Popular media personality and lifestyle vlogger, Toke Makinwa, has said she’s tired of being strong and wishes she could be vulnerable with someone.
In a post via her Insta-stories on Monday, the On Air Personality said she can’t remember what it feels like to open up and be so vulnerable with another person.
In her words,
“I can’t remember what it really feels like to open up and be so vulnerable with another person, tired of being so strong. I want to feel soft again. But the way the world is set up today.”
This comes after Toke called out her friends for not showing her support after a new movie she featured in was released.
The TV gal starred in the remake of Nollywood classic “Glamour Girls” which was released on Tuesday, June 24.
However, the movie was met with massive criticisms from movie lovers who claim it didn’t meet their expectations.
In an apparent reaction to the criticisms, Toke took to her Instastory to reveal that her friends didn’t show her support or praise her acting skills after the movie was released.
She added that none of them should expect any support from her when they need it because she would repay them in their own coin.
The 37-year-old TV host wrote,
“I’ve received more support from strangers than I have friends since glamour girls came out, Not mad or feeling entitled, just putting it out there so that when next your palm itches you to ask for my support on anything, remember you stayed silent when it was my turn. No more what will Jesus do, pls be guided.”
Popular Nollywood actor, Yomi Fabiyi, has released video evidence to dispel domestic violence allegations levelled against him by his baby mama, Grace Amarachi.
Grace, who welcomed a child with Fabiyi in February 2022, had accused the actor of beating her up while she was heavily pregnant and forcing her into forced labour.
Reacting, Yomi Fabiyi shared videos on his Instagram page to debunk the claims of domestic abuse.
The actor claimed in one of the videos that he had to call the police at past midnight because his wife had allegedly threatened to kill him.
Sharing the video, he wrote,
“EVIDENCE 2 of DOMESTIC VIOLENCE II:
When someone sent you a message to ruin my brand, career and personality, if not that you are an equal criminal and quack, aren’t you suppose to verify. You label and call me name at the detriment of my career.
“It is a shame we still have a handful visit, fan and motivate a criminal who hides behind journalism to perpetrate crime with reckless abandon. These set of people and those quoting the criminal platform as source are accomplice and are danger to the society.
UNTIL I AM KILLED BEFORE I RUN. Men go through hell but these criminals keep playing GENDER CARD AND EMOTIONAL BLACKMAIL. Enough! Like I said, anarchy looms!”
Recall that Yomi Fabiyi’s baby mama had contacted controversial blogger, Gist Lover, to complain about the actor and how he “used” her. Read here.

Media personality, Jon Joe, is of the notion that a side chick is everything a man wants in his woman. He shared this thought via his Twitter handle on Monday night.
While a couple of his followers support his view, others are of the opinion that the wants and needs of men are different.
He wrote,
“A side chick is everything a man wants in his woman but he prefers to see & enjoy it alone with his woman. He can frolick & caress his side chick in the presence of his friends & others, but won’t do same with his main woman in public. Side chicks are for aesthetics. End.”
Much to the utmost surprise of a lot of people, it’s been revealed that a party that would feature popular TikToker, Kelly is being organised and the whopping sum of a N100k would be the fee needed to be a part of the event.
A young man who seems to be the main organiser of the party, received serious heat on social media after he made a video of himself promoting the party that’s slated to happen in a couple of days.
The young man is seen in the video, begging people to start making their payments as “turn up” for the party is highly needed and people shouldn’t let him down by not coming through for him. He even goes as far as saying if they’re unable to afford the N100k, then they should go and borrow it.
President Muhammadu Buhari has bemoaned the prolonged strike action by the Academic Staff Union of Universities, saying enough is enough.
The president stated this on Monday in Daura, Katsina State, when he received some governors of the All Progressives Congress, legislators, and other political leaders at his residence.
He enjoined the lecturers to reconsider their stance on the prolonged strike, noting that the crisis would have generational consequences for families, the educational system, and the future development of the country.
“I hope that ASUU will sympathise with the people on the prolonged strike. Truly, enough is enough for keeping students at home. Don’t hurt the next generation for goodness sake.
“Students from Nigerian universities will be faced with the challenge of competing with others in a highly connected and technology-driven work space, and keeping them at home only deprives them of time, skill and opportunities to be relevant on the global stage.
“Colonial type education was geared towards producing workers in government. Those jobs are no longer there. Our young people should get education to prepare them for self-employment. Now education is for the sake of education. Through technology we are much more efficient. We should encourage our children to get education, not only to look for government jobs.” He said.

After the video was shared online, tens of thousands of comments have trailed the young man with majority of them lambasting him for not only organising a party because of a much lusted-after lady but also requiring a ridiculous amount of money to be a part of it.
Most are of the opinion that Kelly is not “all that” that a whopping sum of N100k would be required to see her. Alhough the young man mentioned that as of the time he filmed the now viral video, about 17 people had already shown interest in being a part of the party.

