In new interview with HFtv, singer Sean Tizzle finally addressed some of the controversies he has recently been embroiled in, his career and new projects.

On the criticisms he received following his November 2015 tweet, where he said that Omawumi’s cover to Adele’s “Hello” was better than the British singer’s version, Sean Tizzle refuses to apologise for it. “It’s my own opinion which I have a right to,” he said, adding that people can say whatever they want to.
On if he will be returning to Twitter ever again, the singer affirmed that he would, adding that the platform is his ‘home’, and he only left to get work done.
And on the constant accusation that he bleaches, the ‘Abiamo’ singer tried to laugh it off, but finally dismissed the criticism. “I don’t know about all that,” he said, adding that “people could still talk. On Sunday May 22, 2016, founder of the Synagogue Church Of All Nations (SCOAN), TB Joshua, made a series of startling revelations regarding the present state of the nation. According to a statement issued by SOCAN reporter, Ihechukwu Njoku – the man of God claims Nigerians will endure more hardship and hunger strike in thE coming months.

FOOD SCARCITY

On the economic plight Nigerians are facing, Joshua read from his beginning of year prophecies: “The president will do everything to reject devaluation of the naira – which is a good idea from a good leader. Expanding on the ‘valley’, Joshua said: “I explained that we are in a valley but it is not the valley of the shadow of death. There is no snake or scorpion, it’s different. When you are in the valley you will cry and cry but you will still get out of the valley.”
Advising those in the real-estate business he said, “If you are the type planning to build a house now, stop it for the mean time. If you are in the business of buying land, stop it for the mean time – look for another business. Stop it for the mean time until February next year. Use that money on the need of people now.”
Giving a sombre warning, he said, “I’m preparing you. Get ready; lager scale scarcity is coming! You have to continue to cut your coat according to your size. Don’t just continue to spend your money on something that won’t be able to help you. Spend your money on something that the whole world will be looking for – food, shelter.”

The Emir of Kano, Alhaji Muhammadu Sanusi II, Tuesday, strongly kicked against child marriage.
Addressing a conference of Northern Muslims Religious Leaders Forum on Primary Health care in Kano, the former Central Bank Governor explained that the reproductive health challenges associated with such practice was enough to discouraged the age long tradition.
Sanusi said that Nigeria Muslims were ardent followers of Maliki school of thought like Morocco, Malaysia and Egypt, stressing that those brotherly countries had since pegged marriage age.
In his words “I believe the time is ripe to take a stand on this age long practice of early marriage, and coincidentally we subscribed to Malikiyya school of thought like Morocco, Malaysia and Egypt who had since pegged marriage age to 17, 19 and 18 respectively”.
He further condemned some cultural practices that encouraged polygamy, adding that, “some of those who engage in this practice do not have the necessary economic power to support themselves”.
The emir who took his audience through historical lane explained that “in the past, cities like Kano, Katsina, Aghadez, and Timbuktu hold economic power of the Sahel region, and this economic prospect had since shifted to coastal cities around the globe”.
Commenting on wife battery, the emir said that Islam abhors assault on women.
He enjoined those involved in the act to desist from such practice.
He disclosed that “I don’t expect my in-law to lay his hand on my daughter, but I have since urged her to retaliate any form of assault from her husband”.
Popular controversial reality TV show, “I Am Cait” has been yanked from E! Entertainment AirPlay schedule by Multichoice (owners of Dstv) following unending complaints by Nigerians about the show.
According to a statement release issued on Tuesday May 24, they said they are aware of the concerns raised by some of their customers regarding the programme “I Am Cait”, a reality show about Caitlyn Jenner’s – formerly known as Bruce Jenner – transgender journey on E! Entertainment (DStv channel 124 and GOtv channel 26).
Dstv said the decision to pull the show from E! came after an instruction from the National Broadcasting Commission NBC. Apparently, Nigerians complained that the show wasn’t morally good for children.
In lieu of this MultiChoice promised to regularly assess the impact their content has on their customers.

