“He’ll never lack again” – Actor Yul Edochie offers to help homeless colleague, Aguba
Nollywood actor, Yul Edochie, has offered to help veteran colleague, Kenneth Aguba, who is reportedly homeless.
Reports emerged on Monday morning, July 4, that the Nollywood star is homeless and sleeps in shops and streets in Enugu.
A social media user posted photos of the actor sitting in front of an old store with what was left of his belongings crammed on one side of the run-down setting to support the claim.
Reacting to the news, Edochie asked Aguba to make a short video calling out his account number and post it online for crowdfunding.
He added that after this is done, Kenneth Aguba will never lack again.
“This one is a small matter. Me I don’t believe in too much talk or time wasting. Just get him to do a short video calling out his account details and post it online. We’ll do crowdfunding for him. He’ll never lack anything again.” He wrote on Twitter.
Meanwhile, the General Overseer of Omega Power Ministries, Chibuzor Chinyere, has also offered free accommodation and feeding to Kenneth Aguba.
Apostle Chibuzor made this announcement via his Twitter handle on Monday, July 4.
“Who knows the contact of this actor should tell him to contact me immediately. Instead of him sleeping on the streets, I apostle chibuzor chinyere GO of OPM is giving him a free accommodation in one of the OPM free estates. With free feeding.” His tweet read.

The Actors Guild of Nigeria has refuted claims that the association abandoned one of its members, veteran actor Kenneth Aguba.
Pictures of Aguba in a shabby environment trended on the internet on Monday morning as multiple reports claimed that he had become homeless.
Reacting to the reports, Nigerians on social media lambasted the Actors Guild of Nigeria, accusing the association of abandoning the veteran Nollywood star.
Well, Kemi Adekomi, the Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity to the President of the Guild, Emeka Rollas, in a statement released on Monday afternoon, said the Guild has in the past four years taken care of Aguba by providing him with accommodation and medical interventions until his case degenerated recently.
The statement read,
“The attention of the Actors Guild of Nigeria has been drawn to an online viral picture of veteran actor, Kenneth Aguba living on the street. The National President of the Guild, Ejezie Emeka Rollas wishes to state in clear terms that the Guild has never abandoned Kenneth Aguba.
Enugu state chapter of the Guild and individual members have been supportive in both provision of accommodation and medical interventions in the past four years to the veteran actor until his matter which could be a spiritual issue, degenerated recently.
The Guild just does not make public, issues regarding assistance to its members. The National President frowns at the shades thrown at the leadership of the Guild since the story went viral, describing it as the handwork of detractors which may not be unconnected with the present towering reputation of the Guild.
Actors Guild of Nigeria wishes to reiterate that it welcomes inquiries on issues regarding welfare of members, as the Guild runs an open-door policy and calls on the public to always verify their stories before expressing not-so-palatable comments. Meanwhile, the National President wishes to thank good spirited members who have called to show concern and willingness to provide immediate intervention.”

Author and clergywoman, Laurie Idahosa, has given a golden word of advice to single ladies waiting for Mr. Right.
Laurie in a post shared on her social media page, advised them to stop committing to men prematurely and instead wait for him to communicate his intentions clearly.
According to her, ladies should keep their options open until a man tells them he wants to be committed to them in clear terms.

Peter Obi’s 2007 letter where he rejected lands allocated to him as the Governor of Anambra state surfaces
A letter presidential flagbearer of Labour Party, Peter Obi, wrote in 2007 to reject lands allocated to him as the then-Governor of Anambra state has surfaced online.
The Anambra State Housing Development Corporation allotted a plot of land at Hill View Housing Estate in Nkwelle-Ezunaka to Peter Obi as contained in an official letter released online.
However, the former Governor blatantly rejected the offer and stated that it’s wrong for him to benefit from the allocation.
According to him, he was elected as the Governor by the divine power of God and he has no intention of benefiting from anything in the state owing to his office.
He further noted that he was elected to serve the people of Anambra state and firmly believes he has to distance himself from the undue privileges of the office.
The letter reads in part,
“As I have made abundantly clear, my being the Governor is by the Grace of God and I believe firmly that it is wrong to benefit from that. I became the Governor because I wish to serve my people, and to do that devotedly, I believe I have to distance myself from undue privileges of the office.
Consequently, as I thank you for your thoughtfulness, I wish to decline the allocation based on the reasons already adduced.”
Lady recounts how her neighbour match-made her with her younger brother as a child and now they are married
A Nigerian lady, Patience Patrick, has shared the interesting story of how she got married to her neighbour’s younger brother.
Patience in a post shared in a closed Facebook group, recounted how her neighbour used to call her her younger brother’s wife when she was 5 or 6 years old.
She said her neighbour asked her parents for permission to take her to Gombe state to visit her brother and other family members.
While there, she made them wear a little bride’s gown and a suit and took pictures of them together with the hope of them getting married some day.
In the lengthy story she shared alongside a picture from their pre-wedding photo shoot, Precious disclosed that they are now married.

