A young lady has cried out to veteran Nollywood actor Kenneth Aguba to marry her.
This comes after the Nollywood star was gifted a fully furnished apartment by the General Overseer of OPM, Apostle Chibuzor Chinyere, after multiple reports claimed that he was homeless.

President Muhammadu Buhari has averred that Nigerians are a bundle of contradictions as they exhibit outward religiosity without a true fear of God.
The president, who stated this in his Eid-el-Kabir message to the nation on Friday, said “if we were putting the teachings of our religions into practice, most of the evils afflicting our society would have been solved.”
He urged Nigerians to put the interests of the country above selfish interests and use religion as a motivation for the love of our common humanity.
According to the President, religion shouldn’t just be used as a mere badge of identity but as a motivator for doing good for the nation.
He further stated that “the exploitation of the people by traders and the stealing of public funds by civil servants and other holders of public trust is a reflection of the abandonment of the teachings of our religions.”

The Ondo state police command has paraded a 22-year-old suspected female kidnapper, Adeola Omoniyi, who specialises in abducting toddlers and selling them to her father.
Adeola, who confessed to the crime while being paraded at the Ondo state police headquarters in Akure, revealed she has been kidnapping innocent children and selling each child for N30,000 to her father for the past two years.
She told the police that her father, Ilesanmi Omoniyi, had been taking delivery of the victims and later paying her the sum of N30,000 for each operation.
“I’m a kidnapper. I kidnap little children and I always deliver them to my father in his house at Igbotako. I was successful with the first two children I took but I was caught with the third one.
After delivering the kids to my father, he used to give me N30,000 for each operation. I would use the money to take care of myself. I don’t know what he normally used the children for, all I do is just to take them to him.
He was the one that told me to always bring the children to him. I picked the first child from Ilutitun and the second from Ilowo,” she said.
Recounting how she nabbed, she said;
“It was when I was taking the child away that the mother raised alarm. People gathered to beat me and I was taken to the police station before I was moved to Akure.
I have been doing the business for about two years. The first one was in 2021 and the second one this year. I always offer to help the children when they are alone they will follow me.”
However, upon questioning, Adeola’s father, Ilesanmi denied the crime and insisted that his daughter lied against him.
“My daughter used to stay in Lagos. She got sick and they brought her to me in Igbotako. She was stark naked when they brought her to me. I later took her to a church where the pastor said I should pay N80,000. I sold my cassava and I paid the pastor. He later told me that she is better but few days after he called again that he could not find her as she had left the church.
“I’m the one that she used to bring the kids to. I have never given her N30,000. It was six months after she left the church, we have been looking for her that I heard that she went to steal a child”. He said.
The state’s police spokesperson, SP Funmi Odunlami, disclosed that the suspects will be charged to court after the investigation is concluded.
Nigerian gay rights activist, Bisi Alimi has shared a throwback video of the Vice Presidential Candidate of Labour Party, Yusuf Datti Baba-Ahmed, calling for the killing of members of the LGBTQ community.
The former Senator made this call in 2014 when the anti-gay bill was being deliberated on in the House of Representative.
He spoke in favour of the bill that was passed by President Goodluck Jonathan’s administration in January 2014.
At the time, he said “such elements” referring to LGBTQ members should be “killed” for being gay.
Following the announcement of him being the running mate of Labour Party’s Presidential Candidate, Peter Obi, netizens have dug up a video of him making the call against homosexuals back in 2014.
Reacting to the video, Bisi Alimi, a popular gay rights activist, took to Twitter to call on Labour Party to address the controversial statement.
He wrote,
“This is the potential Vice President of Nigeria, he is in record here advocating that “such elements should be killed”, the elements he mentioned in the video are LGBTQI people. We need to talk about this.
Here is the statement! One thing is to have ideological difference and express that, another is to call for the killing of fellow humans. I am giving the @PeterObi and @NgLabour the chance to make a statement on this… not that we will ever get any.”
President Buhari observed his Sallah prayers at the Eid ground in his country home, Daura, in Katsina State, today, July 9, and a large crowd of residents turned out to cheer and greet him as he walked back to his residence.
The president had arrived Daura for the Eid-el- Kabir, on Friday evening, July 8.
Buhari had earlier arrived the Umaru Musa Yar’Adua International Airport, Katsina, from where he was flown to his hometown in a helicopter.
He landed at Daura just before six in the evening to the enthusiastic welcome of the Emir, Alhaji Faruq Umar, and other significant figures in the town.

