Why a lot of successful women are still single — Relationship Expert, Blessing Okoro

Controversial relationship expert, Blessing Okoro, has taken to her social media page to share her opinion on why most successful women remain single for a long time.

According to Blessing, most Men who are small minded always end up being intimidated by a Woman’s success and that is the reason most of these successful women are single.

In her words;

It is because a lot of men do not have any other thing to offer a woman apart from money, yes just money.

So when you start making money as a woman, a lot of men get intimidated

The truth is a lot of men are small minded, many men are still boys covered in Men’s body because in this part of the world, when you have a manhood that is standing and sleeping, that is still functioning, they call you a man – but so many men are still boys, they don’t know how to handle a woman, they don’t know that a woman has other needs apart from money. So when they see that a woman has money of her own, they get intimidated, they would not know what else to do for her. A real man would not be intimidated by a woman’s sucesss, he will focus on what she has and what she can bring, and what she can bring is VALUE which money cannot buy.

We also have Lazy men today who always feel that Women with money are not going to respect them and most of those things are Illusions, it comes with poverty.

When people are poor, they exaggerate alot of things.

Nigerians are now eating home-grown rice – President Buhari

President Buhari has taken to his verified page on Twitter to praise his administration’s agricultural policies.

According to the President, due to his administration’s policies and investments, Nigeria is today much better prepared to cope with the inevitable disruptions in global agricultural supply chains occasioned by Covid-19 and the Russia-Ukraine war.

Read what the President wrote below;

Because of our policies and investments in the last seven years, towards achieving food security, Nigeria is today much better prepared to cope with the inevitable disruptions in global agricultural supply chains occasioned by Covid-19 and the Russia-Ukraine war.

I said we must grow what we eat and eat what we grow. We have always been very conscious of the need to achieve food security in Nigeria, and to encourage our local farmers and rural economies.

This is a country that was once dependent on foreign rice. Confident that we can grow and eat Nigerian rice, we closed the border to foreign rice, and also put policies in place to support local production. Today Nigerians are eating home-grown rice.

Popular Nigerian singer, Portable, has declared that he’ll be bigger than all his colleagues in five years while bragging about his achievements so far.

Portable stated in a new video making the rounds online that he had over 400 tracks on the web prior to his Zazu Zeh track that catapulted him to fame.

He went on to assert that he has more social media followers than most Nigerian celebrities. According to him, most celebrities who appear to have more followers than him and are verified on social media buy followers and fake verifications.

“E don tey wey me i don dey for this game, no be 10 years wey me I don dey sing , I get like 400 tracks online before I sing Zazu, check google. It would be recalled that the controversial singer had taken to his social media pages to enjoin his fans to cast their votes for Oyetola in the Osun gubernatorial elections on Saturday, July 16, while showing the wads of cash he received on his visit to Oyetola.

Meanwhile, superstar singer Davido’s uncle, Senator Ademola Adeleke, is also running for governor of Osun under the People’s Democratic Party and has been actively involved in his campaign.

“Peter Obi can only become President in Igboland, not in Nigeria” – Shettima

Shettima says

The vice presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Kashim Shettima, has said Peter Obi can only become President in Igboland, not in Nigeria.

Shettima, a former governor of Borno state, said this in an interview on Channels TV Politics Today programme on Friday, July 15.

Shettima says

According to him, Peter Obi, the presidential flagbearer of Labour Party, lacks the structure, competency and capacity to govern Nigerian in its entirety.

His words,

“The Presidential Candidate of the Labour Party, Mr. Peter Obi has no political base and structure to win the next coming election in 2023. As far as i am concerned he’s politically structureless with little or no experience to lead this country.”

“Nigeria requires a technocrat and a sound Administrator who will continue from where President Muhammadu Buhari stopped not someone who will come to take us back in the era of PDP. Nigerians don’t want that.

“Our Candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu is the right person needed for this position in a time like this. He’s a unifier, an Administrator, a technocrat name it. That is why Nigerians both old and young are rallying round him to ensure that he wins the forth coming election.

“Presidential position is not for the unprepared neither is it an all comers affairs. Peter Obi can only become a President in Igboland but definitely not in Nigeria. Nigeria is too big for him to handle. He has no leadership ideology nor experiences like President Muhammadu and our incoming President in the person of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.”

“You are owing your boss money and you are talking to a boss?” – BNXN replies Ruger

The unprecedented beef amongst some new-school Nigerian Singers is gaining traction and reaching new levels.

The drama started on Thursday evening, started when 22-year-old Michael Adebayo Olayinka, popularly known as Ruger caused a stir on social media with a tweet where he declared that he is better than all his peers and more specifically, Buju formerly known as BNXN.

