With this, we can say, the current economic recession Nigerians are facing isn’t affecting Emeka Okonkwo aka E-Money aka singer KCee‘s older brother who is the owner of their record label – Five Star Music.
E Money is describes as an oil & gas investor/record label executive but the falling global oil prices did not stop him from making it rain (spraying is what us Nigerians call it) over 1 million Naira last weekend at Mike Ezuronye’s younger sister’s wedding.
E Money even sprayed with a unique spraying machine when his hands could no longer do the job!
A 36-year-old man, Imeh Akpan accused of raping his wife’s 15-year-old step-sister for 10 years has been arrested by the police in Lagos.
The suspect, who was paraded before reporters on Wednesday afternoon, however denied the allegation, insisting that he only did it once.
Akpan, according to the Police Commissioner, Fatai Owoseni, started defiling the teenager since she was five-year-old.
“The teenager has been living with him since she was small. He started raping her when
she was five-year-old.
“She lives with him and his wife, who’s her step-sister and he has been defiling her since then.
“But he was eventually caught at the weekend after the girl ran out of the house and was rescued by some policemen,” said Owoseni.
However, the victim (names withheld) disclosed that the man has taken advantage of her twice and her sister was not around.
She stated that she has complained to her sister once and when the older woman confronted her husband, he denied raping her.
She said:
“My daddy (suspect) raped me because my mummy travelled to Akwa Ibom last Wednesday. I was sleeping on Sunday, around 10pm, my daddy came and removed my clothes and slept with me.
“He used the towel to cover my eye and my mouth but I was still shouting and crying. He said nobody will come and help me. So, I ran out of the house when i got chance. After I ran out, I begged my neighbour to give me phone to talk to my mummy (half sister) and he said there is no credit in his phone.
“So, I ran towards the police station at the roundabout. On my way there, I saw one man who asked me where I was going. I told him everything and the man said he will take me to police station and to human right.
“So, he now took me to hotel that I should come and sleep in hotel till morning before he will take me to the station. I followed the man and I now said I cannot sleep with him inside the hotel.
“When I wanted to close my eyes, I was now seeing the man as if his hand was touching me in my dream. I could not close my eyes. Around 3am, I told the man I want to go and ease myself and he allowed me.
“The man now said since I want to go and report everything at police station that he will use his own money and that the money will be N50, 000, that I should do him a favour and enter the room. I did but the man wanted to rape me also and I shouted before the owner of the hotel came and opened the door.
“That was how I ran outside. As I was walking on the road, policemen saw me and I told them everything and they called one Okada man to take me to Lion Building.
“He has slept with me two times. The first time was last year. I told my mummy everything when she came back from church because my daddy told her that I ran out of the house. When I told her, she believed me but when my uncle now denied, he claimed that I left the door open and someone entered the house. That was why he kicked my left and I ran out,” she narrated.
But the victim who claimed he was drunk said he did not know what he did or how he did it.
“She is like my daughter and it is an abomination for me to sleep with her. I have been the one training her since she was a baby. I was drunk and I did not know anything. It was the police that invited me and told me I raped her. I did not even know. It is only this once I have done it. I do not know what came over me,” he said.
Yesterday, Davido, who recently inked a deal as a brand ambassador for Pepsi, took to his Snapchat to share new photos/clip of the 11-month-old daughter, Imade and to fans’ surprise, the little miss is already walking.
Yesterday, the proud dad spent all day with her, playing and recording her clips, until it was time to go to bed. “Sleep time,” he told her as they tried to make a conversation in bed, and in the following clips, the child had fallen asleep on his chest.
In the next clip, Davido was seen smoking with a friend.

A quite love stricken, passionate couple were so engrossed in their public display of affection that they did not even have the slightest clue a robbery was going on.
The couple were canoodling at a Montana bar when a pair of masked men pointed a gun at the bartender and demanded an undisclosed amount of cash early.
The couple continued to lock lips as the robbers circled the bar, but eventually the love birds came up for air and watched the suspects flee with cash-on-hand.
Two suspected traffic robbers, identified as Oyakhilome Okonkwo, 22 and Oche Joseph, 25 who allegedly stole N23,500 from a passenger in the Agbado area.
The suspects that were nabbed by the RRS men at the U-Turn area on Tuesday after they had allegedly disguised as bus passengers and stolen N23,500 from a passenger.
It was learnt that when the yet-to-be-identified passenger alighted at the U-Turn junction, he observed that his money was missing and alerted the police on patrol.
