Controversial Ghanaian actress and video vixen, Akuapem Poloo, has used her cat as a point of contact to pregnant women in labour.
This comes after the actress’ cat gave birth to four kittens with ease and without any human assistance on Monday, July 4.
Akuapem took to her Instagram page to share a video of her cat and it’s newborn kittens and praised it for being a “strong woman” due to it’s resilience during labor.
The mother of one then used the cat as a point of contact to every pregnant woman in labour and prayed for them to also give birth with ease like her cat.
Recall that in April 2021, the mother of one was convicted for posing naked with her child in 2020 and sentenced to 90 days (3 months) imprisonment. However after tons of netizens signed petition requesting her release, and her lawyers filed for an appeal, she was granted bail pending the determination of the appeal.
In a recent development, a ruling on Wednesday, December 1, 2021, the Criminal Division of the court presided over by Justice Ruby Aryeetey dismissed the appeal filed by the actress.
Justice Ruby Aryeetey ordered that Akuapem Poloo’s son should be given to any competent person in the family to take care of him, while his mother serves her sentence at the Nsawam Prison.
Moments after the court sitting, the actress penned an emotional note to her son on her Instagram page.
“SON I LOVE YOU AND GOD IS WITH YOU ALWAYS YOU KNOW 💋💋💋💋💋💋BE GOOD TILL MUMMY COMES BACK 🙏 GOD IS IN CONTROL ALWAYS”. She wrote.
A young Nigerian lady simply identified as Chidinma has been declared missing by her twin brother.
Chidinma’s twin brother, Ebuka, who raised the alarm about his sister’s whereabouts on Twitter, said she alerted their younger sister when she noticed a strange car following her.
The family’s final communication with the young woman, according to him, was a phone call to their younger sister, informing her of the strange car that was tailgating her.

A young girl was nabbed and ruthlessly beaten by residents for allegedly stealing a generator in the Warri area of Delta State.
According to a report by Warri Aproko, the incident occurred at Lori- Igba street, off Deco Road on Sunday night, July 3.
The report shared how the suspect’s accomplice escaped leaving her to the mercy of angry residents in the area.

In other news, a Nigerian lady, Patience Patrick, has shared the interesting story of how she got married to her neighbour’s younger brother.
Patience in a post shared in a closed Facebook group, recounted how her neighbour used to call her her younger brother’s wife when she was 5 or 6 years old.
She said her neighbour asked her parents for permission to take her to Gombe state to visit her brother and other family members.
While there, she made them wear a little bride’s gown and a suit and took pictures of them together with the hope of them getting married some day.

The Lagos State Government has shut down the Redeemers Nursery and Primary School in Ogba, Ikeja, following the death of a pupil identified as Chidera Eze, within the school premises.
The 5-year-old Chidera drowned during a swimming lesson organized by the school in the Ikeja area of the state in May 2022. Chidera and his classmates were said to be playing at the tip of the pool when he slipped into it and drowned.
Folasade Adefisayo, the State commissioner for Education, released a statement saying the school is to remain closed pending an administrative investigation into its operation as it has been discovered the school is yet to complete its registration.

