Controversial Nigerian singer, Portable, has taken to social media to call out an Italy-based show promoter following a horrid experience in the country.

Taking to his Instagram page to give a detailed account of the incident, Portable accused the promoter of putting his life at risk by bringing him to a place with no security, where people were allegedly attacking each other with guns and bottles.

He said that he had arrived in Italy early enough to make it to the show he was scheduled to perform at in Padova, Italy.

However, it took the show organizers two hours later to come and pick him and his team up from the airport by taxi.

He said when they were approaching the location of the show, they discovered that there had been shootings, arson, and a case of stabbing at the venue.

Worried, they ordered the driver to come to a halt so they wouldn’t approach the scene of the fight. However, it turned out that there were also hooligans at the corner where they had parked for safety.

Portable claimed that the hoodlums attacked them and collected the driver’s keys and demanded two thousand euros from them before they were freed.

An enraged Portable told the show promoter that he wouldn’t be returning the money paid to him for the show since they failed to fulfill their own part of the deal and put him at risk.

Popular abroad-based Nigerian dancer, Korra Obidi, has narrated her bitter experience in the hands of fraudsters in Mexico.

The mother of two, who is currently in Mexico to perform at some shows, went live on her Facebook page to reveal that her debit card details were siphoned by fraudsters who used it to make multiple purchases.

She explained that she went to buy a glass of margarita at a restaurant in Mexico and paid with her card. Not long after, she received seven debit alerts in quick succession from her bank account.

According to her, she was not the one who made the purchases and immediately called her bank provider to block access to the card before the scammers can remove more money.

Korra, who applauded the swift response of the bank, said they promised to refund the stolen money. She further stated that Nigerian fraudsters are novice compared to those in Mexico.

Her words,

“Guys, first thing has happened in Mexico. I just got seven notifications…remember that place…the place that had the Margarita ville…that I bought a $35 Margarita from?

They have been charging this card for different fast foods, $225 here, $225 there. I’ve not even eaten dinner and someone is already been charging my card for different things.

“Remember that place that I told you that I felt like I was scammed; at the airport…the place that had a drink for $10 and all of a sudden the drink is $35. I just got a security alert from wings stop…someone has spent my credit card on some wings, and then I got another alert for some fast food, $285 of my money on wings.

“This is worse than Lagos, we are learning in their hands. Yahoo dey learn for their hand. Yahoo yahoo boys need to come and learn work from Mexicans’ hands.

“I’ve called the Bank of America. Thank God for the most amazing bank ever. I called them in five seconds, someone picked up the call and they blocked this card. I can’t eat, but they said they’re going to give me my money back.”

A Nigerian woman who was among people who were abducted along Lagos-Ibadan expressway a couple of days back, has shared her testimony in church after she regained her freedom.

The Oyo state police command released a statement on Saturday, October 29 stating that there was an attempted abduction on the major expressway on Friday, October 28.

A statement by the spokesperson of the command, SP Adewale Osifeso, disclosed that the kidnappers carried out their attack along the Dominion University end of the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.

In her written testimony which was read by her pastor, Yemi Davids of the Global Impact Church on Sunday, October 30, the lady says,

“I ran into these daredevil gang of kidnappers yesterday afternoon along the Lagos-Ibadan expressway. It was a random swoop as a fisherman would cast his net into the sea. Our vehicles were stopped in front and behind so we could not even reverse. If even we thought of reversing, we were warned that they would open fire. We were instructed to park off the road and that the last person to park and to get out of his car will be killed. True to their words, the last person that got out of his car was shot dead immediately.”

Apostle Johnson Suleman, the General Overseer of Omega Fire Ministries (OFM), has responded to the controversy that has surrounded reports that he escaped an attack by gunmen in a bulletproof car.

Recall that the clergyman survived an assassination attempt in Auchi, Edo State, on Friday, October 21.

His convoy was attacked at about 5:45 p.m. on October 21 on Warreke-Auchi Road in Edo North Senatorial District, leading to the killing of seven people—four policemen, one driver, and a lady. Fortunately for the clergyman, he and his family managed to escape unscathed.

Following the incident, the pastor came under fire from Nigerians on social media, who berated him for riding in a bulletproof car while his aides were unprotected.