In other news, the Federal Government has released the names and pictures of the 64 Boko Haram terrorists who escaped from Kuje Medium Security Custodial Centre in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.
It would be recalled that on Tuesday night, July 5, gunmen said to be Boko Haram terrorists stormed the Prison using explosives and guns, and released some of the inmates.
Out of the 994 prisoners being held at the correctional facility, 879 fled the prison including 64 high-profile Boko Haram terrorists.
It was gathered that it was a coordinated attack by the terrorist group to release their embattled colleagues being held in the facility.
The Nigerian Correctional Service have now declared wanted all the 64 Boko Haram terrorists who escaped. Their personal information was released by the Service Public Relations Officer, Abubakar Umar, on Friday July 8.

Rev. (Mrs) Daniel Umaru, the wife of the pastor in charge of YN Church, Mubi, Adamawa state, Rev. Daniel Umaru, has said she has forgiven the killers of her two sons and accepted their death as the will of God.
It would be recalled that on Tuesday, July 5, gunmen attacked the residence of the clergyman in Mubi Local Government Area of the state and killed his two sons, Kefrey Daniel (19) and Fanye Daniel (23).
They kidnapped his 13-year-old daughter, Ijagla, and shot the clergyman in the leg and is currently receiving treatment in a hospital.
In a new development, the deceased sons of the clergyman has been laid to rest on Friday, July 8, at EYN Headquarters in Kwarhi Maararba, Hong Local Government Area of the state.
During the burial, Rev. (Mrs) Daniel Umaru said she has forgiven those who killed her sons and abducted her daughter.
“I have forgiven those behind this killings and abduction”. Also, I have accepted the will of God,” she said.

Men of the Kano State Police Command have arrested an 18-year-old suspect, Sadiq Isma’il, for burglary and theft of 16 Plasma TV sets.
Sadiq was said to have broken into a shop at Sharada Quarters and carted away sixteen Plasma TV sets worth N1.2 million which he sold for N350,000 to one Abdullahi Muktar.
Following a complaint by the shop owner, the police launched a discrete investigation which led to the arrest of Sadiq and Abdullahi at a hotel.
Upon interrogation, Sadiq confessed to stealing the TV sets and using part of the proceed to lodge in a hotel with his girlfriend.
Meanwhile the police have recovered eleven out of the sixteen stolen TVs.
The Spokesperson of the command, SP Abdullahi Kiyawa Haruna, who confirmed the incident in a statement wrote,
“On 22/06/2022 at about 0800hrs, a report was received from a resident of Sharada Quarters Kano that, on the same date, he went to his shop located at Sharada Quarters Kano, and discovered that unknown hoodlum(s) broke the window of his shop and stole sixteen (16) Plasma TV (32 inches each) valued One Million, Two Hundred Thousand Naira (N1,200,000:00), at Seventy Five Thousand Naira (N75,000:00) each,” he stated.
“On receipt of the complaint, the Commissioner of Police, Kano State Command, CP Sama’ila Shu’aibu Dikko, fsi raised and instructed a team of Detectives led by SP Abdulrahim Adamu, Divisional Police Officer (DPO) Sharada Division to trace and arrest the perpetrator(s). The team immediately swung into action.
“Sustained intelligence-led follow-up resulted in the arrest of the principal suspect, Sadiq Isma’il, ‘m’, 18 years old, of Rijiyar Lemo Quarters Kano, at a Hotel in Nassarawa LGA, Kano State where he lodged. On preliminary investigation, the suspect confessed that he singlehandedly went to the shop around 2300hrs of 21/06/2022, broke the window and made away with the sixteen (16) Plasma TVs.
“He further confessed that he sold all the sixteen(16) Plasma TVs at Three Hundred and Fifty Thousand Naira (N350,000:00), at Twenty One Thousand, Eight Hundred and Seventy-Five Naira (N21,875:00) each, where he used part of the money to lodge in a hotel with his girlfriend.
“Discreet investigation led to the arrest of the receiver, one Abdullahi Muktar, ‘m’, 20 years old of Gama Quarters Kano at the same hotel with the principal suspect. He led to the recovery of eleven (11) of the stolen Plasma TVs from the Kano and Bauchi States.”
The Commissioner of Police have directed further investigation into the case after which the suspects will be charged to court.
Former Presidential aide,Reno Omokri has taken to social media to cry out after allegedly being threatened by supporters of the presidential candidate of the Labour party, Peter Obi.
The social media commentator in a post shared on his Instagram page said Peter Obi should be held responsible if anything happens to him, his wife, children or siblings.
This comes after ‘OBI-dients’ started an online petition to ban his Twitter account over claims that he uses his platform to post tweets that can cause ethnic and religious crisis between Hausas and Igbos.

Veteran Nollywood actor, Pete Edochie’s son, Uche Edochie, has taken to social media to react to alleged reports of his father’s death.
This comes after rumors started peddling on social media that the 75-year-old actor had died in a fatal car accident.
Reacting to the rumor, Uche took to his Instagram page to debunk the news while stating that his father is hale and hearty.

