Big Brother Naija star, Hermes, has cried out on social media after he was profiled by police officers in Lagos state.

The reality star, who had previously recounted how before the show he frequently found himself in police custody despite having committed no crime, because of his looks, was yet again profiled despite his new celebrity status.

A video Hermes shared via his social media page showed a police officer searching the car he was in with his team. At some point, they got down from the car as the police officer thoroughly searched their bags.

According to him, because of their looks, the officers were searching their vehicle and bags in search of drugs.

“Omo police don profile me, see my manager. This is profiling. They think we have money now and they are looking for drugs inside my vehicle. Policemen, they see we are fine. We were inside Uber we don’t have a car yet. They stopped us, we didn’t carry anything”, he narrated in one of the videos.

A while ago, Hermes during a conversation with his colleagues claimed that he spends at least four nights a week in police custody.

According to him, he has been arrested several times by the police due to his hairstyle and piercings. He noted that he is often judged wrongly by people due to his looks but remains undeterred as he projects creativity through them. Read here.

A Nigerian woman has complained online that her wealthy younger sister, who has helped her in the past, is now refusing to help.

The struggling mother admitted that her kids attend the same expensive school as her rich sister’s kids, and the sister had helped to pay her kids’ school fees in the past, but is no longer willing to and is insisting that she take her kids to a school she can afford.

According to her, she’s disappointed in her sister because she’s certain that she can afford to help her with her children’s school fees since she drives the latest cars and rocks trendy outfits, but she’s choosing not to.

The woman, who believes her sister is unwilling to help out of sheer wickedness, sharing her story online, wrote,

“Good morning. I’m pissed right now. My younger sister and her husband her rich. Very rich. My sister drives different car but she does not want to help me. My kids want to pay for school fees and she does not want to give me. My children and her own is attending same school and last year she helped me pay their school fees and now I don’t have money business is going slow.

”I asked her but she refuse saying I should take them to a small school. How can her own children be in a big school and my own in a small school. That is how we divide the family because we have no unity. It is paining me because she has money and she does not want to help. Should I call her husband or report her to our mum.

I know how she buy hair and bag and clothes because she dresses well but she can’t help her sister. It is because my hubby job that is not going well. If not y will she tell me to take my children to small school and her own her going to big school. Some family are wicked. Blood family.”

A trending video on micro-blogging website, Twitter, shows the moment a Nigerian man angrily destroyed an expensive car he had acquired for a woman said to be his side-chick.

According to reports, the man who is happily married but still goes around maintaining the lifestyle of his side-chick, felt highly betrayed when he discovered that his side-chick has been cheating on him. His next line of action would then be to wreak havoc on the Range Rover he recently bought for her.

According to the man’s friend identified as @Makavelli275 on Twitter, the man discovered that his newly married wife was a former ‘runs girl’ (prostitute) while checking through her phone.

Former Ebonyi lawmaker, Maria Ude Nwachi has asserted that the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, knows the value of being a man following news that he’s about to take a sixth wife.

It was earlier announced that the Ooni of Ife, who has gotten married to multiple women within a short span, will get married to yet another wife, Dr. Temitope Adesegun, an Ijebu princess in Lagos today, October 24.

Reacting to the viral tweet that caused quite a buzz on the microblogging platform, Aisha, an Edo-born activist, agreed that men from her state are seldomly handsome but stated that they are “fine where men are supposed to be fine”.

According to the mother of two, she can attest to this because her husband is also from Edo state.

A Twitter user has called out a US-based Nigerian man for keeping his wife’s death a secret from her relatives for nine months.

According to the Twitter user identified as @Fadhlu_S, the man’s wife passed away nine months ago, but the husband kept the news of her passing from her family until someone called to inform them.

Fadhlu said the family had been calling the deceased’s phone for months before they got to know she had died, but the husband refused to answer the call.

When the family called the husband to ask about their daughter’s death, he confirmed that she had died 9 months ago and had been buried, but he forgot to inform them.

“Some people are just wicked Wallahi! Your wife passed away 9 months ago and you FORGOT to call her parents, you kept charging her phone and you don’t answer her calls. No, akwai hisabi.

A Malawian man, identified as Francis Banda, has demolished the houses he built for his wife and her mother after she dumped him for another man.

According to the aggrieved man who spoke in an audio recording shared online by Malawi 24, he and his wife have been married for 13 years and have three children together.

During the course of their marriage, he used his money and resources to build a house for his wife and another for his mother-in-law in her village.

However, things went south when his wife started cheating on him with another man, and recently moved out of their matrimonial home to stay with her lover.

Banda said he tried to contact his wife and mother-in-law to reason with them but his wife’s phone was picked up by her new man which infuriated him to the bone.

Out of anger, he decided to tear down the houses he built for his wife and mother-in-law. A video of the moment the house was demolished by some men while a multitude of people watched is currently serving rounds online.

