Finally, Seyi Shay has given some sort of explanation on why she keeps making those mind-boggling slip-ups, and she says it’s all for fun.
Recall that the singer was featured in yet another embarrassing interview where she said, EP stands for ‘Electric Package.’ In January, she pronounced the number ‘two’ as /tuwooh/, and in a new interview with DZPRT, she said the slang Phoneh is drawn from the word ‘Phoney’, not ‘Phonetics’. Yesterday, the ‘Right Now’ singer clapped back at her critics. “While some are busy trying to figure out what EP really means and making me trend for so long,” she wrote, “we are covering papers and making headlines and making MONEEEEYYYY so we can continue this wonderful tour of Africa.”
But that was not enough as she has now returned to finally explain why she keeps making the errors.
In an exchange with fans, Seyi Shay said, “it’s all fun though. It helps to grow us,” and in another comment, she added, “that’s what they wanted to hear, so why no trend with it?”

He was inducted into the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame in 2004, and performed a legendary version of “While My Guitar Gently Weeps” to close the ceremony.
Nigerian University students are known for their usage of certain words exclusively understood by them. Listed are some of those words.
There are many words in mainstream Nigerian English that started out as university student slang words but are now in general use in Nigeria.
In fact, many people don’t recognize these words and their meanings as nonstandard.

7. After one: A girl with one child prior to marriage.
8. Popsy or PMan: An informal word for father.
9. Mumsy: This is the feminine version of “popsy,” which is an informal word for mother.
10. FFF: Friend for food.
11. Swag: This is a pompous manner of walking intended to impress others.
12. Aristo: Married men that like young girls.
13. Runs: It generally tends to be used to denote illegal or immoral activities.
14. Jambite: This refers to a first-year undergraduate.

Seven final-year engineering students of Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, Anambra State, designed and constructed a mini bus from scratch with locally sourced materials.
The group, known as the Autozik Group, was made up of six males and a female including Callistus Ezeigwe, Victor Obinani, Ifeanyi Ezeanolue, Ogbu Ikenna, Fidelis Ominigbo, Nnamdi Nwobodo and Chinaza Okoro, was supervised by the then Head of Mechanical Engineering department, Dr. C.H. Achebe.
“We made the mini bus using mere hand tools. This means we did all of the constructions and folding, with our hands, since the university could not provide us with ground equipment, as used in most automobile companies,” said Ezeugwu.
The mini bus which took about five months to complete, has a beautiful finishing so that people find it difficult to believe it was made in Nigeria.

A heart and kidney transplant patient has been killed in an ambulance horror crash – just hours after undergoing the life-saving operation.
James Larson, 36, was being transported to a rehabilitation facility yesterday after awaking from the long-awaited surgery at a nearby hospital.
But as the ambulance he was in traveled down a highway, it slammed into an overpass, killing him and the driver. At the time of the tragedy, Mr Larson was being driven from Mount Sinai Hospital to Holly Patterson Extended Care Facility in Uniondale to recover from his operation.
It was the first time he had left the hospital in 15 months, his grief-stricken relatives told Newsday.

A mother apparently dumped her two-day-old baby in a trash can at a refuse dump in a town in Cameroon. The baby was found alive in the refuse dump two days after.
According to information, the baby girl who still had her placenta, was placed under some pile of rubbish and left to die but help came her way when some garbage collectors discovered her and alerted security officials.
The poor child was immediately rushed to a hospital where she was nurtured back and is now looking quite healthy.

A 34-year-old suspect, Ibrahim Abudulamdi, paraded, yesterday, by the Lagos State Police Command, said he is not a robber, but goes to bank to steal after studying the environment.
“I am not a robber, I go into banks to steal, not to rob. When I get there I pretend that I want to lodge some money. For instance, when I went into FCMB to withdraw money, I went straight to the bulk room after monitoring the environment carefully, I saw some money and I collected it.
“I collected N1.2 million, it was this year that I went there. I didn’t go there with a pistol. I succeeded in stealing from the bank because the bank operatives were careless. I went into the bulk room and picked the money, I am not a robber. There was nobody there, I am telling you exactly what happened.
But, it was gathered that Ibrahim went to the bank with a Ghana-must-go bag pretending he wanted to deposit money. Later he allegedly took a gun from the bag and attacked the cashier.

A man, Mr. Femi Oguntunwase, and his wife, Modupe, were found dead in their house in the new site area of Oba Ile town in the Akure North Local Government Area of Ondo State.
A source in the town said the cause of the death of the couple had yet to be known, adding that their lifeless bodies were found on the floor of the sitting room of their apartment on Saturday…
The source said the husband was on the ground naked, while the wife was also on the floor in a T-shirt and a wrapper with a bottle of palm oil beside them.
A resident of the area, who identified himself only as Seluwa, said the couple was seen in the morning of the day, adding that neighbours were surprised to find them dead in the afternoon.
She said:
“We saw the husband in the morning, but in the afternoon, they were found dead.”
She explained that a bowl of pap and some akara balls were seen beside the deceased, which showed that they died after taking their breakfast.
It was gathered that when the neighbours entered into the apartment, palm oil was inside the deceased’s mouths, which indicated that they might have eaten poison and drunk palm oil to suppress it.
“There was palm oil in their mouths. It may be when they were having stomach pain that they drank the palm oil. We also discovered that the death happened after their breakfast.”
When contacted on the telephone on Wednesday, the Public Relations Officer of the state police command, Mr. Femi Joseph, confirmed the incident, saying the remains of the deceased had been deposited at the Ondo State Specialists Hospital, Akure, the state capital.
He said the command had not made any arrest on the incident because it had not been established that the couple were killed.
He said:
“We got the report of the incident on Saturday and we are still investigating to get to the cause of the death. The bodies have been deposited at the hospital for autopsy; it is after the autopsy that we will know the next step to take.”

Heartbreaking footage shows a mass child marriage ceremony where girls as young as five were forced to wed older grooms.
Most of the girls were crying but in one distressing clip, a 10-year-old girl weeps uncontrollably as she holds the hand of her teenage partner.
The girl has her head covered with a fuschia-coloured scarf and is span round by her father and another man as she desperately pleads for help.
The footage was recorded over the weekend in Chittorgarh, a city in Rajasthan, northern India, a state in the country that is prevalent for child marriages.
In another clip a faith leader – conducting the Hindu ritual – is also seen scolding the children for crying.
One of the child brides, a five-year-old girl is crying loudly but a man forces her to complete the Hindu wedding ritual, which involves walking around the fire seven times.
The identities of the others in the footage are yet to be confirmed by police, who have already registered a case against the several families that forced their children to marry but all are currently on the run and in hiding.
District Magistrate of Chittorgarh, Ved Prakash, said:
“As soon as we came to know about these incidents we sent teams out to find the culprits.
“Once they are caught the marriages of their children will be void and the court will decide strict action against them.
“We have stopped several child marriages in the past but at times, fearing police, the villagers opt for a secretive venue which may be outside their district or village.
“Many do not report the incident to police even in fear of the social pressures.”