A TikToker and former flight attendant with the handle @hocusbogus2.0 claims to have seen influencers and models talking about participating in the extremely weird practice – first hand. The influencers are reportedly given free flights to Dubai and exclusive treatment and in exchange they are made to endure all manner of dehumanising activities, like being urinated on or eating human or camel poo.

The young lady took to a market place with an empty bucket and placed it on her head to make any of her victim think that the bucket was full.
The prankster who then spotted a soldier who was walking towards her, approached him and asked him to help her bring it down.
Being a gentlemen, he decided to assist the young lady only to find out that there was nothing heavy in the bucket. The soldier then playfully tried to smack her when he realized it was a prank but she smiled and handed him a pack of snacks.

A Nigerian man took his girlfriend by surprise after he took her to a POS shop and made the rarest gesture.
The gentleman handed over his ATM card to his babe, shared his PIN with her and told her to withdraw whatever amount she wants.
The young lady, who gazed at him, at first thought he was pulling her legs and laughed it off, but showing how serious he was, he gave her his PIN and told her to withdraw whatever would be enough to make her hair.
The lady is heard saying she would like to withdraw N25,000 and she proceeded to punch in the pin on the POS machine.
A little boy who hawks sachet (pure) water was recorded saying he’ll rather become a lawyer than delve into internet fraud “Yahoo Yahoo” because it is a vile act that’s capable of spoiling his life.
The little boy was interviewed by some adults who asked him whether he would consider doing “yahoo yahoo” to help his family.
The young lad then revealed that he would not like to go into internet fraud, however if he ever finds himself doing it due to hardship, he only would just be involved in the regular yahoo yahoo.
The young man shared that he would rather not go into Yahoo Plus because that will require him to use a family member to make money.
The adults who interviewed him then decided to ask what he wants to be in life when he grows up, and he responded saying he wants to be a lawyer who will make money through the profession.
In massive contrast to this young kid, the video of a group of little boys said to be around the ages of 14 to 15 and were “stranded” but looking for a place to learn yahoo-yahoo (online fraud) shook the internet at the time it was shared earlier this year.
The young men in the video were being queried by a man whose gate they knocked on in an area in Edo state. The lads who are around the ages of 14 to 15, told the man who queried them that they “want to hustle”, which they later clarified to mean yahoo-yahoo (online fraud) and not yahoo plus (online fraud+rituals).
The little boys went on to reveal that they were sent out from where they were staying. When asked about their parents, they said their parents are in Delta state. They also claimed their parents know they are in Edo state.
The Limpopo High Court, Polokwane, South Africa, has sentenced three members of a gang known as “Boko Haram” to a total jail term of 384 years.
The convicts, identified as Ndou Lukase Rembuluwani and Ndou Ben (both 29) and Khoza Ngobeni Small (28), were convicted for a series of crimes they committed between September and October 2017.
After being found guilty on a total of 25 charges against them, they were sentenced to prison on Tuesday.
The charges included murder, attempted murder, possession of an unlicensed firearm and ammunition, and housebreaking with the intention of robbing. Other counts bordered on theft, robbery, and malicious damage to property, The Citizen reports.
The trio were also convicted of contravening immigration laws for being in South Africa illegally.
The gang was among criminals who harassed Polokwane municipality villages under the appellation “Boko Haram.”
They attacked teachers at their residential house in Westenburg and stole laptops, television sets and phones on October 9, 2017, nine days after they robbed Magezi Football Club players of their phones, soccer kits, shoes and clothes.
In other news, the Federal Government has released the names and pictures of the 64 Boko Haram terrorists who escaped from Kuje Medium Security Custodial Centre in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.
It would be recalled that on Tuesday night, July 5, gunmen said to be Boko Haram terrorists stormed the Prison using explosives and guns, and released some of the inmates.
Out of the 994 prisoners being held at the correctional facility, 879 fled the prison including 64 high-profile Boko Haram terrorists.
It was gathered that it was a coordinated attack by the terrorist group to release their embattled colleagues being held in the facility.
The Nigerian Correctional Service have now declared wanted all the 64 Boko Haram terrorists who escaped.
Their personal information was released by the Service Public Relations Officer, Abubakar Umar, on Friday July 8.

The spokesman of the Nigerian Correctional Service, AD Umar, who confirmed the incident said,
“I wish to confirm that about 2200hrs, some yet-to-be-identified gunmen attacked the Medium Security Custodial Centre, Kuje in the Federal Capital Territory.
However, men of the Armed Squad of the Nigerian Correctional Service and other security agencies attached to the Custodial centre have responded and calm has been restored to the facility and the situation is under control.”
