Organizers of the biggest reality TV show on the continent, Big Brother Naija, have announced the start date for the 7th season of the show.
Multichoice Nigeria, via its official social media pages on Tuesday, July 5, revealed that the 7th edition of the show will premiere with two opening ceremonies on the 23rd and 24th of July.
The 7th season of the reality show is scheduled to run for 72 days.
For the seventh season, the winner of the reality show will be going home with a 100 million Naira grand prize, that includes 50 million Naira cash and other exciting prizes.

When the blindfold was removed from his eyes and he saw the car, he initially did not believe the car was his and just stared in disbelief until his girlfriend handed him the car key and told him she bought him the Range Rover.

Popular Nigerian singer, Paul Okoye, has lamented the state of the nation.
The singer, who took to his Twitter handle on Tuesday, July 5 to share his thoughts on the state of things in the country, said Nigeria is totally backward.
According to him, the only things progressing in Nigeria are music and entertainment, because the government is not in control.
“Nigeria is totally backward. the only thing moving forward is music/entertainment. Imagine the only thing that is moving forward in Nigeria is something that the government are not in control of #music”, his tweet read.
Meanwhile, President Muhammadu Buhari has warned that a group of Nigerians is out to destabilise the country.
The president who stated this at an Iftar dinner with governors, ministers, and heads of agencie urged all Nigerians to rise up and resist them.
He maintained that the country will succeed despite present security concerns. He went on to say that he had benefited from free, fair, and credible elections, and that the adoption of technology and the Permanent Voters Card would make it impossible for anybody in the nation to claim millions of votes again.

Land of Hope nurse, Rose, stayed in the hospital with Solomon for a very long period. He was in a critical condition and I quickly started a fundraiser so we could pay for all his medical treatments.
“I think the picture of Solomon when he was found speaks for itself. So inhumane and pathetic. Solomon was accused of being a witch, outcasted by the community and he was literally dying when we found him. Today, 5 years after his rescue, Solomon is strong and healthy. Solomon is very calm and polite. I don´t think I can remember a time where he has been in any kind of trouble in school or with the other children at Land of Hope. Viral TikTok Couple – Cheryl, 61, and her husband, Quran McCain, 24, have revealed plans to spend up to £120,000 on a surrogate to have a baby together.
The couple became an internet sensation in 2021 after sharing details of their relationship on video-sharing platform, TikTok, and in no time amassed over 2.3 million followers on their official account.
Quran, a social media influencer and Onlyfans Model, and Cheryl, a cashier and also an OnlyFans model, got married in September 2021 and have now decided to have a child together.

A man has raised alarm after he saw a partially collapsed building in Lekki, Lagos state, being worked on by builders.
The man speaking in a video shared on social media explained that a part of the building collapsed some days ago yet bricklayers are still working on the faulty structure.
According to him, the building needs to be demolished with immediately alacrity in order to prevent a total collapse that would lead to loss of lives in the future.
He then called on the appropriate authorities to visit the place to call the owner of the building to order.
The concerned resident said,
“This building partially collapsed some days ago. Now, instead of alerting the authorities, they’re trying to fix it themselves.
“This building is supposed to be brought down and not this thing they’re doing. The authorities need to visit this place.
“This is along Lekki Gardens Phase 4 by General Paint busstop.”

A family of five is lucky to be alive after a trailer rammed into their car along Hill Station Junction, Jos Plateau State on Monday, July 4.
The pastor, his wife, and three children gracefully survived the accident unscathed.
According to the pastor identified as Emmanuel Abu, who took to Facebook to recount how his family narrowly escaped death, they were all in their car when the trailer driving at top speed rammed into them on Monday evening.

A woman was startled when an orangutan kissed and caressed her during a recent visit to a zoo.
Last week, while the woman was at Safari World in Bangkok, the cheeky animal fondled her breasts and even gave her a peck on the cheek as she tried to pose for a picture.
The primate was captured in a video that found its way to the internet groping her breasts and kissing her on the cheek as she tried to pose for a picture.
She was about to take a beautiful tourist photo while she was seated on a swing at the zoo when the cheeky monkey approached her from behind, pawing at her, touching her breasts, and making multiple attempts to peck her on the cheek.

Bobrisky has now reacted to the comments in a video shared on his social media page. He assured fans that he is indeed the owner of the house so he doesn’t need to rush into it.
According to him, he has contracted an interior decorator to furnish the house to his taste and was billed N80 million for the furnishing alone because they would import the furniture.
He further stated that people shouldn’t rush him to move into his own house, while adding that he plans to move in before Christmas in December.

The street hip-hop singer, who rose to prominence after music icon Olamide jumped on his Zazu Zeh track, chose to dine at a local restaurant known as Mama Put. Well, trust them to give him a kingly treat.
In a video that surfaced online, Portable is seen devouring a plate of rice while an elderly woman, guessed to be one of the attendants at the restaurant, fanned him while he ate.
The video, which quickly went viral after being shared online, shows the singer eating and conversing with the food vendor while another woman stands behind him fanning him with a book.
This, however, didn’t sit well with Nigerians who didn’t hesitate to point out what they believe is not morally right in the video.
Reacting, some netizens noted that, as a Yoruba man, it was wrong for the singer to allow the elderly woman to fan him while he ate. They stated that he should have refused even if she had insisted.
