals have sex, but then it doesn’t mean they are in love.

if he is insisting on sex before marriage, he is not the man for you. You cannot use sex to prove love. Goats have sex. Infact, dogs have sex and everywhere too but they are not in love.

Bolanle Olukanni criticizes Police PRO Benjamin Hundeyin for his choice of words while reacting to the fatal shooting of Bolanle Raheem by a police officer.

Popular media personality and actress, Bolanle Olukanni has called out the Lagos State Police PRO, Benjamin Hundeyin, for his choice of words while reacting to the shooting of pregnant Bolanle Raheem by a police officer.

The pregnant Bolanle Raheem was shot and killed by a policeman in front of her family on Christmas Day.

PRO, Benjamin Hundeyin had reacted to the fatal shooting on the microblogging platform, Twitter as an “unfortunate and avoidable incident”.

He wrote;

“Unfortunate and avoidable incident that was. The ASP that shot and two others with him have since been taken into custody. They are to be moved to the SCID for further investigation.”

His choice of words did not sit well with Bolanle who said “unfortunate” and “avoidable” were words used when reacting to something minor, like missing an appointment, not when an innocent mother is killed by a police officer in the presence of her husband and child.

She said Hundeyin’s choice of words showed how indifferent authorities were to what was actually happening.

Taking to her official Instagram page to express her annoyance at the level of nonchalance, she shared a video calling out Benjamin.

She wrote;

“THE NIGERIAN POLICE FORCE: We have asked ourselves many times how can this change ? Where does the change begin – the leadership of the Nigerian Police have to care . They have to show their officers that the impunity is enough -these killings cannot continue to happen . The day after the Bolanle Raheem’s murder – I still police officers on the road doing stop and search. A car in front of me gave the police officer 1k- the police officer was so excited , smiling and laughing. So if that was a armed robber or kidnapper that’s all it takes to by pass them ?? Because the police keep justifying the check points as a way to keep the streets safe??? But apparently small change and no questions asked. Bolanle Raheems tragedy could be anyone of us. Our leaders – politicians: I just want to say that this could have been anyone of your children, your relatives , your family members. Please use your power to do something good. Man who fell ill after tattooing Bobrisky on his arm is dead

Bobrisky’s ailing fan, Lord Casted, who claimed to have contracted HIV after he tattooed the crossdresser on his arm, has died.

Lord Casted, who went viral in 2021 after he inked Bobrisky’s tattoo on his body, had cried out a few months ago that he had contracted HIV from the machine that was used to draw the tattoo on his body.

In a video he shared online at the time, begging Bobrisky and well-meaning Nigerians for financial support for his medical treatment, Lord Casted appeared pale and weak.

However, in a sad development, Lord Casted has now succumbed to the illness and passed on.

A post on his Instagram page announcing his demise revealed he died on December 24, 2022.

His mother also confirmed his demise in a conversation with local news media.

Meanwhile, Bobrisky, had slammed Lord Casted over claims of contracting HIV after inking a tattoo of his face on his body.

Bobrisky told him to stop lying about contracting the ailment as a result of the tattoo.

Bobrisky suggested that Lord Casted contracted HIV from having unprotected sexual relations with the opposite gender, contradicting the fan’s claim of getting it from the machine used to draw tattoos on his body.

A Nigerian woman has taken to social media to show off her housemaid’s transformation one year after she moved into her house to work as a help.

The woman, identified as @MrsSenator on TikTok, posted a video compilation of her housemaid’s before and after photos showing her physical changes.

The housemaid, who looked slender when she was newly employed by the woman, looked unrecognizable as she had evidently added weight and wore better-looking clothes after staying with her.

The video has stirred sweet reactions on social media as netizens applauded the woman for treating her househelp well.

An Instagram user with handle @ivysparkles123 wrote, “Some of these housemaids are actually fine na condition from their papa house bend them. Mine transformed like this in 1 year too. The dad kept thanking me”

However, some netizens berated the woman for employing an underage girl as a maid.

@joyaustin4743 wrote, “This is still nonsense. Why use her as a maid? She is a child. This is child labour. Why not show her off as an adopted daughter of yours. This is toxic and disgusting. These women that use children as maids should be clamped down by the government.”

In other news, Big Brother Naija season 4 winner, Mercy Eke, has opined that relationships produced from the reality TV show are a big scam.

She stated this in an interview with media personality, Chude Jideonwo, while revisiting her failed relationship with her co-star, Ike Onyema.

Recall that the couple, who met during the BBNaija 2019 edition, started dating on the show and continued till the show ended.

They even had a reality TV show called “Mercy & Eke” where they documented their love life and marriage plans. Sadly, their relationship hit the rocks in 2020.