The passengers in the bus were said to have been searched during which the duo were found with the money. Joseph, who confessed to the crime, said he had done several vocations, but none had fetched him money like stealing.
Joseph, a resident of Mosalasi Street in the Ojo area, added that he had worked with Joseph for three months.
He said:
“The Agbado area is the most lucrative route for this business. There are too many pickpockets on the Oshodi-Mile 2 route. I decided to choose Agbado because pickpockets are not many there.
“We usually monitored our victims coming out of banks and we would follow them into buses. Today, we were at the bus stop where the victim was, but we could not remove the money at the bus stop.
“So, Oche (Joseph) and I followed him into a bus and we began to pick the money from his pocket. The money was in N500 denomination, so it was difficult to remove the entire money at once. I started removing the money in tranches, but unfortunately for us, the passenger alighted not far from the bank.
“On most occasions, we alight before the victim and we would run away. But the man alighted before us, noticed that his money had been taken and he raised the alarm.”
One of the very important things women want in their men… Compliments and appraisal!!! They fancy that stuff with all of their heart.
Peter Okoye took to his Instagram today to gush over the mother of his kids, Lola Omotayo, calling her his “Lollipop“… his woman crush Wednesday anytime…
Lol… the creativity in this though… In a way, I kinda like it… Instead of the grieved ex destroying the car, she just had it wrapped around and sealed.
If the time and calculation involved in doing this is put into consideration, the lady is more dangerous than a lady who just acts crazily and actually damages the car in the spur of the moment…
The Police have apprehended the woman suspected of stealing a ring from a corpse at a Texas funeral home in an incident captured on surveillance video.
The Odessa police force on Tuesday arrested 41-year-old, Kalynn Homfeld on a charge of theft from a human corpse.Police have said the ring stolen Friday was worth about $10. It is not known if she was aware of the value of the ring.
Investigators didn’t immediately say what led them to Homfeld or whether the ring was recovered.
Dating a typical Nigerian lady can be a topsy-turvy experience especially for a man who is just wetting his feet in the dating game.
Normally, women are complicated beings let alone a Nigerian woman who has so many challenges to deal with like an unstable economy, family, tradition, ethnicity, religion, peer pressure, biology and much more. All these factors conspire to influence whoever she will date.
The average man with his chauvinistic African mindset or perception does not understand this and expect this type of woman to accept him hook, line and sinker.
Little does he know that the days of parents marrying wives for their kids is old skool and that most women know what they want. If you want your relationship to blossom with a typical Nigerian woman.
Give her money to make her hair
Didi, Shooku, and Patewo are traditional hairstyles in Nigeria but young women prefer the Brazilian hair, the deft Ghana weaving, and attachment because it makes them appear sophisticated.
They rarely wear their natural hair, adorning these foreign hairstyles cost money and time and she expects her man to foot the bill for her hair.
If not always but once in awhile. In other cases, if you notice she is wearing a new hairstyle, it will not kill you to compliment her and perhaps pay for it. Afterwards, it is because of you, she spends that much time at the salon anyways.
LETTER TO THE PRESIDENT AND THE COMMANDER IN CHIEF OF THE ARM FORCES OF THE FEDERAL REPUBLIC OF NIGERIA GEN. MUHAMMADU BUHARI
Dear Mr President,
My Name is DUNCAN MIGHTY a successful musician who has always exported the good massages, RYTHME and vibes of Nigerian IKWERRE PORT HARCOURT content to the global world. I am also a successful entrepreneur /businessman with remarkable achievements in Niger Delta Today I am the current youth/ Brand ambassador for FORUM OF COALITION OF SOUTH-SOUTH CHAMBER OF COMMERCE INDUSTRY MINES AND AGRICULTURE.
And also the Niger Delta Entertainment Youth President. My office existence is to channel the minds of the youth in Niger Delta and South- South in Diaspora to embrace there Gods given talents for a greater Nigeria!
Your Excellency Mr President,
Please I want you to give me the opportunity to assist your Government in carrying out youth empowerment project in Niger Delta as to enable some of our eligible youths shun social vices, cultism and face there Gods given talent for a greeter Nigeria of Tomorrow.
Mr President you spoke so much about youth empowerment but I think one of the best ways to achieve that is through sports, and talent capacity building then we have a long way to go.
These are not good times for Nigerian sports at all. With the Super Eagles failing to qualify for the 2017 African Cup of Nations and the lack of stability in the team – constant change of coach and captain as well as the not too impressive performance of different sporting teams representing the country at different global events in recent times, it is obvious that the year 2016 has not started well for Nigerian sports at all.