Adanna David, has shared a recent experience she had at a restaurant when tried to breastfeed her 3-month-old son Kian Nnamdi, publicly. Below is what she wrote on her Instagram:
“Moments before David took this candid photo of me nursing Kian at a restaurant, I had the most unfriendly stare from a couple across the table. I’m sure what they meant to say to me was: ‘Did you seriously just whip out your boobs? Here? In public? That’s just rude!’ Of course they didn’t say anything to me because if at all they understood body language, mine said ‘Don’t you dare’
Not too long ago I remember making excuses like: ‘it’s not convenient to breastfeed there’ and I would pump milk to feed Kian from a bottle whenever we were in public.
I’ve had situations where I’ve tried to use large blankets to cover him while nursing, and that almost always ends up in a disaster because he doesn’t like to be covered when he feeds and then he struggles and I end up spraying breast milk all over the both of us. Let’s just say the blanket thing doesn’t work for us.
I’ve had to ask myself recently, what is so unnatural about a mother nursing her child ‘in public’? It’s not like I walk around with my breasts hanging out.
“I’ve not heard of an adult who is hungry and has food in front of him say ‘it’s not convenient for me to eat here’ or ‘I need to be more discrete with this food I’m about to eat’ actually ‘I’m gonna eat this burger under a blanket’ If a woman wishes to bottle feed her child (breastmilk or formula), it should be because she chose to, for her own personal reasons. Not because she’s worried about being harassed when she pulls out her breast to nurse her child in a public place.
“It’s a pity that most people will visually complement a woman with huge breasts and cleavage and yet call a woman nursing in public ‘disgusting’. As much as the right to breastfeed in public is protected by law in most countries, unfortunately nursing mothers are still exposed to both the spoken and unspoken distaste for the sight of a baby with a nipple in their mouth. Seeing something over and over is the best way to normalise it. So I urge every breastfeeding woman to boldly and confidently nurse your child in public if you need to. Be proud. We can change the perception of society one person at a time!”

A two-year-old boy identified as Musa Murtala, who was allegedly tortured by his grandmother and stepmother at their home in Gulu town in the Rimin Gado LGA in Kano state, is currently battling for his life at the Murtala Muhammed Specialist Hospital.
It was gathered that the two suspects allegedly broke the legs and arms of Musa, cut his tongue, removed his eye and private parts.
Nura Idris, the Chief Medical Director of the hospital, disclosed to Punch Metro on Tuesday that it would take some weeks for the victim to recover, adding that he had deep cuts in different parts of his body.
The victim’s father was said to have reported the incident to the Kano State Police Command, which immediately sent men to arrest the suspects, after which the case was transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department.
It was gathered that Musa’s mother left his father after a disagreement which culminated in a divorce. The mother was said to have handed him over to his father, who then put Musa in the care of his grandmother and stepmother. The duo was alleged to have tortured him for reasons yet to be ascertained.
DSP Musa Magaji, the Kano State Police Public Relations Officer, who confirmed the incident, said that the suspects were in custody. “It happened on Friday. The boy’s father came back from work late and when he saw what had happened to the child, he reported to the police.
“He said he divorced the boy’s mother and handed him over to his mother and second wife. He said it was on Friday that he discovered what both his wife and mother had done to his son.
“We took him to the Murtala Muhammed Specialist Hospital. His legs and arms were broken; there was a deep cut on his private parts, he was also not seeing with one eye. Because he is a toddler, there is no way we can ask him what happened,” he said.
Meanwhile, the Chief Medical Director, Murtala Muhammed Specialist Hospital, who spoke with a correspondent on the telephone, said Musa was admitted in the children wing of the female orthopaedic ward, adding that it could take weeks for him to recover from the injuries which were inflicted with a sharp object.
“His tongue, one of his eyes and a part of his private parts were cut. He had fractures of the humerus (upper limbs) and femura (lower limbs). There were lacerations here and there in his body. From the nature of the injuries, those behind the crime used a very sharp object, which could be a blade or knife.
“He had surgeries yesterday (Monday). We did some repairs on him and he’s doing well now. He is a child and his bones are still growing. Fractures for a child will not take long to heal. I am sure in a couple of weeks, he should be okay,” he said.

