Nollywood actor, Gbenro Ajibade has lamented bitterly after immigration authorities confiscated his N50k worth of Kilishi at the airport.

Taking to his Instastory on Saturday, July 2, the Atlanta-based actor who seemed to be returning to the US from Nigeria, disclosed that they took his kilishi because the United States has banned all forms of meat coming from Africa.

He wrote,

“They took all my kilishi at the airport!!!

Dear friends kilishi, dambo nama and all forms of meat has been banned from the United States coming in from AFRICA! They just took my 50k worth of kilishi. EVERYTHING!!!”

In December 2019, Gbenro Ajibade revealed that his marriage to Osas Ighodaro has been annulled.

The Actor was a guest on Rubbin’ minds, a Channels TV programme, with Ebuka.. and he revealed on the show that he and his, ‘now ex-wife’ are currently divorced and they are co-parenting their only child.

Remember in February 2019, Gbenro Ajibade called out Osas, accusing her of neglecting their child multiple times.

A couple who went viral for getting married after they caught the garter and bouquet at a wedding have gotten divorced after only two years.

In May 2020, the bride with handle @MalibuDarby took to Twitter to announce that she has gotten married to a man she met at a wedding in 2015.

According to her, they hit it off after she caught the bouquet and her partner who was a stranger at the time, caught the garter.

She shared a picture from the 2015 wedding and a picture from their wedding and wrote,

“5 years ago today some stranger caught the garter and I caught the bouquet. Now he’s my husbanddddd. 5/23/2015”

The post quickly went viral on the micro-blogging site and garnered over five hundred thousand reactions from netizens.

Well, in a rather sad development, the couple have now gotten divorced after only two years of being married.

Malibu took to Twitter to share the update on Friday, July 1, and disclosed that it was her husband’s fault.

A man has shared the heartbreaking story of how his wife maltreated him when he took a break from work to pursue a Masters degree.

The man shared his story anonymously while reacting to a tweet that advised men to never be dependent on their wives or girlfriends.

@morris_monye took to Twitter to give this advice in a seeming reaction to the controversy that trailed the separation of award-winning actress, Funke Akindele from her husband, rapper JJC Skillz.

It would be recalled that JJC Skillz disclosed that he was sent packing from their matrimonial home by the actress. Following which netizens claimed that the house belongs to Funke and JJC moved in with her after the wedding.

Former Senator, Dino Melaye, has stated that PDP presidential flagbearer, Atiku Abubakar, is the best person to become the President of Nigeria.

Speaking in a video shared on his social media page on Friday, July 1, Dino said Atiku has married women from the three major ethnic groups in Nigeria – Igbo, Hausa and Yoruba – which makes him a pan-Nigerian and the best person to bring unity to Nigeria.

He further stated that it’s not yet time for Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, to become President and he should wait for his turn.

The former lawmaker said in part,

It would be recalled that in January 2022, the story of the young man changed for the better after he was filmed handing out money to prisoners being transported in a truck along Ajah Axis of Lagos.

A Nigerian couple identified as Samuel and Joy Olorunfemi have been blessed with a set of twins, a boy and girl, in June, 2022, after waiting 14 years for the fruit of the womb.

Joy’s brother, Ohimai Abraham took to his social media page to share the good news and also share photos of the proud parents.

“IT’S LIKE A DREAM. Where do I even start from? “This woman you see here is my immediate elder sister. She was married and trusting God for the fruit of the womb since 2008.”

It has been 14 solid years of trials, temptations, mockery, disappointment, weeping, crying and dispair.

Men thought they had the final say throughout these 14 years. But Yahweh who rememberd Sarah has proven to men that Him and Him alone have the final say. He proved Himself in our lives by settling my darling sister with a balanced set of twins (a boy and a girl).

The young lady identified as @Grace_Africa on Tiktok, has over 1.3 million followers on the video-sharing platform where she posts funny videos.

She decided to throw a meet and greet event to meet some of her followers but sadly nobody deemed it fit to show up.

Nollywood actress, Toyin Abraham, has finally broken her silence and reacted to rumours that her marriage to actor Kolawole Ajeyemi is on the verge of collapse.

Reports had emerged on Thursday, June 30 that the couple were having a rough patch in their relationship after Instagram blogger, Gistlover, alleged that Kolawole had opened up to a friend about being unhappy in his marriage.

This claim by Gistlover stirred concern from fans of the celebrity couple, especially since it came after rapper JJC Skillz announced the end of his marriage to popular actress Funke Akindele.