Speaking in the recent interview, Mercy Eke said she stayed with Ike because of the money involved otherwise she would have dumped him.

According to Mercy, she genuinely liked Ike at first but at some point, their relationship became performative and was majorly for the camera.

Nollywood actress, Rita Dominic, has replied to a lady who accused her of snatching her husband, Fidelis Anosike, from his ex-wife.

A lady had taken to Twitter to accuse the veteran thespian who recently tied the knot with her beau, Fidelis, of dating him while he was still married.

The Twitter user also called out other Nollywood actresses, Rosy Meurer, Judy Austin, and Mercy Johnson, and accused them of snatching people’s husbands and wrecking their husbands’ first marriages.

“I hit her with a pestle” – Suspect recounts how he murdered his Abuja-based girlfriend whom he met on Facebook two years ago (video)

A 31-year-old man, identified as Edeh Tochukwu, has been arrested for the murder of his girlfriend, Ijeoma Felix, 48, in Abuja on October 24, 2022.

Edeh was nabbed by operatives of the Police Intelligence Response Team (IRT) after he was found culpable for the death of his lover.

While being paraded before journalists on Tuesday, December 27, Edeh recounted how he met Ijeoma on Facebook two years ago, and how their relationship blossomed to the point where he moved into her two-bedroom apartment in Lugbe, FCT.

Suspect recounts

He said their relationship started going downhill when she started questioning his movement.

“Whenever anyone calls me on the phone, she was always angry. I couldn’t express myself. I can’t stay on the phone for more than five minutes. She will pick offence. She will insult me”

Recalling what happened on October 24, Edeh said he had an altercation with the deceased over a Highlander car she gave to him, which he had sold without her knowledge, and the fight turned violent.

“When I came around, the argument started all over again about the car. It was at this point that she raised her voice. She started insulting and everything. She went to the sitting room, dropped her home theater on me which I still defended. She was back with the pestle the second time, it was really unintentional because I was angry and all that…I snatched it away from her and shoved her with it. When she was coming up, involuntarily I hit her with the pestle..That was when she fell down and started crying and saying why did I hit her”, he said.

Speaking further, he said after killing her with the pestle, he absconded with her Toyota Camry, phone and other belongings.

He said he was arrested on November 2, 2022, after changing the car documents of the Camry and selling it for N1.7 million.

The mother of Bolanle Raheem, a Lagos-based lawyer who was fatally shot by a police officer on Christmas Day, December 25, has expressed her sadness over the loss of her daughter.

The victim’s mother, while speaking with Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Abiodun Alabi, during a condolence visit to her house on Tuesday, said Bolanle was her only child and recounted how she struggled to send her to school.

Bolanle’s mother said she hawked oranges to ensure that her daughter studied law in university.

She also revealed that the deceased was expecting twins.

“I cannot see my ‘The Law’ again. People usually call her ‘The Law’. She was taken away from me. She was pregnant with twins. She died with her glory. She left a five-year-old daughter behind. And they took her away.

On Monday, my granddaughter came to me and said ‘Grandma Iju Ishaga, I saw you yesterday when you were crying; you were shouting; is it because of my mummy?’ And I said ‘yes’.

Then she came again and told me, ‘Pastor Jerry said what God cannot do does not exist; so, grandma, stop crying’. And she kissed me on the cheek. Just like that, she was taken away from me. Oluwagbenga (referring to the deceased’s husband), you won’t see your love. It is not easy. A child that I have been training since childhood. I suffered over her. I hawked oranges; there is nothing I did not do. God please fight for me. My only child.” She said.

A photo of the police officer who allegedly shot dead a female lawyer, Bolanle Raheem, in the Ajiwe area of Lagos State on Christmas Day, has been shared online.

Lawyer Inibehe Effiong shared the photo online and identified the officer as ASP Ayuba.

The trigger-happy Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) allegedly killed the lawyer in the Ajah area of the state on Christmas Day while driving with her family.

The police officer attached to the Ajah Police Station and his team were said to have tried to stop them. Eyewitnesses said the deceased was trying to make a U-turn under Ajah Bridge when the officer opened fire at her car. Sadly, the bullet hit the deceased and she was rushed to a hospital where she was pronounced dead.

Lagos Police Command spokesperson, Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed the incident and stated that the suspect is an Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP).

He added that the officer involved in the shooting and two others have been arrested.

“Unfortunate and avoidable incident that was. The ASP that shot and two others with him have since been taken into custody. They are to be moved to the SCID for further investigation,” Police spokesperson, Benjamin Hundeyin said.