Ruger had said;

I love buju he’s good but he’s not better than me. Everything I’ve done since the beginning was only RUGER. All my hits are JUST RUGER. I’m always proud going on stage around the world with my own hits and everyone is singing along. You see the difference?

BNXN has now mustered a response via snapchat and he seemingly mocked Ruger for still being under a label where he doesn’t get 100% profit for his music and he also bragged that his project is still charting above Ruger’s on Apple Music.

BNXN response reads;

“Sorry I’m Late” still above two of your projects on the Apple Music Charts, you had to drop a deluxe for one and you think you got shit on me?

Jonzing world indeed, you are owing your boss money and you’re talking to a boss?

“Mofos do anything for clout” — 25 year old singer, Omah Lay outs Victony, 22, and Ruger, 22; says they are both kids

There seems to be some sort of heat among new-generation Nigerian artistes as jabs have been thrown from one artiste to the other in a rather controversial manner.

It all started when 22-year-old Michael Adebayo Olayinka, popularly known as Ruger caused a stir on social media with a tweet where he declared that he is better than all his peers and more specifically, Buju now known as BNXN.

Ruger had engaged his fans in a Question & Answer session where a Twitter user asked if his boss, D’Prince is aware that BNXN is better than him (Ruger).

Ruger didn’t let the comment slide, as in response, he shared a screenshot of a conversation he had with D’Prince where he acknowledged that “Ruger is nobody’s mate.”

However, a fan with the handle @BNXN001 took to the comment section to write;

Lol bnxn is better than you 😂 and there’s nothing you can do about it you this low budget Samuel L Jackson

Ruger’s response to this user, is what has now caused a stir on social media. He tweeted,

I love buju he’s good but he’s not better than me. Everything I’ve done since the beginning was only RUGER. All my hits are JUST RUGER. I’m always proud going on stage around the world with my own hits and everyone is singing along. You see the difference?

In light of the controversy, Stanley Omah Didia better known as Omah Lay seems to have come to BNXN’s side as in a new tweet, he outed Ruger and in the same tweet, threw a jab at fellow singer, Victony where he referred to both artistes as kids.

His tweet reads,

Ruger get mind dey talk about bnxn like that for this app smh!! mofos do anything for clout out here, same way Victony lol my tweet the other time, y’all are really kids 😂

“Some people want to destroy the ladder they used in climbing to the top” – Yomi Fabiyi writes cryptic post

Yomi Fabiyi writes

Popular actor, Yomi Fabiyi has taken to his Instagram page to share a cryptic post seemingly directed at one of his colleagues.

However, it’s unclear who the actor is referring to as he has been enmeshed in different controversial issues in recent times.

It would be recalled that he was caught in the crossfire between convicted actor, Baba Ijesha and comedienne, Princess, after he defended the former.

Yomi Fabiyi writes

He was also involved in a domestic crisis with his baby mama, Amarachi Grace, after she accused of him of physically assaulting her while pregnant and demanding sex for movie roles.

Just yesterday, he was accused of falling out with his colleague, Mo Bimpe, because she turned down his demand to sleep with her in exchange for a role.

Mo Bimpe has however debunked the claim and said he didn’t ask her out until they finished the movie they were both working on.

She said when she turned him down, he gave her an option to either date him or become his enemy and she made her choice.

Well, amid all the drama, Yomi took to his Instagram page on Thursday, July 15, to say someone is trying to destroy the ladder they used in climbing to the top and he’s ready to play the person’s ‘game’.

He wrote,

“Hello you say what? I am coming, I am in the library.

It is safe to say some people will want to DESTROY the ladder they use in climbing to the top by all means possible and a handful will still indulge such.

Nothing is as efficacious as Natural Justice. I hate half truth.

Game on.”

“E go do pass the money dem pay am” – Reactions as Singer Portable strips to his boxers as he campaigns for APC

Massive reactions have trailed a photo of Portable stripped to his boxers in front of the statue of Obafemi Awolowo in Osogbo, as he campaigned for the All Progressives Congress (APC).

The controversial singer, who was at the APC mega rally for the re-election of Osun State Governor, Adegboyega Oyetola, held in Osogbo, danced vigorously and, at some point, stripped to his boxers and bent as if to sit on Obafemi Awolowo’s statue.

The photo has sparked outrage from Nigerians since it found its way to the internet. Many social media users averred that Portable’s conduct in front of Awolowo’s statue was disrespectful to the legacy of the statesman.

Meanwhile, recall that Portable earlier revealed that he was paid to support the ruling party. In light of this, some tweeps joked that the singer had to be extra to give APC value for their money.