”The Lagos State Ministry of Education has shut the Redeemers Nursery and Primary School, Ogba. The school will remain closed, pending an administrative investigation of its operations and procedures as well as the conduct of its officials – in line with schools’ safety standards and guidelines.
The investigation is sequel to the death of a five-year-old pupil, who is suspected to have drowned during a swimming lesson while in the custody of the school. The police are investigating the matter.
A preliminary probe by the Office of Education Quality Assurance of the Ministry has shown that the Redeemers Nursery and Primary School, Ogba, is yet to conclude its registration and is, therefore, not yet an approved school.
The Ministry is concerned about the safety of the pupils, hence the need for intervention. The school will remain closed until all the required approval processes are concluded. Parents are advised to note the closure and wait for the conclusion of the administrative investigation”
A Nigerian lady who gave her boyfriend her school fees and a part of her accommodation fee so as to help with his business, revealed that she is still suffering for her actions.
According to the lady, she was in university when she lent him the money with the agreement that he would pay back at his convenience. She revealed it was because of the trust she had for him that she went on with her action
However, the said boyfriend never paid her back and went on to marry someone else. The Abia State University student, in a series of tweets stated that because of the school fees she gave her ex-boyfriend, she is yet to graduate from school.
She shared that she gained admission in 2012 and was supposed to graduate in 2016, however, due to the school fees she didn’t pay, she was unable to get her results.
“I had to repeat some courses because nonpayment of school fees means no result,” she explained.
She added: “We are in 2022, I haven’t gotten my results yet.
“I’m currently going from one lecturer’s office to another, writing letters to release my result.”
She also explained that it hurts when she sees jobs she would be good at but can’t apply for because she doesn’t have her papers yet.
“I was loyal for 5 years in that relationship. I saw him as my husband and allowed him to lead us,” she lamented.
She added that her experience has taught her to be more careful.
She wrote: “I accept my foolishness. I was indeed foolish to have entrusted my life to a man I wasn’t married to.”
A part of the 77 worshippers brought out of the basement of a church in Ondo State have reportedly refused to be reunited with their families.
Worshippers, including children, recently got ‘rescued’ from the basement on the premises of The Whole Bible Believers’ Church, also known as Ondo Church, in Valentino area of Ondo Town.
According to reports, the church was holding a seven-day retreat when the police stormed its premises last Friday. A total of Seventy-seven people comprising 26 children, eight teenagers, and 43 adults were let out as some of them had been reportedly held for about three weeks.
Some of the parents whose children were in the congregation without their consent had reported the case to the police.
A new report by Channels Television shares how a dramatic scene played out on Monday July 4, as some of those rescued refused to go with their families, insisting that they would remain with the pastor. This made their relatives accuse the Pastor of hypnotizing them.
Speaking to the news station, Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Development in Ondo, Dr Juliana Osadahun said the government will meet with the police and relatives of the victims to get a proper briefing on the incident and take appropriate actions.
An angry mob on Monday, July 4th, set two suspected ritualists on fire for allegedly raping a 10-year-old girl to death in Ede-Oballa, Nsukka Local Government Area of Enugu State.
According to a source from the community who spoke with The Sun, the girl who was the daughter of one late Philip Ugwu of Umuidu, went missing few days ago and was later found dead in a nearby bush with her eyes, breast and private parts removed.
“The girl who was about 10 years old was initially declared missing and the next day she was found dead with her body badly mutilated,” the source narrated.
“Her eyes was plugged out, her private parts were cut off and taken away by the suspected ritualists.
“Angered by the development, the elders and youths in the community went out of their way in search of what happened to the little girl.
“Along the line it was discovered that some members of the community has hand in the killing of the little girl, two person was arrested by the member of the neighborhood watch, but the angry mob overpowered them from handing them over to the police and set the ablaze,”
The source identified the suspects simply as Ifeanyi, a Native Doctor and Chidera noted that they are both from the community, stressing that they might have killed the girl and removed her body parts for money ritual.
“They confessed to the crime and pleaded for forgiveness but these any mob were adamant,” he added.
Another eyewitness from the community told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) that the incident had thrown the community into sorrow.
“The natives of the town have been worried that ritualists have entered the community. Only ritualists will rape a girl to death and remove her vital organs for their evil acts,” the witness narrated.
“That was why when residents heard that the perpetrators of the dastardly act had been arrested by the Neighbourhood Watch, everybody rushed to its office. The crowd overpowered the security men and grabbed the two ritualists that killed the girl and set them on fire and watched them burn to death.
“It was the intention of the security men to take the suspects to the police but they were overpowered by the mob,” the eyewitness said.
The President-General and Councillor who represents the community, Messrs Val Omeje and Hyginus Ogbu, respectively, confirmed the incident.
They also confirmed that the suspects hailed from the community. Meanwhile, graphic videos of the mob action and that of the confession made by one of the suspects before he was set ablaze are making the round on Facebook.