Lead Pastor of Streams of Joy International, Pastor Jerry Eze, has revealed that his marriage of over a decade was not always rosy.

Pastor Jerry, who is the convener of the New Season Prophetic Prayers and Declarations (NSPPD), and his wife, Eno Jerry, have been married for 15 years and are blessed with two kids.

During a sermon in his church, he said marriage is not always a bed of roses, and proceeded to use his marriage as an example.

He narrated how his wife once angrily used her hand to fling breakable plates off the table, causing them to fall to the ground and break because she was upset over something he said.

He also recounted how she abandoned him in a store in London and went home, despite knowing he doesn’t know his way home.

He said he had to call a friend of his wife who then came to pick him from the store and took him home because his wife refused to pick him up, and told him to find his way home by himself.

Speaking further, the popular clergyman recalled how his wife used to tell him to “summarize” his prayers whenever they are praying together.

Pastor Jerry, however, stated that his wife has changed for the better, and can now pray for hours.

Nigerian lawyer, Bolanle Raheem, shot dead by a police officer on Christmas day

A Nigerian lawyer, Bolanle Raheem, has unfortunately been shot and killed by a policeman attached to the Ajah Police State in Lagos on Christmas day, December 25.

The deceased and her family were coming from a restaurant in their car around 11am when the policeman tried to stop them.

Eyewitnesses said the deceased was trying to make a U-turn under Ajah Bridge when the officer opened fire at her car. Sadly, the bullet hit the deceased and she was rushed to a hospital where she was pronounced dead.

A colleague of the deceased, identified as KC Uzoka, took to Twitter to call the attention of the Nigerian police to the tragic incident.

He tweeted:

“One of your officers attached to Ajiwe police Division Ajah, shot at point blank & murdered a lawyer colleague of mine today. This is one too many similar incidents with police officers in Ajiwe. Now a family has lost a dear one on Christmas day.”

Reacting, the Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed the incident adding that the officer involved in the shooting has been arrested.

“Unfortunate and avoidable incident that was. The ASP that shot and two others with him have since been taken into custody. They are to be moved to the SCID for further investigation,” he responded.

Popular clergyman and movie producer, Mike Bamiloye, has claimed that fallen angels have taken over social media.

In a post shared via his Instagram page, the drama-evangelist said their ploy is to corrupt the minds of social media users, and many men and women are already possessed by evil spirits.

According to him, one can easily discern these fallen angels by the posts they share on their social media accounts.

He wrote,

“Fallen angels have taken over social media. Using the platform to corrupt the mind of human.
A lot of ladies and men are now possessed by evil spirit. By their social media posts and images, you shall know them.”

A while back, Mike Bamiloye took to social media to address people who enter into marriage with preparations to leave once something goes wrong.

The movie producer told such people not to expect their marriages to last because they have ‘successfully’ prepared for failure.

Taking to his Instagram page on Sunday afternoon, November 20, Mike Bamiloye said,

“If you are approaching the altar of marriage with the preparation to jet out whenever anything goes wrong, then, don’t expect to last long in it. You have prepared for failure.”

Nollywood actress and producer, Judy Austin-Edochie, has taken to social media to share beautiful new photos with her son, Star, to celebrate Christmas.

Judy, whose marriage to popular actor, Yul Edochie, was made public in April 2022 and was met with massive criticisms, posted photos with their son on her official Instagram page on Monday, December 26, and wished her fans and followers a merry Christmas.

She captioned the photos,

“Merry Christmas my darlings..

A while back, Judy Austin-Edochie, has reiterated her position as the second wife of her husband, popular actor Yul Edochie.

The thespian took to her Instagram page to share a video of herself driving and singing along to Beyonce’s hit single, “Brown Skin Girl”, with a rather suggestive caption considering the fact that it’s coming days after her husband publicly apologized to his first wife, May, for marrying her (Judy).

Recall that the father of five, in a lengthy Instagram post, admitted that his marriage to Judy had deeply hurt May.

He noted that he agrees with her that polygamy shouldn’t be forced on anyone while noting that his marriage to Judy was “unplanned.”

Big Brother Naija season 4 winner, Mercy Eke, has opined that relationships produced from the reality TV show are a big scam.

She stated this in an interview with media personality, Chude Jideonwo, while revisiting her failed relationship with her co-star, Ike Onyema.

Recall that the couple, who met during the BBNaija 2019 edition, started dating on the show and continued till the show ended.

Mercy Eke spills

They even had a reality TV show called “Mercy & Eke” where they documented their love life and marriage plans. Sadly, their relationship hit the rocks in 2020.

Speaking in the recent interview, Mercy Eke said she stayed with Ike because of the money involved otherwise she would have dumped him.