“My husband’s elder sister came to stay in our family compound as a tenant wen I was about 4 or 5 years. She loves children and was very fond of me and my younger brother then, so she would always tell my mum dat she has found a wife for her younger brother (me oh) and they will just laugh about it. So dat year December she pleaded with my mum to allow me follow her home to see her parents for Christmas, because they were already friends with mumcy it wasn’t hard for my parents to agree oh and we traveled to Gombe together with her.
She told her parents and siblings that she brought wife for Joseph, and they will always joke and tease him with him, while huncle was feeling shy and not liking it, It was sweeting me my thing( I was young and naive abi??).
One Sunday morning when we came back from church my husband’s elder sister wore this gown for me oh ( can’t remember how she got the gown though, I think it was the one her little bride used cos she was recently married), she made him wear his one in town suit too, she called photographer oh and we took pictures. She kept saying she had joined us oh remain God’s own.
Holiday was over and we came back to Jos, she brought the pictures and gave my mum one copy of it.
Fast-forward to many years later when I was in ss1 and huncle (my husband) had just graduated from sec school, he came to his elder sister’s house in Jos though she was not in our compound again but she wasn’t staying very far, so I used to still visit her sometimes with my parents and other times I go alone to help her children out cos of the nature of her job( am older than them ofcourse). So as usual na one time I went to the house and I met huncle there. And then we got talking, he asked me out ahhhh brother calm down I still dey secondary oh till I graduate. He agreed and waited for me till I graduated from sec school, we started dating.
I got admission to university and he also went for force training. He did something that hurt me and I broke up with him. He pleaded and I refused cos there was also one guy in my head too dat time, after trying to no avail he just told me “he’s certain that I am his wife so no matter where I go or who I date I will still come back” and I was like abeg getat. I think he got angry and even blocked me on his social media handles, ahhhh wetin concern me.
Later on once in a while we got talking again just as friends though even though I knew he still liked me, i even told him how my one of my boyfriend broke my heart, guess wat he said??? ” That’s how they will keep breaking ur heart till you decide to come back to me”
That was how huncle started posting one girl’s picture on his wastapp status with love emojis ahhhhh na so jealousy start oh ( no b like say we dey date oh).
One day I asked him y he was posting her picture oh, he said he was getting married to her November 2020!! Ewooooo my blood is not flowing again. Dat was wen i realized I was really in love with this guy ahhhhhhhh later told me he was just joking oh, and we came back together, the next thing was I want to come and see your parents and that was how God’s work was completed in our lives”
“Using the spirit of fear to preach is why I’ve not been to church since 2018” – Uti Nwachukwu reveals
Reality TV star and media personality, Uti Nwachukwu, has revealed he has not been to a church in Nigeria since 2018.
The Big Brother Africa star made this disclosure while reacting to American preacher Creflo Dollar’s recanting all his teachings on tithe.
According to Uti, the reason he has not been to a church in Nigeria since 2018 is the use of fear by clergymen to preach.
He stated that he had been speaking about all that the American preacher, Creflo Dollar, said in his sermon about the church and tithing before now, but he was severally attacked by African Christians.
“I’ve been saying this again ang again!! but African Christians go attack me cos they want to make money thru miracles. Abi major pastor don talk am now. I also talked about using the spirit of fear to preach!! Reason I haven’t stepped inside a church building in Naija since 2018!! God bless the truth”. He wrote.
Recall that, American preacher, Creflo Dollar, declared that tithing is not biblical and apologized to his congregation for his previous teachings that encouraged tithing.
The clergyman who has been an advocate for tithing for many years, during a recent sermon in his church, admitted that all his previous teachings on tithing and giving were wrong.
He stated that he’s still growing and urged his congregation to do away with his previous books, tapes, and videos on tithing. He stated that he has seen the truth now, and is not ashamed to contradict his previous messages.
Creflo, who stressed that tithing is Old Testament teaching and no longer relevant for New Testament believers, cited Romans 6: 14 to buttress how Christians now live under grace and not the laws of the Old Testament.