Finally reacting amid the backlash, Apostle Suleman, speaking during a recent sermon in his church, said if he had the money, he would buy a bulletproof car for every member of his church.

The quite curvy lady who not only shares prank videos on her page, but also videos of her helping random needy people, is seen in this prank video approaching a middle-aged man who was with another lady, and asking him for his number.

She walks up to him and tells him he’s a fine man and would love to have his number. The man’s first instinct was that she was shooting a prank video and after she put his mind at ease that she wasn’t shooting a video, he then asked the lady he was with to oblige the prankster’s request.

He’s seen telling the other lady to give the prankster his number but the lady refused and insisted she gives out her own number to the prankster instead. The prankster then insists on wanting the man’s number, saying she only wants to get to know him and be friends.

The man himself is heard saying he’s like a “Daddy figure” and so, it’s not bad if the prankster has his number. When the other lady would not oblige, he then proceeds to give the prankster his number himself.

A quite young lady took to her TikTok page to share how she became a victim of domestic violence shortly after getting married earlier in the year.

The lady who made a video showing how her life changed in the space of a few months, revealed that she’s tired and frustrated and is using her story to raise awareness on domestic violence.

She starts her video by showing what she looked like before the 8-month long ASUU strike and how she then got married and was later, seemingly pregnant. The video then transitions into photos of her with a bruised face and her looking quite leaner than before.

In captions she put in the video, the lady writes,

At the end of the video, it appears the pregnancy she once had wasn’t there anymore and this caused people to question what might have happened.

While the video has gone viral on the video-sharing platform, with TikTokers praying for her to heal and all, a handful of people don’t quite believe her story as they feel it’s only made up.

Most of them are of the opinion that the bruise on her face is just makeup.

A South African man identified as Zwelithini has shared the mail he received from a thief who stole his laptop.

According to him, he lost his device last night and got a mail from the preparator explaining why he robbed him. He was also kind enough to attach the research proposal he was working on that was saved on the laptop.

He then asked the victim whether he needed any other documents on the laptop before selling it to get money.

In his words;

A Nigerian man identified as Otunba has accused officers of the Adeniji police station in Lagos state of arresting him and his friends after finding sex toys on female passengers.

According to him, they were pulled over while heading to the club, and after a thorough search, sex toys were found on the ladies in their car.

He said the officers dragged them to their station, where they confiscated their gold bracelets worth N500,000 each and extorted N50,000 from them.

He wrote;

“My friends and i were on our way back from 17th avenue after dinner and we headed to the club, when we got stopped by some men in casual clothes, they claimed to be police officers, this was around 12:20am, we stopped and allowed them to do their thing,
they then searched each and every one of us and later saw sex toys w the ladies that were with us, immediately we were put into handcuffs and taken to the their station immediately, i kept asking if sex toy was now illegal in Nigeria,
when we got to the station they asked us to take off all our belongings, i still told them to allow me call my lawyer or a friend so they know where we were, they took my friends gold chains and bracelets, and took us inside the cell till around 4:40am,
then they later came back and took us to a place and asked us to pay the sum of 150,000 and i asked again, please show me where it’s illegal to use sex toys. this officers went ahead to browse up a blog that said “police to arrest people w sex toys”

at this point i was already frustrated because we were not allowed to call anyone, we begged them and they later told you to pay the sum of N50,000 after paying when we were released and our belongings were released back we couldn’t find 2 gold bracelets

and we immediately told them our bracelets were missing, they then got furious and said “do you know it’s a crime to accuse a police officer” they slapped my friend and shouted at us to leave immediately if we didn’t want to go back to the cell

Please we just need our gold bracelets back because each piece cost about N500,000 Abeg, una don collect una 50,000 already, give us back our bracelet”

Benjamin Hundeyin, the state police command’s spokesperson, guaranteed that the officers would be found and prosecuted.

A young man identified as Folorunsho took to the micro-blogging platform to share the heartbreaking event that occurred between him and someone he assumed was his close friend.

According to Folorunsho, he was planning to turn up big for his friend’s wedding and was ready to go all out until he found out she hosted a pre-wedding dinner with her close friends and he was not invited.

Mutual friends of both parties wondered why he was not at the event, reached out to find out why and were all shocked to find out he was not invited.