Reacting, a Twitter user wrote, “I’m not even Yoruba & I’m deeply offended by that crass display of disrespect and disregard for such a highly regarded Yoruba leader. Just look at this rubbish.”

American missionary sentenced to 10 years imprisonment for sexual assault of 14-year-old Ugandan girl

An American missionary, Eric Tuininga, has been sentenced to 10 years of imprisonment after he was found guilty of defiling a 14-year-old Ugandan girl who was under his care at the Orthodox Presbyterian church based in Mbale District.

In 2019, 45-year-old Tuininga was reported by a fellow US citizen working at the same church who contacted the US Embassy in Kampala that he was having carnal knowledge with Ugandan girls as young as 14 years old who were under the care of their church.

The US Department of State, Bureau of Diplomatic Security federal agents in Kampala opened an investigation into the allegations and subsequently identified the abused minor, who was then aged 14, in May 2019 when Tuininga had intercourse with her.

“Eric Tuininga used his trusted position as a pastor to sexually assault a young Ugandan girl in his care, this was a challenging case, but law enforcement worked diligently to ensure that Tuininga did not escape justice for his crime overseas,” US Attorney Peter D. Lear said.

He has now been sentenced to 10 years in a US federal prison after he was convicted of sexually molesting a minor.

He was ordered to pay $20,000 (about Shs75m) in restitution by US District Judge Marc T. Treadwell and spend a lifetime on supervised release as a registered sex offender after getting out of prison.

Meanwhile, in February, Mr. Tuininga pleaded guilty and was taken to jail pending sentencing. He faced up to 30 years in jail, according to reports at the time. Several US media outlets reported that the recommended sentence for Tuininga was seven to nine years.

The judge gave him a 10-year sentence after hearing testimony from the victim’s caretaker and some of Tuininga’s family members.

“I want to recognize the true bravery displayed by the Ugandan girl for speaking out when she was assaulted by a trusted person of power from another country, courageously seeking justice across continents,” US Attorney Peter D. Leary is quoted in a statement.

Recall that during an Instagram live session on Thursday, Princess rained curses on actor Yomi Fabiyi and his child following the sentencing of Baba Ijesha, who sexually molested her foster daughter.

Baba Ijesha was sentenced to a 16-year jail term on Thursday after facing six counts of child defilement that included indecent treatment of a child, sexual assault, attempted sexual assault by penetration, and sexual assault by penetration.

However, reacting to the judge’s ruling, Fabiyi, who has taken sides with Baba Ijesha since the beginning of the case, stated that Baba Ijesha must be given the privilege to challenge the court ruling in all possible ways.

This comment apparently triggered Princess, and in an Instagram live session, tearfully rained curses on Fabiyi, his son, Akorede, whom he welcomed with his baby mama, Grace, in February, and his generations to come.

“Yomi Fabiyi, your son whom you called Akorede has not brought any fortune for you. The day you point your hand to your child, you’re pointing your hand to an unfortunate thing,” Princess said in Yoruba, amid tears holding the Holy Bible.

Reacting, Akorode’s mother, Grace, took to her Instagram page to share a picture of herself and her child, prayed for her child, rebuking every curse.

“Heavenly Father, may my child Akorede Imoleayo not fear, for you are with him. As I place my child in your mighty loving hands, give him peace. Akorede, you will excel in life. You are protected in God’s hand, no curse, no evil will befall you. Amen.” The mother of one wrote.

In another post, Grace seemingly mocked Princess for not having a child.

“If you had gone through labour pain, you would know cursing an innocent child/ren is a No.” She wrote.

Comedienne Princess tearfully rains ‘generational curses’ on Yomi Fabiyi, Iya Rainbow, others following Baba Ijesha’s sentence (Video)

Nigerian comedienne, Princess, has heaped curses on actor, Yomi Fabiyi, Iya Rainbow, and ex-Lagos police boss Hakeem Odumosu after Baba Ijesha was convicted and sentenced for sexually molesting her foster daughter.

The comedienne had, in April 2021, accused Baba Ijesha of assaulting her 14-year-old foster daughter since she was 7. After months of legal wrangling, he was found guilty before an Ikeja special offences court on Thursday, July 14.

The actor was charged with a 6-count charge, which bordered on allegations of indecent treatment of a child, sexual assault, attempted sexual assault by penetration, and sexual assault by penetration. However, at the judgment on Thursday, the presiding judge found him guilty of counts 2, 3, 4, and 5, while the prosecution could not prove counts one and six, which were sexual assault by penetration and attempted sexual assault by penetration.

