The organizers of Big Brother Naija, BBNaija, has reacted after a housemate in the new edition of the reality show, Eloka Nwamu better known as Eloswag, wore a politically suggestive hoodie in the house.
It would be recalled that on Saturday, July 22, the seventh edition of Big Brother Naija began and 20 housemates were introduced into the house.
Barely a week into the show, the name ‘Eloswag’ started trending on Twitter and it was discovered that he was on the trend table because he wore a hoodie with the inscription ‘Be Obedient and Useful’.
Some netizens asserted that he was indirectly campaigning for the presidential candidate of Labour Party, Peter Obi, and his running mate, Yusuf Datti Baba-Ahmed.
Some supporters of the ‘Obedient movement’ also pledged to support and vote for him whenever he’s up for eviction. Meanwhile, Eloswag is also the first Head of House.
Well, following the uproar that trailed the outfit, TheCableNG contacted an insider within the reality show’s production and he disclosed that Eloswag has been warned against wearing the hoodie again.
According to the source, the show does not permit political or religious discussions among housemates in the house.
“Politicking is prohibited. We encourage the housemates to avoid political or religious discussions and expressions, and the housemate in question has been cautioned,” the source was quoted as saying.

A member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) who vowed to never cut his hair until President Muhammadu Buhari resigns from office has gotten his hair cut after decamping to the ruling party.
The man, identified as Mustapha Zaki Yawuri, who was a devoted member of the main opposition party, PDP, decamped to the All Progressives Congress (APC) on Thursday, July 18, and was warmly received by the party members.
However, they insisted they barb his hair before he becomes an official member of the party.
Photos of the auspicious moment has been shared online and Yawuri, who was holding a broom which is the party symbol of APC, sat with other party members as one of them dug a clipper into his bushy hair.

Man mourns his fiancée who died two weeks to their wedding
A Nigerian man, Sufiyanu Abubakar, has taken to social media to announce the sad demise of his fiancée, Rukayya Ibrahim Kani, fondly called Ummi.
The couple were set to get married on August 12 2022 in Bauchi State before she suddenly passed away on Wednesday night, July 29.
The bereaved young man shared a photo of their wedding invitation on Twitter and wrote,
“My fiancee passed away last night. We were supposed to get married in the next 2 weeks, but she is no more. Innalillahi wa inna ilaihi raji’un 😭😭😭”
Friends and family members have also gone online to mourn the deceased with emotional tributes.
Sharing her photo, one Ashiru Sani Tatimu, wrote,
“We’re all on the way waiting for this day, sooner or later, we shall all meet there……!!! Let me also personally use this medium to register my condolence message to the family of the late Alhaji Ibrahim kani, Over the death of his daughter Rukayya Ibrahim Kani,” he wrote.

“It’s not the right time to speak” – Empress Njamah writes hours after late Ada Ameh’s family accused ‘people of setting up condolences and mourning houses’ without their consent
Popular actress, Empress Njamah is still mourning her best friend and colleague, Ada Ameh, who died on Sunday, July 17, in Delta state.
The grieving thespian took to her Instagram page to express sadness over the loss of her ‘bestie’ on Thursday, July 29.
She added that some things have been brought to her attention but it’s not the right time to address them as she wants to mourn in peace for now.
Sharing a video of herself with Ada Ameh when she was alive, Empress wrote,
“KEEP SLEEPING MY SWEET TROUBLE…

Her post comes hours after the family of late Ada Ameh took to social media to accuse some persons of setting up condolences and mourning houses without their permission.
They also stated that some persons claimed that the late actress had no living family members and signed death notifications on their behalf.
Recall that Empress set up a condolence register for late Ada in her home on July 16 and hosted some persons who came to mourn Ada.

91-year-old Emir of Daura takes new 22-year-old bride few months after marrying a 20-year-old woman
Alhaji Faruk Umar Faruk, the Emir of Daura, the birthplace of President Buhari in Katsina, have taken a 22-year-old lady, identified as A’isha Yahuza Gona, as his new bride.
It was gathered that A’isha is the daughter of former local government chairman of Safana, Alhaji Yahuza Gona, and courted the monarch for less than a week before they got married according to Islamic rites.
The wedding took place in Safana town in Katsina State and it was a simple and lowkey ceremony.
According to a source, the new bride is already in her matrimonial home in Daura.
In December 2021, the Emir of Daura, H.R.H. Alhaji Umar Farouk Umar, also married a 20-year-old wife, Aisha Iro Maikano.
It was gathered that the couple tied the knot after a brief courtship, in a lowkey wedding in Katsina last Saturday, December 11.
According to DailyNigerian, the monarch paid N1 million naira dowry to the bride, who is the daughter of a high ranking traditional title holder, Fagacin Katsina, Iro Maikano.
Unconfirmed reports claim the traditional ruler has married not less than four young wives in the last six years. In 2015, he married one Gimbiya Aisha Umar Farouk, and have welcomed two children together.