To avoid plenty talk, I agreed to reach out. In reality, I wouldn’t. By evening, on my way from work, another mutual reached out. Call her Mrs. B.

She’s not in Abuja with us so when she asked why I wasn’t there, I lied. I said I took the pictures and recorded videos. Mrs. B told me that’s not true. She said Mrs. A would have posted pictures of us together with the Bride to be since she knows how close we are. So I told her I wasn’t invited.

Afterwards, we was on a long call and she was telling me to reach out. As they tried to convince me to reach out, resentment staryed building up. Why? You’re asking me to reach out to someone who deliberately left me out of her list? I mean, we have a WhatsApp group; Myself, Xyz and Mrs. A. I post on the group from time to time.

From videos I saw, there were over 30 people present. Obviously, she didn’t forget. She really didn’t invite me and that’s actually fine. I mean, I have family members who love me genuinely, why should a stranger leaving me out of her plans bother me? The issue I have now is people asking me to reach out and even attend the wedding.

A suspected internet fraudster (locally known as Yahoo boy) has gone viral on social media after a video of him sobbing bitterly about how difficult it is to cash out found its way to the internet.

He was praying for a wealthy client to locate him so that his efforts in his chosen career would not be in vain and he would be able to live like a big boy.

The young man specifically stated that his preference is a wealthy foreign client with a generous heart.

”Omo just 1 rich client with giving heart locate me’‘, he captioned.

In related news, Six internet fraud kingpins: Idris Ibrahim, Oghenewowero Teddy Emmanuel, Hillary Ifeanyi Nwosu, Friday Iwhighuavwe, Abasii Biangake Willie and Richard Welle Chikodi were on Thursday October 27, 2022 convicted and sentenced to various terms by Justices P. M. Ayua, A. T. Mohammed and P. I. Ajoku of the Federal High Court sitting in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.

They were arraigned by the Port Harcourt Zonal Command of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, on a separate one-count charge of impersonation contrary to section 22 (2) b (i) of the Cybercrimes ( Prohibition, Prevention, etc) Act, 2015”.

The charge against Idris reads: “That you, Idris Ibrahim sometimes in September, 2022 at , Warri, Delta State within the within the jurisdiction of this Honourable Court fraudulently represented yourself as investor working with a brokerage platform “trading composure” on WhatsApp business account with intent to gain advantage for yourself and thereby committed an offence contrary to section 22 (2) b (i) of the Cybercrimes ( Prohibition, Prevention, etc) Act, 2015 and punishable under Section 22 (2) (iv) of the same Act”.

Nwosu’s charge reads:”That you, Hillary Ifeanyi Nwosu on or about 4th day of August, 2022, at Rukpokwu and Choba axis in Port Harcourt, did fraudulently represent yourself as one Lucky Duran, a citizen of the United States of America in your Telegram social media account with intent to gain advantage for yourself and committed an offence contrary to section 22 (3) a of the Cybercrimes (Prohibition, Prevention, etc) Act, 2015 and punishable under Section 22 (4) of the same Act”. – Source – EFCC

Controversial Nollywood Actor and social media critic, Uche Maduagwu has dragged his colleague, Nkechi Sunday Blessing to filth after she expressed her desire to become one of the wives of reverred Osun Monarch, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi.

The Ooni of Ife has been making news-headlines throughout the month of October as he seems to be marrying new Wives every week.

The Monarch is currently married to Six beautiful women of high calibre and the king has often times been hailed for his great taste in his women.

There are also talks that he’s not done getting married as he will also add more beautiful Queens to his Palace.

The talks might have triggered Nollywood Actress, Nkechi Blessing to express her desire but it angered Uche Maduagwu so much that he took to his social media page to issue a scathing attack.

A Nigerian woman identified as Marlene Onyeocha shared her terrible experience flying from Abuja to London.

According to her, the flight was delayed because they had to fly down to Lagos to pick up their pilot who couldn’t stay in Abuja because of the security risks, before embarking on their journey to London.

She urged Nigerians to vote right in 2023 to ensure a government that will stand for the people is put into power and prevent mishaps like these.