The young Nigerian man recently bagged a PhD from a prestigious university in the UK, and decided to rock the popular Igbo attire, Isiagu, to the graduation ceremony.
When he was called up stage, the proud Igbo man, who complemented his attire with a horse tail, joyfully went up stage dancing the Igbo cultural dance.

Angry mob set three suspected armed robbers ablaze in Abia (Photos/video)
An enraged mob has set ablaze three suspected armed robbers who were nabbed in Aba Local Government Area of Abia State.
The suspects are said to be among criminals terrorizing Point of Sale (POS) operators, traders, and residents at Abayi, along Aba-Owerri Road, Afor-Ule, Umuimo, and Kamalu streets in the Osisioma axis of Aba.
According to reports, the robbery suspects were set ablaze at different locations in Aba on Sunday, July 3.
An eyewitness told Vanguard that the men were caught by irate youths after they had allegedly robbed a POS operator and some shops in the area.
“After robbing the POS operator and some shops, the robbers fled when people raised alarm. Some youths gave them a hot pursuit but they were knocked off their motorcycle by a moving vehicle. The youths caught up with them and set them ablaze; one at the opposite a Bank, others are burned at a Bank junction and Paper Mill. These boys have been robbing PoS operators and shops.Today, nemesis has caught up with them,” the eyewitnesses said.
Geoffrey Ogbonna, the spokesperson of the State Police Command who confirmed the incident to Channels Television on Monday, July 4, said the suspects were burnt to death on Sunday in an effort to escape the scene of the crime, adding that the situation caused gridlock along Osisioma.
“The jungle justice is preventing police authority to further probe the activities of robbery kingpin in the area, which has been terrorizing the residents; we don’t know their names, even the suspect that escaped,” Ogbonna said.
While condemning the incident, he warned residents of the state against taking the law into their own hands.
Meanwhile, a resident, Kenneth Tuga, who shared photos from the scene on Facebook, said five suspects were caught and burnt to death.
“Security Watch. Faulks Road Aba. If you are stealing, breaking people’s shops, Attacking POS with guns. Aba dey vex badly now. Body count is 5….not that we support jungle justice but the fact is that these guys are getting viciously mean and the people are responding in kind. We have one broken broken shop, the robbers came with RAV 4 grey SUV and stole more than 6 televisions and absconded when alarm was raised. An eye for an eye. Too bad. We no dey sleep.” He wrote on Facebook.

Woman set ablaze by her estranged husband grabs him while burning, killing herself and him
A man, identified as Ponle Adebanjo, and his estranged wife, Lateefat, have died from burn injuries after a domestic dispute.
In the incident that occurred in Abule Oturi, Akute, Ogun state on Saturday, July 2, the man stormed his wife’s house and set her ablaze for moving out of his house over incessant domestic abuse.
However, the victim grabbed her husband while she was burning and inflicted serious injuries on him as well.
A journalist who took to Twitter to share the disheartening incident wrote,
“At Ajuwon Police Station: Wife separates from abusive husband. Months later (this morning) husband goes to wife’s new apartment doused her with petrol and set her alight. Burning wife grabs husband while she burns. Both with serious burn injuries, need urgent medical care.”
The Ogun State Police command have now confirmed the incident in a statement released on Sunday, July 3, where they disclosed that both husband and wife have died.

