Following the myriad of criticisms, the “Bloody Samaritan” crooner has now served a response to her critics.

Young woman killed by stray bullet laid to rest in Abia community (photos)
A young Nigerian lady, Chiemele Gordon Ajunwa, who was killed by a stray bullet in Abia state, has been laid to rest.
The young lady, fondly called Damsel, died after she was hit by a stray bullet during the gun duel between soldiers and hoodlums in Ebem Ohafia, headquarters of Ohafia Local Government, on Wednesday, August 17, 2022.
The deceased was said to be from Amuta in Isuikwuato local government area, a resident of Ohafia, and owned a shop in the community.
The Nation reports that Chiemele, who was with her father during the gun duel, died before she could get help.
She was laid to rest over the weekend.

In other news, a Nigerian man, identified simply as Ibrahim, has died in India after suspected drug capsules burst in his stomach while he was allegedly smuggling them.
The 45-year-old man migrated to Pune, India, from Nigeria about ten years ago and was married to an Indian woman from the Kondhwa area of the city, Police reports.
It was gathered that he was declared missing by his wife recently and she lodged a complaint with the Kondwa Police Station in Pune.
Following investigation, it was discovered that Ibrahim used to visit his friend, Andy, in the Mira Nagar area and the case was transferred to Mira Nagar.
Sadly, he was found dead in Delhi and a team of police officers from Mira Naga was sent to Delhi to get more information.
They conducted a post-mortem examination on the deceased at the Narela Police Station in Delhi, and it was discovered that there was drugs in his system.
Further investigation showed that Ibrahim was hospitalized in AIIMS Hospital in Delhi due to abdominal pain.

Slay queen, Teju Pretty beaten and stripped naked for allegedly refusing to refund N150k debt since 2020 (video)
Controversial Instagram big girl, Teju Pretty has been beaten and disgraced for allegedly refusing to pay back the sum of N150k she was owing an hair vendor, Rhiks hair.
Rhiks, who took to Snapchat to narrate the genesis of the incident, said in 2020 she mistakenly transferred N800k to Teju who was an influencer for her business at the time.
She said she contacted Teju to refund the money because it was meant for her lawyer, but she kept giving her excuses and managed to pay back N650k.
Till date, Teju allegedly refused to refund the balance of N150k even after she asked for it repeatedly, and became rude to her and berated her for ‘disturbing her peace’ because of N150k.
Rhiks decided to take matters into her hands, and seemingly lured Teju to a location where she confronted, beat and stripped her naked for failing to refund her money.

The fight broke out on Sunday night after the levels were canceled and the housemates were merged.
Recall that during the live eviction on Sunday, the show host, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, announced that the housemates would be merged into one house.
Since the housemates were combined into one, there weren’t enough lockers, so Deji, who had been close to Chichi in the house, chose to share his locker with Diana. However, this decision didn’t sit well with Chichi, who subsequently took her anger out on Diana.

63-yr-old grandpa arrested for shipping illicit drugs concealed in black soap to his daughter in Dubai
Officers of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, has arrested a 63-year-old grandfather for peddling drugs.
According to a statement by the spokesperson of the agency, Femi Babafemi, the suspect identified as Afolabi Abideen Kolawole, was on August 18 arrested in Ibadan, Oyo State.
According to reports, he was behind the intercepted drug exhibit going to Dubai, on August 4. His arrest is coming after more than four sets of arrests eventually unraveled him.
The 63-year-old confessed that he was responsible for the concealment and packaging of the c@nnabis inside the black native soap used as mode of concealment. He also admitted this was his second attempt at sending such illicit substance to his daughter, Barakat, in Dubai.
In related news, The Nigerian government has revealed that it is working with authorities in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to assist Nigerians stranded in Dubai.
A video recently made the rounds on social media with women who claimed to be Nigerians calling on the government to assist them and also accusing the Nigerian mission in Dubai of being uninterested in their plight.

Popular Nollywood actress, Toyin Abraham has taken to social media to announce that she has settled her long-time feud with her colleague, Lizzy Anjorin.
The duo have had a personal vendetta since 2019 when Lizzy accused Toyin of outing her to the press that she was held and searched for drug peddling during her hajj trip to Saudi Arabia.
The fight degenerated into a full blown beef and in 2021, Lizzy again accused Toyin of using fake accounts to troll her on social media.
In a new update shared on Sunday, August 21, Toyin revealed that they had to involve the police in the case and it was proven that she was not the one behind the fake accounts.