Toyin’s management team, however, debunked the rumour in a statement released on their official social media page on Friday morning, July 1, but trust some fans to still want to hear from the horse’s mouth.

A Chinese father was reduced to tears after the son he tutored daily for one year scored 6 out of 100 on a math exam.

The father who resides in Zhengzhou, Henan Province, received his son’s exam result on Thursday, June 23, and was filled with disappointment after seeing his math score.

A video trending in the Chinese cyberspace shows the father weeping uncontrollably upon seeing that his son scored only six points out of 100 in Math.

He could be seen crying in a bedroom and wiping his tears while his wife could be heard laughing in the background.

“I don’t care anymore, my efforts are wasted, let him struggle by himself!” the father was quoted as saying.

According to the child’s mother, her husband taught their son math for hours every single day for the past one year and his result really broke his heart.

She said he was mainly disappointed because their son has been failing consistently in school and has been scoring between 40-50 points in previous examinations.

In the video, the distraught woman who sells second-hand clothes also known as Okrika, could be seen crying uncontrollably as she checked the clothes in the bale.

According to her, she borrowed the money used in buying the bale and now she’s left with nothing because she can’t sell the rags.

A talented Nigerian dancer identified as Solo Jackson has been shot dead by yet-to-be identified gunmen in Imo state.

The young man was reportedly traveling from Abuja to Aba, Abia state, when his vehicle was attacked on Wednesday, June 29.

Jackson was shot in the head and was rushed to the hospital, but gave up the ghost on Thursday, June 30.

It was gathered that three other people were also shot in the attack along Okigwe Road in the Okigwe Local Government Area of the state.

Nigerians on social media have sent their prayers and well wishes to popular actress, Kemi Afolabi, as she begins her Lupus treatment in a US hospital.

This comes three months after the actress opened up on her battle with the disease and disclosed that doctors told her she has five years to live out of which she has lived one year.

Lupus is a disease that occurs when your body’s immune system attacks your own tissues and organs.

Following the sad revelation, it was alleged that Kemi went to Christ Embassy Church in Lagos to be healed, and a purported picture of a woman said to the actress being ministered to by Pastor Chris Oyakhilome was shared online to support the claim.

However, the 44-year-old actress came out to debunk the report while stating that she is a devout Muslim and didn’t visit any church for prayers. She further dismissed claims of being the woman in the viral picture.

In a new development, Kemi has begun treatment for the life threatening disease in a hospital in the United States.

She took to her Instagram page to share the update on Friday, July 1, and appreciated the good Samaritans who made it possible for her to begin treatment.

Sharing a montage, she wrote,

“I commence my lupus treatment journey today 06/30/2022 with @hopkinsmedicine ALIHAMDULILAH 🙏

Some beautiful souls made this happen, God bless you all🙏❤️ wish me luck🙏”

A serving corps member in Rivers State, Love Baadom, has taken to social media to share beautiful photos of herself in her uniform while hailing herself.

The Rivers State University alumna shared photos of herself on parade with her colleagues and boasted that, despite her physique, “What others can do, she can do better.”

“Corper Wee….Waah. Today is my CDC (NEMA) at Port Harcourt City Local Government Council. What others can do, I can do better. I walked boldly to achieve what I want. Bright future.” She wrote.

According to the young lady who desired to be a professional footballer, she grew up playing football and always dreamt of playing at the highest level, but her disability ruined her dreams.

Afrimax English revealed the young lady was diagnosed with “shortness” and this rare condition was an hindrance in achieving her dreams.

It was gathered that she started school late because she had to wait for a long time to start walking and for her legs to grow longer a bit.

The lady stated that people usually doubt her age and find it difficult to believe she’s a girl, according to her, people usually mistake her for a boy because of her stature.

Popular Nollywood actress, Toyin Abraham’s husband, Kolawole Ajeyemi, has shared a video of them dancing to dispel the marriage crisis rumors.

It would be recalled that following reports that Funke Akindele’s marriage to JJC Skillz has crashed, rumor had it that Toyin’s marriage is also turbulent and on the verge of collapse.

Controversial blogger, Gist Lover, also alleged that the actress’ husband, Kola, is unhappy in their marriage because Toyin barely sleeps in their matrimonial home.

However, Toyin’s management team has earlier debunked the rumour in a statement released on their official social media page on Friday morning, July 1, while also assuring the public that all is well in their marriage.