A Twitter user has shared a heartbreaking story of how a man’s life fell apart after he was caught writing an exam for his girlfriend at the university.
The Twitter user identified as John Doe said the young man in question was a final year student when he was caught by an invigilator taking an exam for his lover.
He was lucky that the lecturer who caught him knew him; as a result, instead of expulsion, he made sure to fail him in two required courses as punishment for his actions, which gained him two extra years in school.
Meanwhile, his girlfriend graduated and quickly moved on, leaving him struggling to graduate.
She went for the compulsory national youth service, got married and traveled to the Seychelles for her honeymoon.
Sharing the heartbreaking take on Twitter, John Doe wrote,
”One of my university mate risked it all to write exam for his then gf, he was caught by a lecturer he was close to. He was in his final yr & so the lecturer didn’t want him expelled, the lecturer punished him by deliberately failing him in 2 of his own courses. Gf graduated.
“My guy couldn’t pass the courses & had 2 extra yrs. He was still in sch when the gf left for service. He was still in that same sch when the gf told him that she was getting married. He was still in the same sch, she got married & had her honeymoon in Seychelles. End.”
Nollywood actor, Yul Edochie, has offered to help veteran colleague, Kenneth Aguba, who is reportedly homeless.
Reports emerged on Monday morning, July 4, that the Nollywood star is homeless and sleeps in shops and streets in Enugu.
A social media user posted photos of the actor sitting in front of an old store with what was left of his belongings crammed on one side of the run-down setting to support the claim.
Reacting to the news, Edochie asked Aguba to make a short video calling out his account number and post it online for crowdfunding.
He added that after this is done, Kenneth Aguba will never lack again.
“This one is a small matter. Me I don’t believe in too much talk or time wasting. Just get him to do a short video calling out his account details and post it online. We’ll do crowdfunding for him. He’ll never lack anything again.” He wrote on Twitter.
Meanwhile, the General Overseer of Omega Power Ministries, Chibuzor Chinyere, has also offered free accommodation and feeding to Kenneth Aguba.
Apostle Chibuzor made this announcement via his Twitter handle on Monday, July 4.
“Who knows the contact of this actor should tell him to contact me immediately. Instead of him sleeping on the streets, I apostle chibuzor chinyere GO of OPM is giving him a free accommodation in one of the OPM free estates. With free feeding.” His tweet read.
The Actors Guild of Nigeria has refuted claims that the association abandoned one of its members, veteran actor Kenneth Aguba.
Pictures of Aguba in a shabby environment trended on the internet on Monday morning as multiple reports claimed that he had become homeless.
Reacting to the reports, Nigerians on social media lambasted the Actors Guild of Nigeria, accusing the association of abandoning the veteran Nollywood star.
Well, Kemi Adekomi, the Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity to the President of the Guild, Emeka Rollas, in a statement released on Monday afternoon, said the Guild has in the past four years taken care of Aguba by providing him with accommodation and medical interventions until his case degenerated recently.
The statement read,
“The attention of the Actors Guild of Nigeria has been drawn to an online viral picture of veteran actor, Kenneth Aguba living on the street. The National President of the Guild, Ejezie Emeka Rollas wishes to state in clear terms that the Guild has never abandoned Kenneth Aguba.
Enugu state chapter of the Guild and individual members have been supportive in both provision of accommodation and medical interventions in the past four years to the veteran actor until his matter which could be a spiritual issue, degenerated recently.
The Guild just does not make public, issues regarding assistance to its members. The National President frowns at the shades thrown at the leadership of the Guild since the story went viral, describing it as the handwork of detractors which may not be unconnected with the present towering reputation of the Guild.
Actors Guild of Nigeria wishes to reiterate that it welcomes inquiries on issues regarding welfare of members, as the Guild runs an open-door policy and calls on the public to always verify their stories before expressing not-so-palatable comments. Meanwhile, the National President wishes to thank good spirited members who have called to show concern and willingness to provide immediate intervention.”
Author and clergywoman, Laurie Idahosa, has given a golden word of advice to single ladies waiting for Mr. Right.