“The suspect was arrested on Saturday after concerned neighbours reported the incident to the police at the Otun-Akute division.
“The estranged husband, Ponle, was reported to have told many people in the area that his wife had no right to live alone and vowed that no other man would be with her after she left him due to physical abuse.
“The couple was married for three years and resided in Otun-Akute, until the woman, Lateefat, decided to leave him when she could no longer cope with the abuse.
“Mr Ponle was said to have gone to the residence of his ex-wife and threatened to kill her if she did not return to his house.
“Their neighbours explained that the man was fond of beating the woman, at times almost to the point of death. Their fights were said to have become a community matter as the woman was hospitalised on many occasions until she decided to pack out of his house a month ago when she rented an apartment on the same street.”
“The suspect went to Lateefat’s house last Thursday, June 30, and threatened to burn her alive but she fled
“Mr Ponle went back to the victim’s house on Saturday night (July 2) and met her praying. He poured petrol on her in the room and set her ablaze, but the woman managed to grab him to ensure they burned together until people intervened. They were rushed to a nearby hospital where the woman was confirmed dead. The suspect, who was handed over to the police, later died. “

“I want to apologize because if it wasn’t for me going down that route, I wouldn’t have ended up where I am right now. But I will say that I have no shame at all by saying to you to throw away every book, every tape and every video I’ve made on the subject of tithing.”
“Why is this important, because religion is sustained by two factors; fear and guilt. And if there’s one subject that the church has used for a very long time to kee people in fear and guilt, it’s in that subject of tithing. And it has to corrected now. I may lose some friends, preachers may not invite me no more but I think I already been through that so it doesn’t matter.” He said.

Owo church massacre: Father and 11-year-old daughter laid to rest in Enugu
A 57-year-old man, Mr Ani Virginus Ugwuja, who was killed alongside his 11-year-old daughter in the terrorist attack at the Saint Francis Catholic Church in Owo, Ondo state has been laid to rest.
The father and daughter were buried on Saturday, July 2, at their hometown in Muohagwu Obie Aku village in the Igbo-Etiti Local Government Area of Enugu State.
It was learnt that the deceased’s wife and one of his children had attended the early morning service that fateful day in June and returned safely before he, alongside his son and daughter, Chidiogo, joined the next service during which the terrorists struck.
Viral reports claim that Ugwuja’s son survived by falling on his father’s body, feigning to have also been shot.
On Sunday, June 5, gunmen attacked worshippers during mass, killing at least 38 people, and about 80 others sustained varying degrees of injuries during the attack.
A funeral mass was held in honor of those slain in the attack on Friday, June 17.
However, twenty-one coffins were brought to the church for the funeral service, as a few of them had already been buried because the relatives couldn’t wait.
In other news, Bishop David Oyedepo, the Head Pastor of the Living Faith Church, has declared that the attackers of the St. Francis Church in Owo, Ondo State, will face consequences for their crimes.
Reacting to the tragic incident during a sermon at the church’s headquarters, Ota in Ogun State on Wednesday, the clergyman expressed outrage at the level of insecurity ravaging the country.
He pronounced immediate judgment on the killers, declaring that they would perish alongside their sponsors.

Former Big Brother Naija housemate, Cross Okonkwo, has opened up on his relationship with the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar.
It would be recalled that on June 2, Cross sparked mixed reactions on Twitter after he revealed that he had a video call with the former vice president whom he called his “father” and shared a screenshot as proof.

Lady drops her ex-boyfriend’s child in offering bowl during his church wedding to another woman in Akwa Ibom
A rather bizarre incident occurred during a wedding ceremony that was held in Akwa Ibom State recently.
It was gathered that the groom, identified as Mr. Solomon Etim Usanga, from Ini Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State, was taking his wedding vows with his bride when his ex-lover, with whom he has a child, stormed the venue with their child.
The baby’s mother, who is said to have attended the wedding solely to abandon the child with the father, went to the altar and dropped the baby in an offering bowl the groom was carrying.
A photo from the event that’s gone viral shows the baby inside the offering bowl the groom was carrying while his bride stood beside him.
Sharing the photo online, a Facebook user Ofonime Honest wrote,
“BABY MAMA ABANDONS BABY FOR COUPLE ON WEDDING DAY
A certain Mr. Solomon Etim Usanga of Ini LGA received the shock of his life on his wedding day as his estranged lover, Comfort Solomon stormed his wedding venue during offering and “offered” their love child to the father and walked away while the couple were holding offering basins to receive offerings for the church as is the practice in some denominations during wedding.”
Pastor offers free accommodation, feeding to “homeless” veteran actor Kenneth Aguba
The General Overseer of Omega Power Ministries, Chibuzor Chinyere, has offered free accommodation to veteran actor, Kenneth Aguba, who is reportedly homeless and has nowhere to stay.
In the early hours of Monday, July 4, photos of the veteran thespian in a shabby environment looking downcast surfaced online and sparked concern from Nigerians.
It was alleged that Kenneth Aguba is homeless and lives in the shabby structure where the photos were taken.
In an updated development, a popular clergyman, Apostle Chibuzor, known for his benevolence, has now offered free accommodation to Aguba.
“Who knows the contact of this actor should tell him to contact me immediately. Instead of him sleeping on the streets, I apostle chibuzor chinyere GO of OPM is giving him a free accommodation in one of the OPM free estates. With free feeding.” He wrote on Twitter.