The situation has been compounded by the refusal or inability of the National Sports Commission to make funds available to the country’s sporting contingents to different competitions in recent times. This may well be a sign of austere times.
It is no longer news that the Federal Government has been finding it difficult to navigate through the country’s economic woes which have been fueled by the free fall in the global price of oil and worsening exchange rate. What may be news is that the effect of these challenges on sports is huge.
Recently, the Nigerian Table Tennis team had to sponsor itself to a major tournament in Malaysia because the Nigerian Tables Tennis Federation and the NSC said there was no money to sponsor the team. While Segun Toriola, Haruna Quadri and others paid from their pickets, Funke Oshonaike angrily withdrew from the tournament. There is no better evidence to prove that the country has been on auto pilot for some months now.
This sort of challenge reminds one of our recent past where sports was given maximum attention by a serious government which was committed to youth empowerment and national integration. The London Olympics of 2012 was this disgraceful outing for Team Nigeria. After a few days of the event, the then Minister of Sports, Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi had to fly to to London where he gave touching speech at the camp of the athletes.
The athletes were inspired by his moving speech and they promised to up their game. Unfortunately, the entire Team Nigeria still came home without a single medal. That was a major scandal the country could not stomach at all. Angered by this outcome, the Federal Government summoned a major conference of all sports stakeholders from across the country and beyond. Government wanted to hear from everyone who mattered.
Hundreds of stakeholders gathered at the State House Banquet Hall (now Conference Centre) to dialogue with the President. Unlike other leaders who will just attend the opening ceremony of such event, make a fantastic speech and leave, The Federal Government dedicated a whole day to the summit and dialogued with the stakeholders for over 7 hours. Asked questions, sought clarifications and demonstrated to everyone present on that day the willingness and political will to implement all the decisions and recommendations put forward.
The Federal government was told to take all sporting issues personal and grant administrators and coaches direct access to the Presidency. The Federal Government was told to release funds to beef up infrastructure for training and ensure early preparation for all sporting tournaments as well as provision of world class training camps and facilities.
Most importantly, the Government was told to re-introduce the reward system and ensure athletes are rewarded, celebrated and recognized for any achievements recorded in sports in order to encourage others and give them the motivation that Nigeria is worth dying for. The discussants agreed that the Presidential handshake policy introduced by former President Olusegun Obasanjo in 2000 with the Super Falcons team which impressed at the World Cup in that year, had gone a long way to dampen the morale of athletes across all sports in the country.
The Federal Government implemented all these recommendations religiously and within months, our athletes started bringing home trophies and medals from across Africa and beyond.
Blessing Okagbare was among the athletes that made the country proud. She won silver and bronze medals World Athletic Championships in Moscow. She won silver medal in the long jump and came third in the women’s 200 metres race. The Federal Government rewarded Blessing Okagbare and her coach with cash gifts and national honor.
The Government also held a special dinner for both Falconets and U-17 male football sides which both conquered the continent in their respective categories. That same U-17 side also conquered the world in far away Dubai.
Nigeria won the African Cup of Nations for the first time in 19 years in South Africa in February, 2013. Nigeria ended up with 11 gold, 11 silver and 14 bronze medals at the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, finishing 8th in the overall ranking.
Federal government did not fail to extend the same gesture to all the individuals and teams who made the country proud in different sporting competitions. Former England international, Ambassador John Fashanu did not mince words when he granted an interview to newsmen and praised extraordinary feat in sports.
It is on record that the Super Eagles won Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in South Africa under this administration. The Super Eagles equaled the best record Nigeria ever had at the World Cup in Brazil.
The Nations U-17 team won FIFA U-17 World Cup in UAE. The female U-20 team won silver in their own World Cup. Nigeria had the best performance at the Commonwealth Games and the World Athletics Championship. I cannot mention the whole achievements because they are many.
All these happened because the Federal Government created an enabling atmosphere for sports men and women to strive because of the way he normally appreciates them when they return, I want to use this references to ask your office to empower me to carry out youth Empowerment projects in Sports, Music Comedy, Dance, Movies, photography And Fashion with this we have a proudly Nigerian youth of tomorrow.
Thank you Mr President, Yours faithfully DUNCAN MIGHTY SOUTH-SOUTH YOUTH /BRAND AMBASSADOR AND NIGER DELTA ENTERTAINMENT YOUTH PRESIDENT.