In her words;

“I first have to thank the Almighty for journey mercy then tell my experience with my so called favorite airline British Airways. It was surposed to be a six and half hour flight from Abuja to London but it took almost 11hrs.
Left Abuja on time 8.05 but because according to the airline, due to security alert in Abuja, the pilot refused to sleep in Abuja… Don’t ask me who flew the plane to Lagos. With all passengers on board, we had to fly to lagos to pick up the pilot not a laughing matter.
Touching down in Lagos, a passenger fell ill and we had to wait for he/she be escorted off the plain without no announcements made until a few of us exploded before apology came.
Why l’m l telling you this? Come 2023, we need a government that will stand for her people internationally. I used to boasts l only fly British Airways, been flying from when it was British Caledonian Airways but after the yesterday’s experience, will do a rethink.
The crew couldn’t even read the manuals properly as if under trained or staff still leaning were brought in by emergency. What was going through my mind at the moment, l can’t share here but I intend to file a report and hope to get some answers.
I’m happy to be back home.”

Popular Instagram skit maker and comedian, Oluwadolarz, got into a fight over parking space in Ibadan today.

Oluwadolarz reportedly blocked the man’s car in a parking lot. When he eventually came out, the man yelled angrily at him, telling him he could have avoided blocking him by parking in other open spots.

The man was angry because he claimed he missed a meeting while waiting for Dolarz to move his car.

Oluwadolarz and his friend lost their cool after trying to apologize to the man and he remained adamant and kept calling him ‘young man”.

The man can be heard saying ‘no dey shout, young man, this is Ibadan. This only seemed to annoy Dolarz more and cause him to raise his voice.

A group of women at a popular market made a scene recently after an evangelist who was there to preach made an unflattering remark about their colleague in his sermon.

It appeared the clergyman who was in the market to preach to the people there had called one of the women a prostitute in his sermon, and the other women didn’t hesitate to tackle him.

A video from the scene currently making the rounds showed the women confronting the preacher as they queried why he made such a comment about another man’s wife.

The evangelist insisted that he address them according to how they were dressed, despite the women’s protests that the preacher had no right to refer to another man’s wife as a prostitute.

In other news, a Nigerian man identified as Adebanjo david has narrated how a man lost his opportunity to go on a bus because he was looking for respect from a fellow passenger.

According to the narrator, the man who was the last to get to the bus station refused to sit in the available seat and demanded the woman who was already in her space, respect him and switch positions.

The woman refused to be bullied and showed him Lagos was not for the faint-hearted.

In his words ;

“Lagos is not for the Weak. I could remember when this lady I met in the bus sometimes ago made me realize that. So it happened that she was the first to board the bus going to Lekki from ogba,the first passenger, and she took the seat beside the driver.

Then passengers came in and it got to the last sit available, which is the second sit beside the driver, so this man came and said she should adjust inside that he wants to sit by the door .
That’s how casala burst, she said she can’t shift anywhere, that She was the first passenger and that’s where she’d love to sit, that the man should take the sit available.
The man said she lacks home training, that he has her as wife at home, that she lacks respect,..

Man who arranged his kidnap reports his accomplices to police for cheating him

Men of the Adamawa state police command have arrested one, Israel Emmanuel, for planning his own kidnap and getting his father to pay ransom to the tune of N1 million (one million Naira).

According to the police command, Emmanuel was arrested after he visited the station to report his accomplices for cheating him.

He confessed to the self-kidnapping and said his accomplices lied to him that his father had paid a N500,000 ransom, whereas they received N1 million.

The Daily Post reports that Emmanuel collected his share of the declared N500,000, returned home, and told his family that he was released unharmed.

However, the story changed when he learnt that N1 million was paid for his ‘freedom’ as he could not contain the ‘betrayal’ from his accomplices.

Israel went to the Marraba Mubi Police Division to lodge a complaint and officers swiftly swung into action, investigated the matter, and arrested the perpetrators, including him.

Two of the three accomplices, Fartaci Kucol and Zakka Nuh, both from Mubi North LGA in northern Adamawa, who were also picked up, have similarly confessed to the crime.

They revealed that Emmanuel was kept in a village in Muvur within the Mubi North Local Government Area for six days and later Mubi metropolis where he spent another two days before the ransom was paid.

The third accomplice, Abdullhamid Mohammed, is still on the run.