A letter presidential flagbearer of Labour Party,Peter Obi, wrote in 2007 to reject lands allocated to him as the then-Governor of Anambra state has surfaced online.
The Anambra State Housing Development Corporation allotted a plot of land at Hill View Housing Estate in Nkwelle-Ezunaka to Peter Obi as contained in an official letter released online.
However, the former Governor blatantly rejected the offer and stated that it’s wrong for him to benefit from the allocation.
According to him, he was elected as the Governor by the divine power of God and he has no intention of benefiting from anything in the state owing to his office.
He further noted that he was elected to serve the people of Anambra state and firmly believes he has to distance himself from the undue privileges of the office.
The letter reads in part,
“As I have made abundantly clear, my being the Governor is by the Grace of God and I believe firmly that it is wrong to benefit from that. I became the Governor because I wish to serve my people, and to do that devotedly, I believe I have to distance myself from undue privileges of the office.
Consequently, as I thank you for your thoughtfulness, I wish to decline the allocation based on the reasons already adduced.”
A Nigerian lady, Patience Patrick, has shared the interesting story of how she got married to her neighbour’s younger brother.
Patience in a post shared in a closed Facebook group, recounted how her neighbour used to call her her younger brother’s wife when she was 5 or 6 years old.
She said her neighbour asked her parents for permission to take her to Gombe state to visit her brother and other family members.
While there, she made them wear a little bride’s gown and a suit and took pictures of them together with the hope of them getting married some day.
In the lengthy story she shared alongside a picture from their pre-wedding photo shoot, Precious disclosed that they are now married.

“My husband’s elder sister came to stay in our family compound as a tenant wen I was about 4 or 5 years. She loves children and was very fond of me and my younger brother then, so she would always tell my mum dat she has found a wife for her younger brother (me oh) and they will just laugh about it. So dat year December she pleaded with my mum to allow me follow her home to see her parents for Christmas, because they were already friends with mumcy it wasn’t hard for my parents to agree oh and we traveled to Gombe together with her.
She told her parents and siblings that she brought wife for Joseph, and they will always joke and tease him with him, while huncle was feeling shy and not liking it, It was sweeting me my thing( I was young and naive abi??).
One Sunday morning when we came back from church my husband’s elder sister wore this gown for me oh ( can’t remember how she got the gown though, I think it was the one her little bride used cos she was recently married), she made him wear his one in town suit too, she called photographer oh and we took pictures. She kept saying she had joined us oh remain God’s own.
Holiday was over and we came back to Jos, she brought the pictures and gave my mum one copy of it.
Fast-forward to many years later when I was in ss1 and huncle (my husband) had just graduated from sec school, he came to his elder sister’s house in Jos though she was not in our compound again but she wasn’t staying very far, so I used to still visit her sometimes with my parents and other times I go alone to help her children out cos of the nature of her job( am older than them ofcourse). So as usual na one time I went to the house and I met huncle there. And then we got talking, he asked me out ahhhh brother calm down I still dey secondary oh till I graduate. He agreed and waited for me till I graduated from sec school, we started dating.
I got admission to university and he also went for force training. He did something that hurt me and I broke up with him. He pleaded and I refused cos there was also one guy in my head too dat time, after trying to no avail he just told me “he’s certain that I am his wife so no matter where I go or who I date I will still come back” and I was like abeg getat. I think he got angry and even blocked me on his social media handles, ahhhh wetin concern me.
Later on once in a while we got talking again just as friends though even though I knew he still liked me, i even told him how my one of my boyfriend broke my heart, guess wat he said??? ” That’s how they will keep breaking ur heart till you decide to come back to me”
That was how huncle started posting one girl’s picture on his wastapp status with love emojis ahhhhh na so jealousy start oh ( no b like say we dey date oh).
One day I asked him y he was posting her picture oh, he said he was getting married to her November 2020!! Ewooooo my blood is not flowing again. Dat was wen i realized I was really in love with this guy ahhhhhhhh later told me he was just joking oh, and we came back together, the next thing was I want to come and see your parents and that was how God’s work was completed in our lives”