The Federal Government on Tuesday revealed the cause of tomato scarcity in the country as it said the pest, Tuta absoluta, popularly known as ‘Tomato Ebola’, is responsible for the massive destruction of tomato in farmlands in Nigeria. The destructive pest has so far invaded six states in Nigeria.
Farmers all over the country have been warned to be careful and advised farmers on the management skills to use so as to curb the spread of the pest.
Speaking on the issue, the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Mr. Audu Ogbeh, revealed that the highly reproductive nature of the tomato pest and lack of management knowledge for containment allowed it to spread which led to the destruction of tomato fruits in Jigawa, Kano, Katsina, Kaduna, Plateau and Lagos.
He also stated that the government is already consulting with experts in other find a way out.
He said, “The pest can also attack even pepper and Irish potato. So we are confronting something quite serious. But the good thing is that we are tackling it right now as experts will commence work immediately. We are bringing the commissioners and governors of states to jointly attack this pest, which, if not dealt with, will create serious problems for food security in our country.”
Also, the minister revealed that Nigeria spent huge sums importing substandard tomato paste which affected many in Nigeria.
“We have two processing plants for tomato paste in Nigeria, Erisco and Dangote, and their capacities are huge. We welcome their arrival because our annual import bill of tomato paste is about $400m and it is a good sign that we can now produce here and make money for our farmers.” he said.
Reacting to the recent development, CropLife International, a group of agro-professionals, advocated the use of hazard-based approach rather than a risk-based methodology.
The group also called for the promotion and adoption of relevant biotechnologies in farming activities.

They gave her come excuse about the naira not been complete yet and that they wanted to go get the lots from their own bank before it closes and they would be back. She collected her $6500 naively and was waiting and waiting but they never came back or picked up her call again.
It wasn’t till we got to another mallams place that we knew we’d been duped. So we gave it like a month and decided to trail them and set them up, as God will have it we caught them today cos we told them we wanted to buy dollars about 5000 and the man and his boys showed up as usual with the original 5k and same fake bundles after having me confirm the money from the bank that it was good money they switched it and wanted to collect my money and give me fake.
That’s how we got them. Y’all be careful these scammers are everywhere, they are cruel, evil and heartless….May God protect us all from bad people…Amen!!!! That’s the fake money…looks just like the real deal. Be careful!!!!.”

The Senior Pastor of Champions Royal Assembly, Kubwa, Abuja, Joshua Iginla on Sunday, recently gave out 32 cars out of which were 16 SUVs to celebrate his birthday.
He gave out the cars to Nollywood actors and others.
The pastor’s action has however not gone down well with some Nigerians, one of whom is Freeze.
The OAP took to his Instagram page to air his opinion about the issue.

“How long are Nigerians going to continue being enslaved, under the grossly misinterpreted shackles, of 1st Chronicles chapter 16 verse 22 That states: “[22] Saying , Touch not my anointed, and do my prophets no harm”?
“What is the biblical justification for giving out 32 cars, which in my humble opinion, is such a mentally impoverished act, in a country recently accused of being ‘fantastically corrupt’? The big question is, why did he give the bulk of the SUVs to celebrities? Really?
“In a time when the people who probably provided the funds for this vulgar largesse, by bringing their first fruits to the church in the form of tithe and offering, can barely feed?
“Thankfully, I was in church last Sunday, listening to Pastor Tony Rapu, when he said that people should be careful not to allow men of God lead them away from God, because I was almost certainly going to stop attending church services due to a nasty experience I had with one of my previous pastors, who conducted a marriage ceremony for one of my friend’s estranged husbands, who was still married to her at that time of his new and 3rd wedding.
“As I write this, he hasn’t made a move to get a divorce from his last wife, yet he is ‘happily married’ to a new one. In short, the pastor conducted a polygamous wedding, and I am supposed to iron my clothes and wear my shoes and go there every Sunday to fall under his anointing?
“The bible says judge not and I won’t judge, however, the bible also says in the book of Thessalonians I chapter 5 vs 21 “[21] Prove all things; hold fast that which is good”. According to my personal experience, the pastor that conducted a polygamous marriage was neither proven nor good for my spiritual growth. The same applies to the other one, who gave out cars.
“This was why I reasoned with El Rufai, when he suggested a board be set up, to regulate religious activities, as these folks can dangerously manipulate the minds of their followers. Besides, less religious countries like Sweden or Germany are much better places than Nigeria, so who religion ep?”