SAD : Young lady found dead, days after she was allegedly abducted on her way to Ogun State orientation camp
A young lady identified as Chioma Eunice Igweike, who was allegedly abducted has been found dead
Details of the incident are still sketchy at the time of filing this report but it was gathered that the deceased was a prospective member of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) who left her house on Wednesday, July, 20, 2022, for the three weeks orientation course at the Ogun State NYSC camp.
According to friends and former coursemates, Chioma was kidnapped and killed by suspected ritualists.
Meanwhile, friends have taken to Facebook to mourn the Federal Polytechnic Oko graduate, with some of them calling for the scraping of the scheme.

Veteran Actress, Georgina Onuoha has come for Yul Edochie after he indirectly berated her and other actresses that were named in an alleged affair with Apostle Johnson Suleman.
A good number of Nollywood actresses were named as people who have had sex with the popular clergyman for money but there was little or vague evidence to buttress the allegation.

“Tuberculosis and HIV vanished” – Man narrates miraculous recovery of his sister who returned home six years after she disappeared
A Nigerian man, Soltune, has taken to Twitter to narrate how his sister miraculously recovered from Tuberculosis and HIV.
He disclosed that his sister went missing six years ago and didn’t return home until last year when she was dropped off by some people in a frail condition and was diagnosed with Tuberculosis and HIV.
Soltune, a Christian, said he called some of his friends to pray in ‘tongues’ over his sister because he didn’t want to lose her as he lost his father and elder sister.
According to him, his sister would listen to the ‘tongues’ every morning and she gradually started getting better.
One fateful day when she was taken to the hospital for a routine medical check-up, doctors were surprised to see that she was free of both Tuberculosis and HIV.

Disturbing audio conversation between a Port Harcourt-based pastor and a 16-year-old girl he allegedly defiled for a year surfaces (listen)
An alleged audio conversation between a Port Harcourt based pastor, identified as Bishop Felix Okpara Duruebube, and a 16-year-old girl he allegedly defiled for a year has surfaced online.
Duruebube, the lead pastor of Mercy House Church International, was recently arrested by men of the Rivers State Police Force for allegedly sexually abusing the minor in his church located in N0.42A road 12 Rumuahulu, Port Harcourt.
The sexual abuse occurred between April 2021 and May 2022, and the clergyman was said to have inserted his penis into the minor’s vagina.
In December 2021, he allegedly forced the minor to swear an oath not to sleep with another man or tell anyone about the unlawful ‘sexual affair’ otherwise she would run mad and die.
After his arrest, Duruebube was arraigned before a Chief Magistrate’s Court in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, and subsequently remanded in prison after he failed to meet the bail condition.
Well, a disturbing audio recording between Duruebube and his victim, is currently circulating online and he was heard having distasteful conversation with her.
In the audio, he is heard telling the minor to wash her private part thoroughly while taking her bath because it smells.
The minor also mentioned that the pastor’s wife was already suspecting that something was going on between them because she summoned her to ask some questions.

Baby snake found inside a chair at a chilling spot (Video)
There was a bit of panic at a chilling spot recently after a baby snake was found inside one of the holes of a plastic chair at the center.
In a video that was shared online, the snakelet was seen crawled up inside the hole of the chair. A vigilant individual spotted the reptile and made a video of it as he held a flashlight against it so as to see it clearly.

In other news, a 27-year-old Pennsylvanian man, Elliot Senseman, has died days after he was strangled by his 18-foot-long pet boa constrictor.
It was gathered that the long and thick reptile wrapped itself around Elliot’s neck which led to oxygen supply being cut off from his brain.
He was pronounced dead on Sunday, July 24, after suffering from accidental asphyxiation that caused an anoxic brain injury.
The Police speaking on the incident said they received a call from a relative of Senseman on Wednesday, July 20, and went to his home.
When they arrived, they saw him lying on the floor unresponsive with the 18-foot boa constrictor wrapped around his body. The snake’s head was far from his body so they decided to shoot it.
“Our officers responded and shot the snake with hopes of freeing the victim,” Lt Peter Nickischer of the Upper Macungie Township Police said.
The snake did not die immediately and slithered away before it was euthanized.
Lt. Peter said he has never seen anything like that in his 19 years of being in the police force and that the snake was “very long, and very thick.”
Sadly, Senseman passed away four days after the tragic attack.
The grieving mother of the deceased said her son often rescued snakes and was “still working with” the boa constrictor because it was very aggressive.