The statement reads,

“We just saw a report of an ‘untrue’ and alleged ‘shaky’ marriage of our talent, Toyin Abraham and her Nollywood star husband, Kola Ajeyemi. Often time, people say there is no smoke without fire, but this time around we assure all fans of Toyin and Kola Ajeyemi that there was no smoke talk less of fire.

This story is not true. Toyin has not slept out in months except for location or when she’s out of town for job. Most often than not, she and her husband holiday together both within and outside Nigeria.

We also acknowledge concern that people have shown regarding the marriage and prayers that God will sustain. We thank you and appreciate the concern. But we assure them that the marriage is intact, not shaky and all is well”.

Well, it might seem as though the celebrity couple thought the statement was not enough to silence the naysayers as Kolawole took to his IG page to share a video of them dancing with his daughter, Temitope.

He further captioned the video with a popular Bible verse used to pray for God’s covering and protection – Psalms 91:1-16.

Reality TV star and actress, Tega, has stated that she would rather stay single than endure a marriage without mutual respect and understanding.

The mother of one, who recently revealed she and her husband, Ajeboh, had called it quits since 2020, stated this in an Instagram post following news of actress Funke Akindele’s marriage crash.

According to Tega, men do not endure in marriage; hence, she would prefer to live a fulfilling single life than put up with an abusive marriage without mutual respect.

Taking to her Insta-stories, she wrote,

“I’d rather have my single life than some of the ndi ‘my marriage will work or is working’ marriage, pls, I am of the 2% that will say no to rubbish.

Its either 100 investment or not, don’t come telling me I should endure, dear woman do not endure (if you like o), if you both aint bringing 100 to the table then gtfo. I can be a fool for u but if I don’t see same, I don go. Mutual respect and understanding its for me thanks”.

In other news, Tega has revealed why she claimed to be married in the house despite being separated before her participation in the reality show.

The mother of one who claimed she was married on the show faced heavy backlash from Nigerians on social media for being involved with fellow reality TV star, Boma. Many tagged her conduct on the show as a disrespect to the institution of marriage.

However, on Thursday night’s episode of the reunion show, Tega explained why she claimed she was married on the show.

According to her, claiming to be married was her strategy for the game.

A heartbreaking video circulating online shows the moment a businesswoman broke down in tears after opening a bale she bought and discovered that it was filled with rags.

In the video, the distraught woman who sells second-hand clothes also known as Okrika, could be seen crying uncontrollably as she checked the clothes in the bale.

According to her, she borrowed the money used in buying the bale and now she’s left with nothing because she can’t sell the rags.

She is heard saying, “God wetin I go do? I no get husband, children dey for school, God where are you”.

Slain Abuja corps member, Stephanie Terungwa laid to rest (Photos)

A female corps member, Stephanie Terungwa, who was abducted and killed in Abuja, has been laid to rest.

The 25-year-old was declared missing after leaving home for her Community Development Service (CDS) in April. She was later found dead, with her body mutilated.

The Commissioner of Police, FCT Command, CP Sunday Babaji, revealed that a female suspect, Jennifer, who was arrested in connection to Stephanie’s murder, conspired with two male suspects to murder the victim so as to be with her partner, Edward Achadu.

The police said Jennifer, who is Edward’s alleged ‘estranged lover,’ poured corrosive substances on Stephanie in a bid to separate her from Edward.

Stephanie was laid to rest in her hometown, Mbakumbur, Mav-Ikyov, in the Ushongo Local Government Area of Benue State on Thursday, June 30.

Man stripped down to his underwear after he entered RCCG Church disguised as a woman

A man was stripped down to his underwear after he was caught disguised as a woman at a branch of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) in Lagos.

It was gathered that the suspected criminal went to the RCCG Solid Rock Chapel in the Ojodu area of Lagos state, in the early hours of Thursday, June 30, dressed as a woman.

A security guard became suspicious of him and moved to confront and search him as part of the security protocols of the church.

While being searched, the security guard discovered that he was a man disguised as a woman and found three phones in his possession.

An eyewitness who gave an account of the incident said,

“He came to church this morning as a woman but our guard suspected him.

“After much talk, they suspected he is not what he claimed to be. The church guard had to undress him before we discovered that he is a man but dressed to church like a woman.

“We don’t know his mission yet but he been handed over to the police.

“We found three phones with him and a lot of things. He also said he is a Yahoo guy and that he has a Facebook account where he deceives people as he disguises as woman.”