Queen Tobi Phillips, one of the new wives of the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, has recounted how she prayed to God to bless her with a gift that would shock people, and he swiftly granted her request.

A Nigeiran man has taken to his social media page to share how he was almost scammed by a P.O.S attendant and how he was able to prevent it.

Twitter user @Iam_gifted had gone to withdraw money and the attendant tried to take a picture of his ATM card to get the numbers written on it. She held on to the card for too long and he suspected something dodgy was going on instead.

He startled her and caught her taking pictures with the intent to send them to her boyfriend.

“Please, you guys should be careful how you withdraw money from POS. Yesterday I went out to withdraw from the POS. When I gave the girl my card to withdraw money, she bent down to pick up something which happens to be my ATM card
I was tired of waiting for her to stand up, so, I opened the door and saw her taking pictures of my ATM card numbers. She got shocked and tried to hide her phone from me but I told her I will call the police to arrest her if she doesn’t say the truth to me.
She later confessed that she do send the pictures to her boyfriend so they can withdraw money from people’s account.” he tweeted.

The United States embassy in Nigeria has warned Americans in Nigeria to be mindful of their movement in the country due to the elevated risk of terror attacks in Nigeria, specifically in Abuja.

In a security alert issued today October 23, the US embassy advised its citizens to avoid all non-essential travel or movement, stay alert and avoid crowds.

The security alert in part reads

“There is an elevated risk of terror attacks in Nigeria, specifically in Abuja. Targets may include, but are not limited to, government buildings, places of worship, schools, markets, shopping malls, hotels, bars, restaurants, athletic gatherings, transport terminals, law enforcement facilities, and international organizations.

The U.S. Embassy will offer reduced services until further notice. Actions to Take: Avoid all non-essential travel or movement. Stay alert. Avoid crowds.

Review your personal security plans and keep your cell phone charged in case of emergency. Carry proper identification.”

In the meantime, the Department of State Services has urged Nigerians to stay alert and assist security agencies with information on suspicious criminals in their neighborhoods.

Popular socialite and talent manager, Soso Soberekon, has offered to give the sum of N1M to anyone who assists him in the recovery of his misplaced phone at the reception of Isreal DMW’s wedding.

Soso Soberekon alongside other Nigerian celebrities and influential people gathered to celebrate with Davido‘s logistic manager at his wedding on Saturday.

Following the event, the businessman took to his social media page to bemoan misplacing his electronic device and he made it clear that he had important stuff in the phone.

He wrote on Instagram ;
“I misplaced my iPhone yesterday in benin at the marriage reception of @isrealdmw . Pls a 500,000 to 1m naira reward will be given to anyone that will return or help in getting the phone. The work contents in the phone is very important please,”

A Popular South African pastor, Dr. Thomas Mukala of True Worshippers Word Empowerment Ministry, Sandton, Johannesburg has shared his thoughts on Love and marriage.

According to the Pastor, love alone is not enough to make a marriage or relationship work.

The Pastor who is also a successful businessman stated this on Sunday, October 23, 2022, and he advised that the key to an enduring marriage is Divine Knowledge.

Big Brother Naija star, Nengi, has clapped back at a Twitter user who suggested that she is not pretty.

Someone had shared the reality TV Star’s photo and stated that she is fine. Another social media user, a lady, saw the post and went to the comment section to state that Nengi is not fine.

”Nengi no fine at all, just filter and all, met her in immigration office with her overyellow face and pimples” she wrote.

Nengi would not take that comment from the troll and she deemd it fit to issue a reply.

Nigerian actor, Gideon Okeke has announced that he’s been served breakfast after 4 years of marriage and two children.

The actor took to his Instagram story this morning to announce that he and his partner have split ways and solicit prayers as he goes through these trying times with his family.

Nigerian rapper, Cynthia Morgan has replied an internet troll, Kussman, after two months since he called her out for not giving him an audience.

Kussman who took to Twitter months back to rejoice that Cynthia Morgan who refused to help him when she was hot is finally in the same position as he is, 8 years with no hit, finally got a reply from her.

She took to her Instagram story to complain about his comment and call out other artistes, like Tiwa Savage who allegedly treated her the same way.

Bike rider swept away by flood after he refused to let go of his bike (video)

An unfortunate incident was caught on camera in Oko Oba, Agege, Lagos as a commerical bike rider was swept away by flood after he refused to let go of his bike and save himself.

The video shows the man riding a bike with two passengers behind him as he tries to drive through the flooded street.

The first passenger then decides to save himself and he jumped down from the bike as it entered deeper into the water. Shortly after, the second passenger falls from the bike into the water but he stood up.

However, the bike rider continued driving through the flooded street before the flood current was too strong for man and machine and it started sweeping them away.

As the water carried the man away, he refused to let go of his bike to save himself.

Spectators are heard screaming for the man to leave the bike.