In other news, British High Commissioner to Nigeria, Catriona Laing, has noted that her country would have been struggling if they had only one of Nigeria’s problems.
Laing who said this in Port Harcourt on her maiden visit to Rivers State, advised that the ideal candidates for the 2023 Nigerian presidential elections should be youths with females as the Vice Presidential candidates.
Speaking further she revealed that the UK government would deny visas to Nigerians who incite violence and want to disrupt 2023 elections.
Her words,
“I do have some sympathy for Nigeria because if we as UK have one of these problems your country is having today, we will be struggling. Here, you deal with everything, from insurgency to kidnapping, to piracy off the Gulf of Guinea and you don’t have such a large army and police force for a country of this size.
“The only way you turn this thing around is that government has to build the trust of its people, to have the people working with the government to deal with criminality. That’s how successful anti-criminal operations work.
“People willingly report those committing crime, working with police to identify criminals, same with the military on the insurgency situation. It’s only when the community is on the side of the police and security services that they can turn around the situation.
“2023 is not alright. What happens in the elections is very crucial, not just for Nigeria, but Africa to the world. You (Nigeria) are a large democracy.
“It doesn’t have to be a perfect election. There would be problems, but we want it to be better than the last one. We want it to be secure, peaceful, the process should be run well, and you need to get people to register.
“My ideal candidates would be two younger presidential candidates, both with female vice presidential candidates.
“It is essential that there’s a peaceful election in Rivers State. It’s going to be a crucial part of his (Wike) legacy, how the election goes in this state. We’ve been saying the same thing to Amaechi.
“Another thing we will be doing is to remind people that if people do incite violence or act violently, we will be prepared to deny them visas to the UK. We will make that statement clear and say it over again.”

Popular actor, Yomi Fabiyi has finally broken his silence after several malicious allegations were levied against him by his babymama, actress Amarachi Grace.

Nigerian singer, Osayamwen Donald popularly known as Djinee, has said having money doesn’t increase the quality of one’s life in Nigeria.
The ‘Ego’ crooner took to Twitter to share a think piece about the terrible state of the nation on Sunday, June 10, after spending endless hours in traffic.
According to him, Nigeria is not working and anyone who says otherwise is a fool.
Read his full post below,
“I can finally tweet this. Fri/Sat, I was out for 16hrs. 9 of those were spent in traffic. 4hrs to the location & 5hrs back. “Back” wasn’t even home cos i had to find shelter @ a friend’s. Couldn’t drive any longer. And some people experience this everyday. This is not life.
You have to possess a higher level of reasoning to know that money doesn’t increase your quality of life in naija. In that traffic, there were benzes & ranges, all as frustrated as everyone else in traffic. All of us losing productive time. Our health collectively taking a hit!
I asked myself how long I can take this. The first night, I was still in traffic at midnight. Finally out of it, driving in pitch black darkness still on terrible roads in the rain fearing for my safety because this is naija, this is Lagos!
This is no political tweet. Lagos is not working. Nigeria is not working. Ask those that have to scoop flood water from their houses, replace car engines. Ask the families in Owo, Borno, Adamawa, Kaduna etc who like their counterparts in the east have lost thousands to terrorism.
Lagos has become so capitalist that there has been no thought given to proper urban planning. Just keep selling! Fuel stations jostling for space with residential houses on tiny roads. Dangote refinary built & half the road leading to it is a mess. Agbero is normal. A mega city!
Our bar of success has been set so low. That’s why we’ll see all these & more & applaud. Either that or we’re plain stupid. Or worse still, our hunger has left our brains comatose, so we’ll prefer the crumbs they (politicians) pacify us with than seek a total change!
In the land of the blind, the one eyed man is king. You need to legally travel out to see what it means to have a quality life for less. If you’re well travelled & you still see the mess here as normal & support the administrators of this anomaly, then you are the biggest PHOOL!”

Kwaku Bonsam, a popular Ghanaian-born native doctor, has expressed his thoughts on the Christian God.
Speaking in a recent interview on Wontumi Radio, Bonsam said the Christian God is too slow and doesn’t punish evildoers instantly.
He claims that while God is kind and tolerant with many things, the lesser gods are not, and thus they swiftly punish evil.
In his words,
“Somebody has bought a phone, he places it down to go and give offertory; By the time the person returns, the phone has been stolen. If someone exhibits such conduct in the shrine, the gods will kill the person but God is patient and lenient with a lot of things. He will watch you do it and by the time He is repaying you it will be of less effect. The lesser gods do not have such patience.
“I am following the footsteps of ‘Kofi oo Kofi’. That is what will lead me to Christ. I am following the footsteps of ‘Kofi oo Kofi’ and meeting ‘God’. I don’t believe in Jesus. Jesus is somebody’s child. Where was Jesus born? Bethlehem is on earth here. ‘Kofi oo Kofi’ is a spirit.
