A Nigerian man, Kelvin Ejaife Anihwehwe and his wife, Barrister Ogujor Tejiri, have welcomed a set of twins, boy and girl, after 11 years of marriage.

Friends and family members took to Facebook to share the good news and celebrate the couple.

“Hmmmm. Words fail me if I don’t appreciate this our God for the life of this couple in particular. 11 years ago i was the chief bride maid for this couple after so many years of waiting God rained his blessings over them with a set of twin a girl and boys. please friends help me salute this our God ooo. Big Congratulations to Mr and Barrister Mrs Kelivn Ejaife Kelvin Anihwehwe I celebrate you guys specially because it can only get better and a happiness is a choice.” Avwerosuo Eyeboka Obaroefe wrote on Tuesday, July 5, 2022.

Diners at a popular restaurant in Lagos state were left disappointed after spotting a live centipede crawling inside the bowl of Isi ewu (goat head) they ordered.

The diners were at the restaurant to treat themselves to a bowl of sumptuous Isi Ewu, but unfortunately, they could not get themselves to eat the meal after spotting the live creature.

The disappointed customers recorded the centipede and shared the video online to warn other customers.

The incident reportedly happened in a restaurant in Ago, Okota area of Lagos state.

In other news, a Nigerian lady has taken to Twitter to share the long list of provisions her younger brother in boarding school requested for.

According to @officialtomi1, her brother who is currently in Junior Secondary School 2 sent the list ahead of visiting day in his school.

Visiting day is a much anticipated day for boarding students as their parents are allowed to pay them a visit and bring food, provisions, school materials and other treats.

In anticipation of the special day, Tomi’s brother sent an insanely long list of things he wants his parents to bring along when coming to visit him and it contained ridiculous items.

The young lad requested for shawarma, pizza, pastries, fried rice, chocolate, soft drinks and so many junk food alongside other basic needs.

A woman has gone viral on social media after she recently caused a stir in a banking hall.

According to the woman, over one million naira was withdrawn from her account within thirty minutes, a withdrawal she never approved so she stormed the bank to demand answers over the apparent crime.

Speaking in Yoruba, she said ;

Money disappeared from my account.

Normally I don’t withdraw more than One Hundred and Fifty Thousand Naira from my Account daily.

Over 1 Million was stolen from my account within thiry minutes.

I ran to the bank, UBA while the act was going on they told me they can’t help me.

Even within the period I came in they could have stopped the people behind the act, but they did not respond to my alarm.

Since Friday i laid the complaint, now they are telling me they will send a mail to their headquarters.

Even Me, I can’t withdraw more than One Hundred and Fifty thousand Naira from my account, yet over 1 Million has now been stolen.

Two officials of the Porth Harcourt Electricity Distribution Company (PHED) were attacked as they attempted to disconnect the power lines of defaulters in Rumuewhara area of Port Harcourt.

In a video that was shared online, one of the two PHED workers is noticed to be on top of a ladder disconnecting the power lines while another was at the foot of the ladder.

Suddenly, locals approached the official at the foot of the ladder and attacked him before throwing him to the ground and landing heavy blows on him.

While the official already on ground is being fought with, a woman walks up to the ladder and pulls it, causing the PHED official on top of the ladder to fall several feet to the ground.

A video of the attack has gone viral on Twitter after a user shared it asking that officials of the power distribution company shouldn’t be treated like this.

They wrote,

Long story cut short.

This happened in Rumuewhara Port Harcourt. PHED officials can’t be treated like this.

A judge won’t like to see this regardless. This is wrong on every level so we are putting out there in the news right now.

A South African church carries out virginity test on female members of the church aged 18 and above.

It was gathered that the church – Nazareth Baptist Church in Durban, South Africa – began this practice to encourage young ladies in the church to keep their virginity.

It’s said to be a yearly event which takes place in the middle of the year and a ‘Certificate of Virginity’ is given to those who pass the test and a white mark is made on their foreheads.

The certificate is only valid for one year and the ladies are expected to conduct another test in the following year.

The virginity test for 2022/2023 was conducted by the church on Tuesday, July 6, and the successful ladies were issued a certificate as usual.

The certificate was signed by the leader of the church and the specialist who inspected their virginity.

In other news, a Canada-based Nigerian lady has shared an email her father sent to her in 2014 advising her to focus on school work and self development.

The lady, identified as Adebanke Falade, who was 21 at the time took to Twitter to share a screenshot of the email.

Her father advised her not to be in a hurry to get married and instead focus on developing herself and acing her courses.

According to him, most people who got married below 25 ended up divorced because of the financial pressure and immaturity.