Popular Nigerian clergyman and founder of Living Faith Church, Bishop David Oyedepo, has once again spoken against the Buhari-led administration.
He attacked the government during a service in his church recently while reacting to the incessant killings in different states in the country, specifically the terrorist attack on a Catholic Church in Owo, Ondo state.
According to the clergymen, Nigerians have never suffered like this in our history and this current administration is proof that when the ‘wicked’ rule, the people will mourn.
He said in part,
“I shouted this in 2015. I am not a propagandist. I am not a public speaker. I am not an activist. I am a prophet.
You blindly brought in this wicked government. Nigerians has never suffered evil like this in our history and they still want to rule? Never!
After over 50 people were slaughtered, there has been no response till now. They are evil from head to toe”

In other news, Oyedepo recently boasted that there hasn’t been a blackout at his church headquarters in Ota, Ogun State, popularly known as Canaanland, in 23 years.
The clergyman said that the church achieved this without the input of the federal, state, or local government.
“Light has never gone off in Canaanland since 1999. We have zero input from any government in Nigeria whether local, state or federal. Not that we collect offering every Sunday to achieve this. We invested resources and have good and very committed people that manage it. We teach the world that you can make your marks by depending on God.
“They don’t use mouth to get power. You invest resources to sustain power. Have we ever raised an offering for power here? Never!” He said.

A young Nigerian boy who wants a cake for his birthday celebration by all means has told his mother to borrow money from a rich person to buy one for him.
In a video circulating online, the mother confronted her son on her camera while he was doing his assignment, and recounted how he told her earlier to buy him a birthday cake whether she has money or not.
However, the primary one student who was teary-eyed, angrily said she misinterpreted him as he only told her to borrow money from a wealthy fella if she doesn’t have money to get him the cake.
He also mentioned how a woman he knows borrowed money to buy cake for her children on their birthday.
The mother was displeased with the suggestion and rebuked him for advising her to borrow money to gratify his want.

Renowned Nigerian flutist, Tee Mac Omatshola Iseli, has said the presidential flagbearer of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, is not qualified to become president.
Tee Mac, a one-time president of the Performing Musicians Association of Nigeria (PMAN), said this on Facebook while responding to a Facebook user, Yemi Olakitan, who declared support for Tinubu.
Taking to the comment section, Tee Mac said Tinubu is his in-law and he knows for a fact that Tinubu is 86, and not 70 as they are claiming.
Giving a final note of warning to Nigerians, Tee Mac said Tinubu is not fit to become the next president and they should choose intelligently in the 2023 election.
He wrote:
“Dear Yemi. Any body can choose any candidate, but an intelligent person will ask himself the question: do I choose rightly! Is the man qualified! Is he honest! Does he tell us the truth about his age, background and how he made his money! Is this man healthy enough at 86 to take up the task of a totally run down country?

A woman has called out a female Twitter user for using a picture of her hand with engagement ring to announce her ‘engagement’.
The Twitter user, with handle @symply_bomi, had taken to the micro-blogging platform on Thursday, July 28, to share the engagment picture and reveal that she’s engaged.
After the post gained traction online, the real owner of the picture, identified as @NisforNora, spotted it and called out the lady for using her hand.
“You said yes with my hands?”, she asked.

Self-styled relationship expert, Blessing Okoro has weighed into the controversy trailing popular clergyman, Apostle Johnson Suleman, after he was accused of having sexual relations with a number of Nollywood actress.
This comes after an Instagram blogger, Gist Lover, released a long list of celebrities Suleman has allegedly slept with and also accused him of being fetish.
However, the clergyman has since responded to the allegations while preaching during a crusade on Thursday, July 28.
He said he is unperturbed and unshaken by the allegation, and dared the anonymous blogger to reveal their identity and address if they have the effrontery to challenge him in person. Watch here

60-year-old Nigerian woman welcomes triplets after many years of waiting (photos)
A US-based Nigerian woman, identified as Chinwe Mbahotu, has welcomed a set of triplets after many years of marriage.
The woman who is said to be over 60 years of age, gave birth to triplets – two boys and one girl – at a hospital in Dallas, US, last week.
A relative of the woman, Cliff Ayozie, took to Facebook to share the amazing news.
Sharing photos from the labour room, he wrote,
“Mother @60+ Blessed with Triplets. Two boys and a girl in Dallas, US. Mom and babies are healthy. My relation, Chinwe Mbahotu has been expecting this special blessings through her marriage years. Now,God visited her to change years of sorrow to Joy and celebrations. Pray and rejoice with us.”