Reacting to the judge’s ruling, actor Yomi Fabiyi, who has taken sides with Baba Ijesha since the beginning of the case, stated that Baba Ijesha must be given the privilege to challenge the court ruling in all possible ways.

In an apparent reaction to this, Princess, during an Instagram live session, rained generational curses on Yomi Fabiyi. Princess also cursed Nollywood stars like Iya Rainbow, Yinka Quadri, and Baba Latin over their negligence of unruly acts in the industry.

She also laid curses on the former Lagos state Commissioner of Police, Hakeem Odumosu, whom she accused of threatening her and also humiliating her foster daughter.

“I was born with sickle cell disease. It was life and death” – Adekunle Gold writes

Popular Nigerian Singer and Father-of-one, Adekunle Gold has opened up on the struggles he had with his health when he was much younger due to him being born with Sickle Cell Anaemia.

In an open letter to his fans, the “orente” crooner revealed that there were days when health crisis came and he wished he died becaue the pain was too much for him to bear.

Read his letter below;

It feels liberating to finally be able to share this part of my life with you, to finally be able to speak my truth. When I talk about how I struggled to get to where I am today, I need you to know that my struggle was real.
I was born with sickle cell disease. It was life and death, it was physical, mental, financial, you name it and I went through it all. It was tough, painful and frustrating. I lived with a sickness no one around me understood, I lived with restrictions all my childhood.

I wasn’t able to join some of the most minor child play and liberating activities like going out in the rain. The times when I insisted and rebelled against my parents orders and went out in the rain, I would end up having a crisis.

The nights were painful and lonely, nights that no one could help me get through. It was just me, God and my mind. The pains and shivers were unbearable.

They always came in the night, when my family had no means to transport me to a hospital. We simply couldn’t afford the constant hospital bills so I had no choice but to endure the pain.

My mum wanted me to be well, she did her best. She took me to all the churches she could find, I’m grateful for her because she saw a future for me.
A future where no illness or sickness could hold me back from my purpose. From the life I was destined to live.

Sickle cell disease took away my freedom, my childhood. I lost friends, a lot of them. Some didn’t understand the restrictions and rules I had to live by, some just didn’t want to deal with my Illness or thought it was a nasty or contagious disease that they could catch. I was a burden for some. Living with sickle cell is far from living a normal life.

One of the most intense crisis I had was at the age of 20, I remember laying in my bed in the middle of the night asking for an end to it all. I begged God to take my life away because I couldn’t understand what I did to deserve the pain my body and mind was under. As usual with sickle crisis after some days, the pain subsided and God asked me; “That end you begged me for, do you still want it?” Of course I said no and that’s when everything changed for me. That’s when I realised that I had been given another opportunity to live my dreams and to show those that mocked me that sickle cell anemia was never going to end me, that it was never going to hold me back from my dreams and aspirations.

My body caves in once in a while, some symptoms come back but what this disease has taught me is resilience. Sickle cell anemia gave me hope, made me tough, gave me the discipline I needed to be who I am today, built my character. I mean I went through a whole 5 weeks of back to back performances and didn’t fall sick. Grace.

My mind and body were challenged and I’m stronger, more determined and ready to take on the world. I’m ready for Adekunle Gold Supremacy, I’m ready to live and enjoy the 5 Star life that I deserve, that my body toiled for.

I’m sharing my testimony with you because I hope that you can find strength in my truth. Some ailments hold us back but I’m thankful this hasn’t. I want to encourage you in whatever it is you’re going through, know that there is hope. You are strong and you must not give up. YOU CAN DO THIS!
Victory lies at the end for you just as it did for me.

If you know anyone going through any struggle, physical, health, mental. Be kind, show compassion. In fact be kind to everyone, you just never know what they’re dealing with privately. Be supportive, be gentle and love endlessly.

If you are a sickler, know that the disease does not define you. Don’t allow it to limit your dreams or cap your potential. Spread your wings and dream big! Hope to see you soaring the big skies.

All my love,

Singer, Portable, has reacted after his colleague, Davido, reportedly unfollowed him on Instagram after he declared his support for the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Tinubu, and Governor Gboyega Oyetola, who is seeking re-election in Saturday’s gubernatorial election in Osun state.

Well, Portable has now revealed that OBO has unfollowed him on Instagram, presumably due to their clash of interests.

In a video he shared on his Instagram page, apparently shading Davido, he said he made his father and family rich, unlike “OBO”, who was born with a silver spoon.

Watch video below,

This comes after Portable revealed that he was once paid to insult the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

He told those criticizing him for supporting Tinubu that he was only doing his job.