According to Mercy, she genuinely liked Ike at first but at some point, their relationship became performative and was majorly for the camera.

She said if she knew that she was a strong housemate during the show, she wouldn’t have dated Ike because their relationship was not working.

“BBNaija relationships are the biggest scam, it was even original for me initially, as a matter of fact, if I had known that I was a strong housemate and that people loved me for me, I wouldn’t have bothered getting involved with him.

I wouldn’t say it was a strategy, for me, we flowed with it but we had to put up a show even when not happy for people who aren’t even in relationships. If it is not working out, you move but in my case I couldn’t, I had to be there cos of money, otherwise, I won’t have my complete money.”

Popular Nollywood actor, Yul Edochie, has reacted to a photoshopped Christmas photo of his family.

You will recall that the actor, who recently declared himself a proud polygamist, was conspicuously absent from the family photos shared by his first wife, May, on Christmas day.

The photos that May shared on her Instagram page showed the mother of four, who has repeatedly insisted that she not be numbered as a wife, and her children in matching outfits.

Yul’s absence from the family portrait sparked a barrage of reactions from social media users.

He, however, later reposted the photos on his page and captioned it,<em> “Merry Christmas. From my family to you and yours. May the season bring us all uncountable blessings.”

Nollywood actress, Sarah Martins, then took it a step further and added Yul, his second wife, and their son, Star Dike to the photo.

“Beautiful Family…😍 As it should be 👌❤️”, Sarah wrote.

Reacting to the photo, Edochie wrote, “🤣🤣🤣Yes oo Sarah. As it should be. Beautiful family. Blessed man with blessed family. Everybody will be living in peace, love and jolly. May Zukwanuike.”

A London-based Nigerian makeup artist, Damilola Adejonwo has knocked trolls, particularly Nigerians, criticizing his sexuality.

Damilola, an openly gay Youtuber and beautician, had taken to Twitter to share a photo of himself and his partner rocking matching blue outfits to celebrate Christmas.

However, the post was met with massive backlash and homophobic comments from some Nigerians who chided him for being gay.

One @zembus1 wrote, “Get out with my face . What happen to all this beautiful ladies”

Another tweep @starpapii wrote, “Asin one of you the deposit anus for sxx yeah?”

Reacting to the negative comments, Damilola said he doesn’t care what people think or say about him, as it won’t change his sexuality.

In a follow-up tweet, he wrote;

“The Nigerians coming for my relationship. I am gay, don’t care what you think, all your stupid comments mean nothing. Still gonna be gay today, still going to be gay tomorrow.”

Popular Nollywood actor, Timini Egbuson, has revealed why he left the church.

Speaking during an interview with Lilian Afegbai on her Youtube show, Lilian’s Couch, Timini opened up about his relationship with God and how he was betrayed by the church.

According to him, he was a church boy who used to preach in the main churches when he was a teenager.

He said that as time went on, he realised that there was a lot of pretence in the church, which made him leave the church system to find God and have a personal relationship with him.

“I feel like me and God have a personal relationship. I’ve been betrayed by the church in the past. Like, I was a full church boy. In my teenage years, I used to preach in the main church on Sundays. Everything you think I have now in terms of swag and whatever, it was in church that I learned it.

Then I went to some other churches. But I just realized that there’s a lot of pretense. And I know it’s not a reason to stop going because obviously. So basically you know, it’s just a thing where I was just like okay let me find this man called God on my own. And that’s what we are doing right now.

There’s someone I’m seeing, or talking to, right now that introduced me to this whole Bible plan. I mean, sometimes I just lie to her when she asks “have you checked it this morning?” In terms of reading the Bible again and all that, I’m not really there yet but like a one on one relationship with my God. Talking to him saying “how far baba? this is what I’m doing” and He’s been helping me make the best decisions so far. And it’s calm.” He said.

Reacting to the ongoing drama between Yul and May over his decision to marry his second wife, Judy Austin, Uche condemned polygamy and said she doesn’t wish it on her worse enemy.

According to her, the second wife and her children will always feel like they are at war with the first wife.

Controversial actor Yul Edochie’s first wife, May, has taken to social media to share beautiful family Christmas photos.

The mother of four shared the photos of herself and her children rocking matching outfits, and her husband, Yul, was noticeably absent in the photos.

In the photos, May wore a matching red dress with her only daughter, while her three sons wore matching black outfits.

“Merry Christmas. The Queen, her princess and the boys”. She captioned the photo.

Yul’s absence from the photos caused quite a stir online, he, however reacted by resharing the photos on his Instagram page and reiterating that May and the kids are his family.
