A Nigerian lady has sparked lovely responses on Twitter after she asked people in blissful marriages to share their stories.
According to @chiiogbu, people in good marriages should be more open with their beautiful stories because bad stories of marriages have taken the center stage on social media.
She said a lot of single folks, like herself, are no longer interested in getting married because of the terrible marriage stories they read online.
“I need people in genuinely happy marriages to normalize sharing advice and their cute stories because their colleagues in toxic marriages overshare thereby making it look very unappealing to us singles.
We need balance plsss”
Her tweet quickly garnered traction on social media and some couples came out to share their lovely stories and how sweet their marriages have been.

Newborn baby rescued after being abandoned in front of a church in Rivers state
A newborn baby was rescused after the yet-to-be identified mother abandoned her in front of a church in Rivers state.
A good samaritan identified as Blessedcovenant Cyril Antai took to his social media page to disclosed that the baby was abandoned in front of his church on July 19, with a note which read “call her godgift and take care of her.”
Cyril revealed that he had to take the baby to the police station to make an entry. In his words;

Suspected phone snatcher publicly flogged after he stole a phone and sold it for N1500 in Bayelsa (video)
A video shared online captures the moment a suspected phone thief was brutally flogged in public by men of the Bayelsa State Vigilante Services.
The suspect was accused of snatching an old Itel phone from a bread seller at a popular market in Yenagoa and sold it at a meagre price of N1,500.
According to an eyewitness who shared the video online, the incident took place on Wednesday morning, July 20, at Swali market.
In the video, the vigilantes took turns to beat him with a wooden cane.
The eyewitness giving an account of the incident wrote, “One of the phone snatcher in swali market Area collecting wotowoto from state vigilante security services. As old as he is snatched an old model Itel smart phone from a bread supplier, had even sold it for 1k 500.. but him collect wetin no good this morning.”

An overseas-based Nigerian woman has cried out on social media after returning home to find her son, whom she had been sending money for his upkeep to his guardian, looking neglected.
The mother of one, in a video she shared on social media lamenting the condition she met her son, said she works very hard abroad and sends all her earnings home just to ensure her little boy has a good life here in Nigeria.
Apparently, the lady had arrived in the country without informing the people she had left her little boy in their care and was utterly disappointed to meet him in that unkempt state.
In the video, the boy wore very old clothes with dirty slippers.

The lady, identified as Grace Chibueze-Okere, took to Facebook to reveal that her cleaner didn’t show up to work so she called her phone repeatedly to ask for the reason behind her absence but she didn’t pick up.
Much later, the cleaner sent her a text message saying she was still hungover from the drug or alcohol she took the previous night and needs time to fully recover.
Grace who seemed dazed by the cleaner’s response, pointed out that the cleaner gets paid for her job and questioned if she’s supposed to make provisions for when she’s high.

George Deegha, the partner of late Nollywood actress, Ada Ameh has taken to social media to mourn her demise.
The Nollywood star, popular for her role as Emu in the popular sitcom, The Johnson’s, died on Sunday night, July 17 after she slumped in Delta State.
The sudden demise of the vibrant thespian threw the entire Nollywood industry into mourning, and many fans and colleagues are still in disbelief over her passing.
Taking to his Instagram page, George penned a touching tribute to Ameh, whom he described as his “friend, partner, and soulmate”.
“How my world crumbled before me, I have lost you, you were my friend, partner, soul mate. I feel lost and alone, I do not know what to do. it is a never ending nightmare of pain for me, like a nail being drilled into my heart, aches and pull out . I know I will never get over your death , somehow I have to get through it. this grief is indescribable”, He wrote.
Ada Ameh unveiled George as the love of her life in June 2021 after she took to social media to appreciate him.
The actress shared a beautiful photo of them together and reiterated her love for him.
“I LOVE ❤you !!thank you for everything you do for me!!”, she captioned the photo.
A fan however took to the comment to commend Ada’s man saying he’s such a wonderful person and prayed that God bless them both as they both deserve each other. Following this, Ada Ameh replied the fan saying Amen to his prayers for them.
Man carpets Twitter user who told men their girlfriend is lazy if she stays in bed till 8am when she comes to spend the weekend
A Twitter user recently caused a huge stir online after he shared an hot take addressed to men who invite their girlfriends over to spend the night.
According to John Doe, if a man invites a lady over and she stays in bed till 8am instead of waking up to do menial chores around the house or cook, then she’s either lazy or doesn’t like the man enough.
He tweeted,
“If your girlfriend comes to spend the weekend with you, and she stays in bed till 8am, it just might be a sign that she’s lazy or doesn’t really rate you.
Except she’s sick.

The tweet quickly went viral and became the topic of discussion on Twitter yesterday as people began sharing their opinions about it.
One of the people who disagreed with the tweet was Twitter influencer, Chemical Brother, and he didn’t waste time to carpet John Doe for talking about women like they are slaves or servants.
He also wondered why a man would use a simple ‘sleepover’ as a marriage audition for his woman.