Five telephone lines belonging to some of the abducted Chibok schoolgirls were used to call some of the parents, it was learnt yesterday.
To increase their agony after missing the calls, the anxious parents were threatened by those receiving the calls when returned the calls.
The unknown callers also gave conflicting information on their location with some claiming to be speaking from Ondo or from Cameroon.
Mr. Hosea Tsambido, Chairman Kibaku Area Development association (KADA), an Association that represents the Chibok community in Abuja, told reporters yesterday that the chairman of the Chibok girls’ parents, Yakubu Nkeki, gave him the information. He added that Nkeki was threatened by the respondents and warned never to call back if he loves his life.
He said:
“The speculation that a Chibok girl phoned her father is not exactly like that. It is actually the telephone numbers of about five girls that are being used to call people but when the parents call back, different people answer, some will say they are in Ondo or in Cameroon.
”All the parents that were called missed the calls,” he said.
A six-year-old girl fell to her death from a 43-floor apartment complex in Osaka minutes after she watched a anime DVD featuring a family who could fly.
According to Guardian, the girl, who has not been named by Japanese authorities, climbed over a one metre-high fence at the edge of the balcony before plunging to her death.
It is understood the girl climbed out through a window onto the balcony and used a chair to scale the fence at the apartment. The family members saw the girl standing on the top of the fence before she lost her balance and tumbled over the side.
A police official told The Guardian:
‘We do not suspect any foul play at this time. We received a call on Sunday afternoon from a man who witnessed the girl’s fall. It may seem strange that it was not the family who called, but somebody on the ground witnessed the tragedy, and as soon as he saw it, he immediately called authorities.”We don’t want to name the anime she was watching because it could lead to people saying “this is what happens when you watch this movie”.’
Officials claimed the girl had started school the Friday before her death and was looking forward to the experience. She is survived by a younger brother and sister.
A woman, Mrs. Abigail Brown, has been arrested for kidnapping her two children to get ransom from her husband in Rivers state.
Brown and her husband’s former driver, identified simply as ThankGod, were said to have kidnapped Abigail’s two children and called the husband to pay a ransom to secure their release.
Brown initially denied the allegation against her, but later said the act was not intentional.
She told PUNCH Metro that it was frustration that made her to commit the crime, adding that she had no means of survival.
She claimed that her husband had abandoned her and the two children to suffer, adding that the kidnap was the only means of making some money from her husband.
It was gathered that the suspect had abducted her two children, aged two and 10 respectively, and hid them in her sister’s place.
She was said to be awaiting the ransom from the husband before she was apprehended by the police.
She said:
“I did it because of frustration. My husband abandoned me and my children.
“Since he left us and went away, I have been suffering with my children, and I know that he has money.“I only did it to make him bring money for me to take care of the children we had together.”
It was learnt that the suspect had demanded N6m as ransom to secure the release of the two children. She said:
“I did not demand up to that amount, but I demanded money from my husband.”
ThankGod, the former driver to the woman’s husband, who accepted taking part in the act, said his former boss’ wife contacted him.
ThankGod said:
“She called me to help her. She told me to take the two children to her sister’s place. That is how I got involved.
“She used me to act as the kidnapper of the two children before we were arrested. She lured me into it.”
Benin-based gospel singer Yvonne Omoarebokhae was found dead in a hotel room in Benoni, Benin, Edo State, after she allegedly spent the night with a Lagos-based pastor, Apostle Psalm Okpe of Fresh Oil Ministry.
From reports, the late Yvonne met Pastor Okpe on Facebook where they kicked off a relationship which went on for months, before they agreed for Yvonne to perform at Okpe’s programmes in Warri, Asaba and Benin.
According to Yvonne’s husband, his wife left home last Friday for the event. “At about 9:30 pm, the police used my wife phone to call and invited me to report at the Airport Road police station,” the man told the press. “I waited for more than two hours at the police station until the police asked me to go home but I insisted on knowing the whereabouts of my wife.”
“The DPO later told me that my wife was picked at a hotel in the GRA and rushed to the Benin Central hospital where she was confirmed dead,” the bereaved man continued, adding, “I am yet to see the corpse of my wife to know want happen and who is responsible for her death. We have a three-year-old baby at home.”
Meanwhile, Pastor Okpe has been arrested. Speaking with the press, the State Commissioner of Police, Chris Ezike, said: “It is under investigation. The man is married and the woman is married. Not until a post mortem is conducted, we cannot conclude what happened. I have asked the matter to be transferred to the State CID.”