This comes after Apostle Chibuzor Chinyere donated a fully equipped restaurant to the family of late Deborah Samuel, who was killed for alleged blasphemy in Sokoto.
It would be recalled that when the family lost their daughter, who was a student at Shehu Shagari College of Education, to the mob attack, the General Overseer of Omega Power Ministry promised to help transform their lives.
He helped the family move from Kaduna to Port Harcourt, where he gifted them a mini estate and a car. He also placed the siblings of the late Deborah on scholarships.
He didn’t stop there, either, as he just donated a fully equipped restaurant to the parents of late Deborah Samuel.

The power couple, who seem to have a fun and humour-filled marriage, answered some questions pertaining to their life as a couple.
However, the highlight of the interview was when Segun was asked to list three things he loves about his wife and he said he loves the fact that she gives him money.
Toyin, a successful fashion designer, seemed uncomfortable with his response and quickly watered down his statement by saying her husband rarely asks her for money and she doesn’t want people to push the narrative that he married her for her money.
According to her, Segun is the only guy she has dated/married who wasn’t interested in her because of her money and he only asks for money when he has expended all his options

It would be recalled that Femi Fani-Kayode recently reunited with his estranged wife, Precious Chikwendu, after months of a tempestuous custody battle for their four sons.
Precious had severally accused the former Aviation Minister of keeping their children away from her and threatening her with his power and influence.

Well, it appears FFK and precious are finally willing to let bygones be bygones and let peace reign, as revealed by Dele Momomodu in an Instagram post on Sunday, July 3.
Sharing photos of the pair on his Instagram page, Momodu revealed that FFK loves his ex-wife, Precious and there are now reconciliation moves between them.

“My greatest regret is not signing Teni and Patoranking when I had the chance to” – Music executive, Soso Soberekon
Nigerian music executive, Soso Soberekon has disclosed that he regrets not signing popular singers, Teni Makanaki and Patoranking, when he had the chance to.
He made this disclosure during an interactive session with his followers on Instagram when a follower asked for his greatest regret in life.
“What is your greatest regret or decision you didn’t take?” he asked.
In response, the record label owner revealed that he regrets not signing Teni and Patoranking when the opportunity arose.
According to him, Patoranking went the extra mile to get his attention when he was a struggling artiste but he flouted the opportunity and signed another artiste who isn’t doing so well now.
He wrote,
“Why I didn’t sign Patoranking & Teni when I had the chance to, especially Patoranking. He was taking Okada from Ikorodu/Ebute Meta to meet me several times with his demo CD. Begging me to sign him but I couldn’t sign him then, but later signed someone else that Patoranking is 100 times bigger than today.”

During his performance at an event last night, July 3, the 30BG boss invited the lucky fan on stage to perform his hit track “Stand Strong” with him.
After the performance, Davido gave her his pair of Nike sneakers and asked one of his aides to give her N2 million.
The excessively thrilled woman leapt, bent, rolled on the stage, and later sprinted across the stage in enthusiasm, unsure of how else to express her joy.

New photos of veteran Nollywood actor, Kenneth Aguba that surfaced on the internet have stirred concern from fans and followers.
The now viral photos show the veteran Nollywood star sitting in a shabby environment and looking downcast.
The actor, according to a well-meaning Nigerian who posted the pictures online, is currently homeless and without a place to stay.
It’s gathered that Aguba currently stays in front of the old shop where the photos were taken.
Taking to the comments, a number of social media users alleged that the report was true, and that they had seen him sleeping on the street in Enugu.
An Instagram user @omapretty_14 wrote, “That man needs help. He doesn’t have a child or wife as I heard and I have seen him at Enugu sleeping from street to shops”.
