Ugandan marriage counsellor, Zaituni Kakyama, has advised women against giving their husbands money because it would make them lazy.
According to her, even if a woman can assist her husband financially, she should never do so as it would make him too comfortable.
Kakyama added that God specially designed women to crave for more than they need, in terms of clothes, shoes and other material things, so that their men can buckle down and work hard.
Speaking further, the counsellor advised men to let their women spend their money so they can be motivated to work hard and strive for move.
However, she told women to always set their egos aside and remain submissive to their spouse, no matter how successful they are.
She added,
“Whether she gets more money than he does, he has to take care of his wife and family as a head.
“I don’t give my man money because when I do, that leads to his destruction when he gets into the comfort zone of being given.
“You find women from such marriages saying their men don’t love them.
Remember how you convinced that woman to marry you, small things matter.”

Former Presidential aide, Reno Omokri has reacted after a Catholic priest announced that he has enforced a “No PVC, No Communion” rule in his parish.
The priest, Fr. Cyriacus Kamai had taken to Twitter to announce the new rule on Thursday, June 2, ahead of the forthcoming general elections in 2023.
However, this didn’t sit well with Reno Omokri who asserted that it’s wrong to politicize something as sacred as the Holy Communion.
According to him, he is sure the Pope would not approve of this rule because the Catholic Church is known to be apolitical.
He wrote,
“But honestly, should we be politicising the Holy Communion? I am not sure the Pope would approve of this. The Catholic Church that I know was a apolitical. If you meet the 5 conditions for receiving the Holy Eucharist, no priest should deny you of partaking in such a sacred rite, even if you have no PVC.
To the best of my knowledge, the five conditions for a professing Catholic to receive the Catholic Holy Communion are:
1. You must be in a state of grace. 2. You must have been to confession since your last mortal sin. 3. You must believe in Church doctrine regarding Transubstantiation. 4. You must observe the Eucharist Fast. 5. You must not have been excommunicated, or otherwise censured by the Catholic Church.
Once you meet the five conditions listed above, why would any priest deny you the right to take Communion because you do not have a PVC?
I am being objective here. I said the same thing when the RCCG set up a political directorate. Before we allow religious organisations push political agendas, we must realise that there are other religions in Nigeria, who have the capacity to play this game. Let us not start what we cannot finish!”