In other news, a Nigerian man has expressed shock after a lady he took out on a date completely devoured a wrap of grilled catfish.
According to @ibennywhite on Twitter, he met the lady for the first time recently and invited her out on a date where he bought her a plate of grilled fish.
He was however left shocked to find out she has a good appetite after she consumed the whole fish and left only the bone.
He shared a picture of what was left of the fish and wrote,

Kano Hisbah officials shave young man’s hair for being ‘unIslamic’ (video)
Personnel of Hisbah Police in Kano have forcibly shaved off the hair of a male resident for being “unIslamic”.
In a viral clip, the young man was stopped by officials along a road and had his hair forcibly shaved off before he was released to go.
This comes after Sharia Police, also known as Hisbah reportedly banned women from using mobile phones and wearing sunglasses in Kuriga Village under Chikun Local Government Area of Kaduna state.
According to Sahara Reporters, a resident of the community raised the alarm over the increasing repressive activities of the religious police in the region.
According to him, Hisbah had been ‘frustrating the lives of youths in Kuriga and often carry out severe punishment for moral failings’.
“Hisbah is punishing youths for keeping afro hair and sometimes it is accompanied with beating. They have also prevented women and girls from using smartphones, claiming that it is used to spread unIslamic behaviors. They are just terrorising us”.
Another resident of the community also alleged that Hisbah personnel have prohibited women and girls from using sunglasses.
“They also sometimes storm houses where ceremonies are taking place and punish playing of music, dancing and any form of entertainment”.
The publication also recalled that Hisbah recently made headlines for shaving off the hair of young men on stylish haircuts and afros in Kano, arresting people for improper dressing and seizing tricycles from rides who decorated them with pictures considered to be obscene or against the tenets of Islam.

Mustapha Lamido Sanusi, one of the sons of the former Emir of Kano, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, has graduated with first class honors in Economics from a UK university.
The former monarch who was once the governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, and some family members and friends travelled to the UK to attend the graduation ceremony on Tuesday, July 19.
Photos from the ceremony has been shared online and the Sanusi family were all smiles and obviously in a happy mood as they celebrated Mustapha for making them proud.

“It’s not been easy” – Actor Yul Edochie’s wife, May opens up on her battle with depression after he took a second wife (Video)
Controversial actor Yul Edochie’s first wife, May, has revealed that she fell into depression after her husband took a second wife.
Recall that Yul Edochie, who had been married to May for more than seventeen years, shocked everyone in April 2022 when he announced his marriage to actress Judy Austin.
At the time, May did not hesitate to express her displeasure with Yul’s marriage to Judy as she took to the comment section of the post to call on the judgement of God on her husband and his new wife.
May, on the other hand, received the support of Nigerians online, who have continued to denigrate Yul and take advantage of any chance to drag his second wife, Judy.
However May, during a recent Facebook live session with actress Chioma, recounted how she battled a terrible depression following the news, but thankfully she survived and has now gotten over it.
The mother of four noted that rather than dwelling in depression, she braced herself up and moved on.
“Some people are saying May is using this to cash out. I don’t wish this against my enemy. Depression is real. And there are different stages of depression. For me, rather than dwell in depression, I decided to pick the pieces of the beautiful world I had, a very beautiful world that I had.”
“An amazing family that suddenly shattered and I decided to pick up the pieces and try to move on rather than dwell in depression. It has not been easy. I’m glad that I look happy and appear strong.”
“I’m glad that I have been able to go out there and do stuff. It is because of the love and support from my family and you guys. The love has been massive. These are the things that have kept me going.” She said.

Nollywood actress, Etinosa Idemudia has urged her colleagues to stop filming when they pay condolence visit to a grieving family.
Her post comes after the death of popular actress, Ada Ameh, who passed away on Sunday, July 17, in Delta state.
Following her death, some Nigerian celebrities paid a visit to her family and bestfriend, Empress Njamah, to condole them for their loss.
However, some celebrities recorded a video of the emotional highs and lows during the visit and shared the video online.
This didn’t sit well with Etinosa and she took to her Instagram story to voice out her reservation about people filming during a condolence visit.
According to her, not everything should be used as a social media content and people should learn to sympathize with a grieving family without recording.

“I feel we can all drop our phones and cameras and really do the condolence visit we came for. Imagine me seeing someone recording himself or herself coming to my father’s house for condolence. Nigerian rapper, Sodiq Abubakar Yusuf better known as CDQ, has taken to social media to bemoan the declining economic condition in the country.
The ‘Akwaba’ crooner in a tweet shared on Twitter lamented over the rising cost of living in Nigeria without an increase in minimum wage.
He pointed out the alarming increase in price of some basic food items and wondered how we arrived at this point, whereas the Federal Government keeps collecting loans from foreign bodies without a visible result in the country.
He wrote,