A while ago, Chief Priest was forced to end his vacation in the UK because of the high naira to pounds exchange rate.
Taking to his Instastory to complain bitterly as pounds hits #830 in the black market, Cubana Chief Priest said he was coming back to where “things are easy”.
The celebrity barman had travelled to the UK with his wife, Angel, on Tuesday, August 16, and went shopping with her at different designer stores.
He shared a video of his wife trying on a sneakers and wrote, “She don start. If the world is for sale, I go buy am for you”.
The couple then spent the night at a luxury hotel in London which Cubana said was very expensive.
He said he didn’t let his wife sleep all night because he couldn’t sleep while thinking about the amount he spent on the room for one night.
“Exchange rate na die, I no gree @deangels sleep this night. We go do night vigil. If you convert this suite money to naira, sleep no fit catch you. Naija is gone,” he wrote.
In a follow-up post, the business mogul disclosed that he was returning back to Nigeria because the exchange rate is not favorable.
“This pounds rate no be here. We don jakpa to where e go dey easy”, he wrote.
Man arrested for impregnating his 14-year-old daughter and inviting five other men to sleep with her in Ogun
The Ogun state police command has arrested a 49-year-old man, Amoda Bola, for allegedly impregnating his 14-year-old daughter and forcing her into prostitution.
The suspect, a resident of Idi Oro street, Ode Remo, was arrested on August 17 following a complaint received from the victim. The teenager had reported at Ode Remo divisional headquarters that her father, with whom she has been living with for some years now, has been having carnal knowledge of her.
She stated further that her father has also been inviting men to the house to sleep with her, after which the men will pay him money.
Following the complaint, the suspect, Amoda Bola, was arrested at his residence.
On interrogation, the suspect, who first denied the allegations, later confessed when the victim confronted him. His confession led to the arrest of five others who had slept with the victim at different times on the invitation of the father.
The other suspects are: Ahmed Ogunkoya, 30yrs, Muyiwa Adeoye, 48yrs, David Sunday Solaja, 69yrs, Emmanuel Olusanya, 50yrs, and Joshua Olaniran, 50yrs.
Confirming the incident, the spokesperson of the state police command, SP Abimbola Oyeyemi, said all the suspects have confessed to having carnal knowledge of the 14-year-old girl and have paid money to the father.
Oyeyemi said the victim, whose mother had separated from the father years back, said she was practically turned into a prostitute by her father.
“She has been taken to state hospital Isara Remo where it was confirmed that she is pregnant. The victim has insisted that it was her father who is responsible for the pregnancy been the only person who slept with her within the period she got pregnant.
Meanwhile, the Commissioner of Police, CP Lanre Bankole has ordered the immediate transfer of the suspects to anti humans trafficking and child labour unit of the state Criminal Investigation Department for discreet investigation and possible prosecution.” Oyeymi said

Nigerian IG comedienne, Nons Miraj in a recent video shared on social media, advised Nigerians to waive the idea of moving to London, United Kingdom, because of the country’s basic living costs.
Sharing her experience when she boarded a ride in London, Nons revealed she was charged over a hundred pound for an 80-mile trip.
According to her, she pays less for such rides like that in Nigeria. Miraj went on to add that she always complains that the fare is too much in Lagos despite the meagre amount she pays.

The 19-year-old monarch who recently graduated from secondary school, disclosed this in an interview with Sunday Vanguard.
He is quoted as saying,
“Yes it is compulsory I will marry more than one wife. In our tradition here, it is compulsory for a king to have more than one wife because the first wife, if she has a male child, the male child will become the next king and the second wife’s first male child will become what we call Eleki and, if the first wife does not have a male child and the second wife has, it is the first male child of the second wife that will become the next king. The Eleki is the second in command to the king; if the king is not around, the Eleki will be in charge.” he said.
Akinghare, who is the youngest ruling Yoruba monarch in Nigeria, also shared that he has female friends but he is too shy to talk to girls.
“I have a lot of them, but I want to grow a bit older and get more mature before I get involved with women, l mean get married. For now I don’t really like to talk to girls, so to woo a lady is hard for me because if you see me you will know I am a shy person.” he added.

He nominated in no particular order, Chizzy, Kess, Daniella, Amaka, Modella, Pharmsavi and Groovy. Sunday evening saw the eviction of Kess and Pharmsavi from the Big Brother house, meaning they had the least vote count from viewers.

#BBNaija: Pharmsavi gets evicted from the Big Brother house
As it’s a double eviction Sunday night, the end of the road has come for housemate, Pharmsavi who managed to stay in the Big Brother house for close to four weeks.
Pharmsavi who was among six other housemates up for eviction was announced as the second housemate tonight to leave the Big Brother Naija house.
His eviction and that of Kess’s this evening leaves a total of 22 housemates left in the Brother house, however, only 18 out of this number are the ones contesting for the grand prize worth a N100m.
This week will make it a full month since the seventh season of the reality TV show begun and so far, there’s been drama, heartbreak, conflict and more… which is quite exciting for viewers.
#BBNaija: Married man, Kess gets evicted from the Big Brother Naija show
In a sad turn out of events, married Big Brother housemate, Kess has been announced as the latest housemate to be evicted from the Big Brother Naija house.
Kess was among six other housemates who were up for eviction at the start of the week and sadly, his time in the Big Brother house has come to an end following his eviction.
When Ebuka asked how he feels about his eviction, he said he felt disappointed as he felt he could have stayed back longer in the house.
It’s a double eviction night and at least, one more housemate among Chizzy, Daniella, Pharmsavi, Modella, Amaka and Groovy will possibly be evicted tonight.
A couple of days back, Kess’s family revealed that his wife had a miscarriage. It was earlier reported that the 28-year-old married housemate lost his son on the 25th of July, 2022, just three days after the show started.
Giving details on the tragic incident in an official statement, the family said Kess’ wife had a miscarriage and she’s now in perfect condition.
The family asked for support and prayers as he continues his quest in the Big Brother house.
The statement read,
“The past weeks have been most trying for the family of Adjepkovu. We are saddened by the loss of Kess’s son through a miscarriage but we are comforted by the well wishes and kind thoughts of friends around. Special regards to the wife for being strong and courageous through the whole experience.
”Kess is a strong character and would need our prayers right now as he continues his quest in the Bigbrother show. The family asks for respectful consideration during this private time. Thank you”.

A woman has taken to her social media page to call out her son’s father for allegedly refusing to take responsibility for their child.
The woman shared a photo of her son’s father while accusing him of shying away from his duties.
According to the lady, he’s a “very hardworking young man” but has refused to provide for their son.
In her words;
Please anyone who knows this man should tell him to do the needful before it gets out of hand for him.
You can only sleep around but you can’t take responsibility for your actions. You think abandoning your son and moving on to another girl is the solution to your problem right?

Polygamous families rarely produce undamaged children – OAP Toolz writes
Popular Nigerian On-Air Personality, Tolu “Toolz” Oniru-Demuren, has taken to her social media page to share her opinion about children who come from polygamous families.
According to the media personality, Polygamy rarely produce undamaged children.
Toolz, who is a happily married mother-of-two stated this on her Instastory on Saturday August 20.
She added that a lot of things she wants to change about herself are due to her experience as a child from a polygamous family.
Her post reads;
“I ‘ve realised that a lot of things about me that I want to change are due to things I experienced as a child ….particularly coming from polygamous family. Polygamous families rerely produce undamaged children. (in my opinion).”
In related news, Nollywood actress, Mary Remmy Njoku recently took to her social media page to address women who praise their husbands for ‘helping’ with the kids.
The mother of three pointed out that there are some women who laud their husbands for taking care of the kids and doing menial tasks in the home.
Reacting to this trend, the Actress told such women that their husbands are not doing them any favour because they are his children too. She asserted that such men should be praised for being a great dad, not ‘helping’ with the kids.

The woman fervently laid her hands on the man as she tried to cast and bind the madness away but her efforts didn’t yield too much positive results.
At a point, the mentally-unstable man fired back at her saying “I don hear, abeg dey go”

Man accidentally cuts off his ‘SOMETHING’ while dreaming about cutting meat
A man has been hospitalized after he accidentally cut off his own testicles while sleeping.
47-year-old Ghanian Farmer, Kofi Atta, dozed off in an armchair and said he managed to pick up a knife while sleeping and he had a dream about cutting meat.
In his sleep, he said he mistakenly cut his testicle.
Still in a dream-like state, the farmer from Assin Akomfede called for two neighbours who rushed to his house and found him alone, covered in blood.
In his words –
“I was sitting in my chair when I dozed off. In my sleep, I dreamt that I was cutting some meat in front of me.
“I don’t remember how I picked up the knife, even I am confused.”
According to the man, he was still unsure of what had happened when his neighbours came through, although he stood up and felt a sharp pain in his genitals.

Popular Nigerian Prophet, Oba Solomoni, has averred that being a commercial sex worker pays more than being a University Graduate in Nigeria these days.
He said this in his recent live video where he bemoaned the situation of things in the country.
According to the controversial prophet, the value of going to school is hardly noticed because the jobs that come out of being a graduate don’t pay enough and when a graduate eventually retires, it’s not guaranteed that he/she will get pension.

When I think about Nigeria, I cry, especially for you graduates, I cry everyday.
You wake up everyday and suffer to go to school, they get a Job and they get owed salaries, they live like that until they retire and when they retire they have no pension.
Why then did they go to school?
